What’s the best way to apply for a fresh passport or renew an expired passport in Nigeria? I’ve got a guy who works with Immigration. He’s pretty good but with the new passport system, can I just apply online, or should I ask him to help facilitate the process?

I heard a story about someone who applied online for a passport, and when he didn’t get a date for his capture, he went in and was told, “Online will let you know when it’s time for capture.” Lol.

My advice will be use the guy you have. A friend did the later i.e. online for her kids and it was not a pleasant experience and she had to facilitate things with an officer after multiple visits to the immigration office which yielded no result for months.
