I was in that dilemma too. As a matter of fact, I ordered an armoured pouch for Samsung a20 on Ali express while sitl making my research on it (more like buying spare tire before the car ) . It was 90% certain I was goin to get it. I came across this Xiaomi thread while combing the Internet and esp Nairaland for it. The nane of the device first oissed me off, but I decided to just take a look at the devices when I noticed he many views the thread has, when it was created, and how active it is, till date. I discovered it has similar features with A20, and even extra. First of all, I needed a phone with type C charging port, I was tried of micro USB cos the pin gets damaged over time, and my research has it that type C phones charge fast.
The last straw that broke the camel's back in my decision making process was my brother uses A20. His daughter dropped the phone from a storey building. According to my brother, the tempered glass was a perfect description of the word "shattered", but not a single scratch on the screen itself or phone (he was using a flip pouch. Its not armoured though). So on seeing that Xiaomi RN7 has gorilla glass front and back as against A20 that has only in front, na so I RUSH am eventhough it is slightly more expensive.
Another factor I considered was cost of repairs. From MY observation overtime, it is expensive maintaining Samsung devices esp I the aspect of screen. When it gets damaged, you spend about half the price of the phone (if not more) to fix it and it is not a guarantee that it won't mess up later cos many of such screen flicker after a while and the owner is thrown in a tight space between fixing it again, selling it as scrap or abandoning it. So many usually sell after fixing the screen, before it starts to act up
The decision is ultimately yours, that was my own decision process I shared. Yours may be different. Follow your heart.
By the way, I got my Xiaomi product barely 2days after combing this thread (I don't regret it) .... But spent weeks on A20 thread. I felt I needed extra, than the features on A20. The IR blaster in Xiaomi is atleast a game changer.. I am not condemning A20 though, you can search for its thread and follow it up, I am sure you will see some impressing features there. Once again, follow your heart.

Don't just expect too much from low light photography.

If you are out with your friends, by all means show off. I bet your camera would trash theirs. But once you're indoors, especially at night, do not bother taking a picture or video calling.

Out of all the 3 phones you mentioned Xiaomi should be the last

1: Samsung A20 outperforms both Hauwei n Xiaomi in terms of performance and battery and it has fast charging with USB Type C, the rest is Micro USB without fast charging

2: Hauwei beats both of them in terms of lowlight photography, but on par with Samsung in Daylight,you need gcam to being out the good stuff in redmi 7 cam

3: Samsung and Hauwei has higher Reselling Value than Xiaomi

4: For Gaming the A20 beats both of em

And I heard the A20 is getting Android 10

So make your pick

The face unlock is available in Nigeria after their launch in April. The camera is great, if something is good won't you look for a way to make it better(Gcam)
As for the comparison make your research well and follow your heart. But I would go Redmi note 7

Something like that, but it works with a face. That is the moment it detects a face, it does the bokeh thing. So you can't use it to take random shots of objects. This is because the phone doesn't have a depth sensor or lens.

Yh exactly..no depth sensor.
But since the camera is ok generally.
I might just opt for it.

It's the first fingerprint phone I'd use.

If the fingerprint is slow, then I'm looking forward to the fast ones. Because my phone unlocks in spits seconds. I don't even have to press my finger on the scanner. same with the face scanner. had to turn of the feature because it's just to smart lol.

Don't know where y'all see your reviews. The ones I saw before getting the phone praised the fingerprint scanner.

The front cam is shitty in low light, I won't lie. But the thing is a beast outdoors or in a well lit room. But I rarely take selfies so I don't even care. Back camera is excellent.

There's always the need by people who use Xiaomi phones to put the phone down. I can't really understand why. Maybe it makes them sleep better at light. But personally, I'd pick a Samsung over a Xiaomi, in any range. And that's what I did.
The phone performs well for a 3GB RAM phone. I don't play games, because I've never believed phones are for games. That's why we have consoles or PC. Fast charging is on point. I went from 23% to 100% today in less than 1hr 30 mins. That's what I'm still using till now.

Truth is, 50k can only get you a budget device. I kept that at the back of my mind. Someday, the universe would smile at my pocket and I'd hand out 200k plus for a phone that would have everything. But with my 52k, I knew I wasn't getting everything, and frankly, I'm content with that.

I’m thinking of getting the redmi note 7 soon but i heard the face unlock isn’t available when you choose nigeria as your location..

Please how true is this and is there any way around it??

And i see everyone using gcam...does that mean the camera is bad??

I use samsung A20, my brother uses redmi 7(2GB RAM variant) and my sis uses Hauwei Y7 prime all bought around thesame time. Personally i'd recommend the Samsung to you cause when it comes to battery it's on par with the Hauwei buh the Redmi is behind them in almost all departments.
As for the front facing camera, when it comes to low light or night selfies the Hauwei is better buh in well lit environments the A20 is better; the samsung also out-performs the Hauwei in the rear camera department.

In general, the Samsung is just better than the others, in battery, camera, performance, customizability (lol, dunno if that's a word, buh u gerrit), class and prestige etc...
Finally, my advice is for you to go for the Samsung A20, it's the best among the 3

The fingerprint and face unlock on the A20 is really slow.
Actually the slowest when compared to the redmi and y7 prime.
