I recently created and connected a PayPal account here in Nigeria through Paga without using a VPN.

I made a full video showing every screen and click, but let me explain the actual process here too.

Before starting, have these ready:

* Your NIN
* Your BVN
* Your current phone number
* The number linked to your NIN
* The number linked to your BVN
* A valid means of identification: passport, national ID card, driver’s licence, or voter’s card
* A well-lit place for face verification

The process has three stages.

1. Create your Paga account

Download the Paga app from the Play Store or App Store and click on sign up.

Choose the NGN account option, enter a phone number you can access, and verify it with the code sent to you.

After that, enter your NIN and complete the face verification. Make sure you are in a well-lit place and allow camera access when Paga asks.

Once that is done, enter your email address, create your password, and continue.

Paga will then ask for the phone number linked to your NIN. Enter it, verify your NIN, complete the remaining details like your state, LGA, city, and address, then create or choose your Paga tag.

That completes the first stage.

2. Verify your Paga account

Go to your Paga profile and verify your email address first.

You should receive an email from Paga. Open it and click the verification link.

Next, go back to your Paga dashboard and verify your BVN. You will need to enter the phone number linked to your BVN.

After it is successful, you should receive a notification that your Paga account has been upgraded.

3. Create and connect your PayPal account

Once your Paga account is verified, open the PayPal option from your Paga dashboard and click on connect PayPal.

You will see an option to log in or sign up. Click sign up if you do not already have a PayPal account.

Some details may already be filled in. Complete the missing ones, such as your date of birth and postcode.

A code will be sent to your phone. Enter it, then create your PayPal login details.

Use an email address that has not been used for another PayPal account before, and keep the email and password safe because you will need them to log in later.

Accept the agreement, create the account, and connect it to Paga.

Final step: verify your PayPal account

After connecting it, you may still need to verify your PayPal account.

Open the notification on your Paga dashboard, continue to PayPal, log in, click on the verification notification, then select “Resolve.”

You will be asked to upload a valid ID. I used the biodata page of my international passport.

PUBLIC NOTICE – PLEASE READ

I’m making this public because my dealings with *Mr. Kalil, CEO of PETABYTE ESPORTS*, resulted in *unfulfilled agreements and treatment that felt extremely dishonest* after I completed months of graphics design work for him.

For three months, I worked under an arrangement where I was *clearly told* that after the internship period, I would be recruited and start receiving a monthly salary. I asked about the terms from the beginning, and I was assured there was *no need for a written contract* because the promise was solid.

However, after completing the internship and consistently delivering graphics work, I was suddenly presented with *new conditions that were never part of our agreement*. He attempted to impose an “equity percentage” arrangement instead of the *salary-based agreement* we originally discussed.

I made my position clear:

* *Either* he pays me for the three months of work I have already completed,
* *Or* he honors the original salary agreement going forward.

Up till now, he has refused to commit to either of these reasonable options.

I am sharing my experience publicly so that individuals and companies can exercise *serious caution* when entering into any form of working arrangement with him. My intention is to inform others so they do not end up in a situation where agreements are changed after work has already been done.

This notice is based entirely on my personal experience.
