miracle002: This is the beauty of competition. If the momentum of this competition is sustained, price of petroleum may come down to 400 per liter by March 2026.
Dangote wanted to gain absolute monopoly over petroleum industry. It won't work, as you slash your price, others will follow suit. Fuel importation will continue and you cannot stop it
See how u dey tink.fuel importation should continue n our currency should continue to have no value.wat we should pray for is other refineries to come in bt never importation
Why will one man wake up and connive with his Co travellers of Eastern extraction to rewrite people's identity simply because he wants to be governor at all cost
We are not against the creation of Anioma State, but zoning it to South East is the bone of contention here
Instead of Anioma to be a South East state, let it remain where it is.
The sad Easterners can go create their sixth Sad east state from Orlu or Etiti and leave Anioma alone
malali: This is why Nigeria will always move backwards. We are slowly watching an individual capture the whole energy sector of a country.
This refinery was built on subsidized dollars from Nigerian CBN. This dollars were subsidized by all Nigerians. It was built at 350 naira to a dollar.
Now that 1 dollar is 1500naira. Nobody can build a refinery of that size in Nigeria. And no foreign investor will come to Nigeria and build a refinery. Because you cannot compete with one built at a cheaper 350 naira to 1 dollar.( By doing this he has established a monopoly)
Now this new puppet NMDPRA CEO will dance to Dangote's tune and petrol supply will be monopolized by him. Oga quiet...go n build u own industries n employ hundred of thousands in naija who are better paid than most government workers before u complain In a country like China, if Government gives you subsidized dollars and import waivers a portion of that refinery say 30-40% will be nationalized. It will be owned by the people. Because Nigerians revenue was used to subsidize the dollars.
Dangote built the refinery at 350 Naira to 1 dollar but will now sell petrol at 1500naira to 1 dollar......Do you see the scam ?
What kind of business man only thrives on government subsidies, government concessions, import waivers and monopoly of the market ?
TUANKU: If you believe this shifty man Farouk is innocent then you can as well believe in flying pigs.
Farouk is a criminal....he is assisting this oil cabals to sabotage a working refinery becos of kickbacks.imagine saying his late father contributed to his children schl fees
If he d nurudeen accepted n pushed for a promotion to general after being promoted less than a year ago means he is not a real professional soldier.u know it takes 5 to 7 years for nxt rank after passing promotional exams n holding various offices bt u wan go ahead get promoted in 1 yr without approval frm millitary promotion council
SmartPolician: That's the disadvantage of marrying a woman much younger than you. I'm sure the former president would be kicking in his grave when he sees another man on his wife!
Who care if u already dead.i don die wetin concern me who climb my wife
asfrank: I recall when the president announced total deregulation of the Oil industry, people were busy making all sorts of noises.
Dangote should invest in crude mining, by so doing he reduces the cost of buying crude one way or the other. I trust he has mapped out his strategy, as new threat to his business comes up.
And if I were him, I'll lease filling stations, sell the dam thing myself... The Fuel cabal has met their match. It's Clear why successive government couldn't deregulate, and if Tinubu waited for a single day, it possible he wouldn't have done it...
He already leased filling stations. For me since d inception of d refinery i only buy mrs petrol.
bixton: There are not many of you in Nigeria who think for themselves logically without sentiments and emotions. Yoi have done well and seen it Many thanks.
Yes he did reduce d price to corner sympathy. That is business.however is wat he said tru or not?Is d refinery vital to our economy or not?do we want to stop his refinery business knowing how mch in tax he brings in?dont forget d more interest dangote refinery rakes in ..d more tax FG collects.
keemsleek: Nobody working in the oil sector that's not balling. How will I explain it? I work I the downstream sector. I know how this works; everyone is fighting for themselves first. Yes, there's corruption, and they need to reduce it, but why didn't Dangote expose them until it touched him? It's just like before u destroy me I will destroy you. Game of chess. You see all those guys bringing in product (the cabals); they've been together for a long time, it's like a cult. They will fight with everything they've got. Those guys finished Nigeria with a subsidy. You bring in 3kmt, and DPR will register 5 or 6kmt. The Navy, NPA, NUPENG, DPR, the company, and others will now share the rest. That's billions of naira stolen.
