Hi everyone, sorry i have been so silent for a while now. i was supposed to be team June as my EDD was 14th June but I'm happy to say that I'm a proud mother of a wonderful baby boy. i had being a having pre-contractions since the beginning of may and since i had a cerlage done, it had to be removed beco's of i started itching seriously and every drug didn't seem to stop the contractions. anyway to cut the long story short after 8 hours of labor pain i had to have a cs done as i had only dilated 5cm and my baby was forcing his way through. my boy was born healthy at 36weeks with no complications. I'm so so happy. All glory goes to God almighty. |

modath: I've never had a cerclage but had my daughter @ 37wks+1((CS) & was totally fine @ 3.8kg, the Dr wanted to do it on the day we clocked 37wks but cos I wasn't psychologically prepared that day(though I've known since the 6th month that its a repeat cs cos of baby's size) and being yoruba, preferred saturday for the owambe , asked it be moved from fri evening to satu morning.
I'm up for a CS again and I intend to have it done between 37wks-37wks+4 @ the most. I know of someone who went into labour @ 36wks, delivered a bbg and was discharged the next day, she almost didn't want to leave cos she was scared something may happen to the baby. thank you so much ... i feel much better |

vickilafab: OMG! so so sad.. usually b4 induction, ur gynae palpates d tummy to b sure baby is in right position. also, u are asked if u av any complaints (possibly 4 a scan if need be). & while on induction, mother n baby are checked frequently say every 30 mins. it's d fault of d hospital abeg, am just angry here. wish I could lay my hands on d docs n nurses on duty dat day n give dem a piece of my mind! 9 mnths for nothing!!! If labour doesn't progress, a CS is advised to save baby as induction can stress a baby wch is most likely what happened to ur friend nt endless waiting.. shuu! pls lets know d name of d hosp n location. hugs to her, its well. God wil replace her loss soonest.
PS- expectant mums, pls n pls, try and read preg n delivery materials- it goes a long way so u can monitor happenings and question ur docs n nurses so they know they are nt dealing with a novice they can just bamboozle. omg, you are so so rite. induction is harmless. when i started dialating @ 5 months and started bleeding, my doctor had to induced me in order to fasten the process of pre-term labour and it went well. my baby didn't survive beco's the lungs were not developed. its a very big mistake by the hospital your friend used. so so sorry for her lose. |

Splendblex: Pheeeew...it's been quite a while. Nobody asked about me abi, I no vex sha. I was on march list o but my baby said mummy na April I want o. BIRTH STORY My baby decided to come on saturday d 11th by 2:35 am (was over due) so on friday I woke up with pains on my left leg, told my midwife who happens to be my neighbour. (Travelled to my parents place to deliver cos hubby isn't around and d hospital I registered isn't far from home n d midwife is their neighbour.) I told her about d leg and she said it's all part of d package. I sleft afterwards n woke up with no pain throughout the day n there was no sign Of labour till around to 10 pm.I called hubby and asked him to pray and ask God to let it be the real thing cos I had been getting false signs since like 3weeks b4 I put to bed. So he told me to wake my mum but I told him it's too early and am not sure if it's not another false alarm. Around 11pm d pains intensify and I shouted mummy she woke up and started massaging my back even though e no change anything. I poo dat night n vomited all those with pains but the contractions weren't close so I tot i still have time. I later told my mum to go back to bed dat I will try to also lay down in between contractions, immediately I went to bed my water broke, I called her back and she started calling d midwife, I told her I was feeling d urge to push which was surprising to me, I told me to try n hold on but I no fit. I pushed and d baby came b4 d midwife arrived. Midwife came n finished d rest. Even though I was really frustrated cos I was over due I thank God everything came so simple I was even amazed myself. Active labour was just about 4-5 hours dat was why we couldn't make it to the hospital. To those still pushing I pray it shall all end in praise. Those waiting for their miracle, be rest assured it shall come to pass. (Too much long story, make una no vex mbok). I forgot to add that baby is a boy, handsome bobo. Lol wow, congrats |

God will see us through till the end. i throw way salute give all the mamas in the house. New recruits, pushing mamas and vigilante mamas. Our testimonies will be full. wow finally, i have a mate in this group ooo. so happy. i was wondering the same thing too,but was told that i might be too tired and also be in a hurry to pack my hospital bag if i wait for later. and i think its a good idea to start now especialy when i have no idea of the items to buy. |

@ shiller, please go and see your gynecologist immediately just to be on the safe side. your pregnancy is still very young and at a critical stage. so please don't take chances. its better for your doctor to laugh at you for being over careful than for you to be sorry. |
