The recent case of ocean surge which has completely altered the shoreline scape of the Alpha beach calls to mind the risk associated with staying on the Lekki Ajah axis. I recently visited the beach to assess the damage caused by the surge and i must confess, it was a serious one. The questions playing on my mind are as follows:
1 Is it safe to build on the axis at all
2 How far from the shoreline would be considered a safe enough distance from the atlantic
3 What could be done to prevent such ocean surges in future
