Thank you for responding. I even hope I filled in the form correctly because for me, the option of paying via First Bank did not even show. In fact, it took me straight to the visa/mastercard payment page without any alternative payment option.
Do I just go to the branch with the naira equivalent of $185?
Sorry about the question but this seems very confusing.

So that you don't find yourself in problem
Enter Firstbank with cash and pay.

Good evening
I've tried using my UK bank account to pay on AVITS and it declined twice. Is the only alternative to pay via a Nigerian bank transfer?
Is it not possible to use a UK or EU bank card for this?

Fantastic! Thank you very much

1. If the USA immigration/government sees you as a threat to their society they could have banned you for life. Mind you, the sin you committed was in your teenage years, and perhaps facilitated by your parents or guardian, so that era is gone. You now have a clean record like before, it is only the injury scare that is hunting your mind and the mind of all consulars you will be meeting 😃

2. Break your mind off the negatives. Stop acting in the presence of the consular like a suspect, you are free but consular is studying your body languages. The point is , you were not qualified for both VISAS you had applied for , and you were denied just like others.

3. Go ahead and apply for your B2 VISA, and indicate in the necessary space your VISA ban , do not lie in any of your VISA application (DS-160) because they have the record but not because for the embassy to use it against you, except, if you commit another crime.

PS: If you qualified for the B2 VISA they will definitely grant you. Just go straight and don't lie.

🙏

Thanks for your reply. My husband lives in Nigeria. Would you still advise I apply for an immigrant visa?

annabee:
I will advise you apply for an immigrant visa if your spouse lives in the US.

Sorry I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but what is the likelihood of getting a tourist Visa after a 10 year ban has elapsed?

Context: Overstayed at the age of 15 and left after graduating from secondary school at the age of 18. Tried applying for a visa at the age of 23 and was denied and given a 10 year ban. Ban expired many years ago and I've tried applying twice since then and both times was denied.

I've now been married to a Nigerian American citizen for 6 years and have a 6 year old son who is also a a Nigerian American national.
Does this put me in a better position for a tourist visa? What can I do to increase my chances?
Husband plans on filing for me next year but he will be travelling to the US for his sisters wedding soon and I would like to join him
