If as a Christian, I am to believe everything written in the Bible then that would include the story of earth's creation. The book of Genesis accurately describes what God created on Day 2 - the Firmament and Flora. Now the flora is visible for us all to see here on earth, but the Firmament is what seems to not be agreeable with modern day science. It clearly says that God created the Firmament to 'separate the waters above from the waters below' vs 6.

What this would mean is that the whole earth was filled with water in the beginning (vs 1) but like the perfect architect that He is, God first separated the excess water which He wouldn't need from the one he would need in earth's re-creation. Now I use the word re-creation because some school of thought have it that there was an unidentified number of years btw Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 because if you look at it critically God didn't create some elements afresh since they were already present e.g water and land.

Back to my original premise, after God separated the waters, for the land to appear then the waters beneath the firmament must have been moved into an enclosed space above and beneath the earth in vs 9. It's clear the waters were gathered into a single body called the sea but I also say some were beneath because the story of the flood says in Gen 8 vs 2 that 'the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained', this particular verse gives us a clue where the waters of the flood came from - from both beneath and above sources that were held back!

Now back to the firmament, how can we prove the firmament exists? That would be hard because it would be miles away and it would seem that it is made of clear blue sky material. Could it be that we have been lied to by the world government telling us that space is real? What if we are in a closed system just like one of those snow globes where a nice looking earth is enclosed by clear glass? Did you know that if there is proof that we are surrounded by a firmament (that reaches across both ends of the earth) that would prove beyond reasonable doubt that there is an intelligent Creator who designed earth solely for us to live in. We hear about meteors in space so why is it that the earth is yet be hit by one of these several meteors? I know it goes against what we have been taught in science, but we need to start thinking outside the box, maybe there is a propaganda by the world government to get us not to believe in a God who loves and cares for us? Why do you think there has never been a clear picture of satellites in space, only rendered images abound on the internet. What if all this space travel is a hoax and they are just hanging satellites in the firmament?

Independent studies have been carried out where a rocket was launched miles into the sky only for it to bounce off what seems to be a hard surface, take the shape of a curve and then return back to earth! I do believe the Bible and everything written in there and i am also of the opinion that the earth must be a flat circle; Isaiah 40:22 'It is He who sits above the circle of the earth and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers who stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.'
There is still a reference to the firmament in this above passage as 'the heavens', He stretches the heavens and spreads it out like a tent!

There are stories of expeditions carried out to Antarctica (the ends of the earth) where they come across walls (likely the firmament) called 'blue ice', they drill into this ice but then it heals itself back after being unable to drill all the way to the other side, they also discovered that it made entirely of oxygen! These are heavily guarded no-go areas for normal earth citizens because they can't afford to let the secret out.

In conclusion, I think we should open our minds and question what has been dumbed down our brains since we were young, seems we have been programmed to believe what the powers that be want us to. There is a God and I believe He made a flat (circled) earth enclosed by a firmament.