I also worked in d downstream for years being involved in inspecting petroleum products on ships before discharge to tabk farms.i can confidently tell u that d grade of petrol on paper is not wat really comes in.we get bad fuel other countries wont accept
FOLYKAZE: Dangote reduced his price to corner the people, their sympathy and every other things to himself. He then systematically attack NMDPRA, choosing the head, Farouk, for his hits. This guy is simply playing a kind of resistance as it is played out in the movie Money Heist. (simply make the established system the villain, give the populace some goodies to earn their sympathy, then direct them to destroy the enemy, the establishment). In this case NMDPRA which gave licence out to importers to scout refined products from Russia is the establishment. The question is that why should Dangote lose sleep if anyone choose to import their productd and sell at lose? Why should Dangote cry if importers chose to import and spill their products all over the sea?
Another question people fail to ask, what magic happened now that made Dangote reduce the price of his product? Has crude oil price in the international market crashed? Did FG waived import duties or the shipping cost suddenly reduced? All along, Dangote is manipulating the market selling exhorbitantly to Nigerians and now that he sees some guys ar going out to bring in fuel which could compete with him, he panicked, rush and reduced price, and now attacking NMDPRA for issuing licence for importation. What he has been doing is profiteering which is a crime.
Nigeria should wise up, the Greek gift and sudden Santa gifting from Dangote is to weed out competition. And the importers are here to stay. If they can get fuel at a reduced price from anywhere, they should be allowed to do it.
For me i will use only dangote fuel on my benz as benz typically required ron 91 petrol.Anything they bring cheap is poor quality and our scarce fx should not be used for importation of petrol.
greatiyk4u: See what Tinubu has turned our once-revered Bishop Kukah into🥲. Grand obfuscation at its finest. A whole thesis just to play around the MAIN issue.
Like Dele Farotimi opined, no one should boast of their integrity until they’ve survived Tinubu.

Of the Persecution of Christians in Nigeria : My Response
Bishop Matthew Hassan KUKAH
For over a week, I have been in the news on the basis of multiple claims that I had said that there was no persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
The outpouring of emotions is understandable especially against the backdrop of the inviolability of life, the extermination of which must not be undermined by any debates on numbers or intent.
I am grateful to my colleagues at The Kukah Centre, who issued a Statement while I was caught up with a tight schedule. I nevertheless believe that is no substitute for my personal responsibility.
First, let me say how sincerely sorry I am to be associated with representations that understandably are a source of great pain and mental anguish to so many of my brothers and sisters within the body of Christ. The outpouring of emotions suggests to me the investment of trust in me, an onus I do not take lightly.
I am baffled that despite the clarity of my position, there appear to be determined efforts to ascribed to me a position as saying that there is no persecution of Christians in Nigeria. Nothing could be further from the truth.
So, for the records, I did not say that Christians are not persecuted in Nigeria! Addressing an audience of the Catholic Knights of St. Mulumba in Kaduna on November 28th, I had spoken about the challenges of bearing witness to Christ in a time of persecution. I drew lessons from history and the stories of brave men and women in Nigeria and Africa as models of witnessing in times such as these. I concluded that the greatest challenge for Christians was unity and solidarity. Given the huge human and material resources that we have as Christians in Nigeria, if only we stood together, I argued, we would have no reason to be victims of persecution. Nothing here implied a denial of the fate of Christians.
Over the years, I have spoken extensively on the theme of persecution of Christians and have argued then as now that by whatever name we choose to call or describe our predicament, the bloodshed needs to end as soon as yesterday because our common humanity is at stake. The government and its security agencies have an urgent responsibility to bring the perpetrators to account. It is their neglect of this duty or their failure to accomplish it that detains us all in an appearance of disagreement without difference.
As a people, I believe we owe ourselves the collective duty to regain our humanity not as perpetual victims but as equal citizens of our land. Too many innocent souls have been lost, too much blood shed and our children and citizens are in captivity. Amidst the nadir of this pain, it is important that we focus on reclaiming the soul of our nation.
I am deeply sorry for the unnecessary distraction. These moments are too serious for us to equivocate. This is not the time for us to retreat or be distracted. This is a contest that we must win. The journey may be painful. We may falter along the way but we will only reach our destination by learning our lessons, standing up even when we stumble, and always keeping our eyes on the ultimate prize, peace for our country, Justice for those injured, and reconciliation for our people.
This is a struggle that I have committed most of my pastoral and intellectual life to. It is a struggle in which I pray that, by clinging to the old rugged cross, we can one day exchange it for a crown. So, let us all get back on the road especially as the spirit of Bethlehem beckons.

Haba kukah...u disappointed Nigerians. No one even asked u to lie...jst say d truth
They wanted benue bishops to come to abj to see members of congress...bishops refused n asked congress to come to benue n see for theirselves so no one controls d narrative
