The “women can get sex anytime” line is technically true, but getting sex ≠ getting intimacy. A lot of women will tell you they’d rather be alone than have empty sex. Same way a lot of men would rather be alone than be treated like an ATM.

So I’d put it like this: men tend to feel most loved through sex and affection, women tend to feel most loved through provision and protection. When either of those goes missing long-term, people check out. That’s the real trap, not just “sex vs money.”
