She eventually helped him come to the US.
After just two years, she discovered this guy had brought a woman from Nigeria but kept her in another state. Investigation revealed it was his Nigerian wife and the kids were his too.

I don't know how it ended because we lost touch. It was a very terrible situation my friend was in then.
