Messi's 21 months jailed term appealed for

Following the recent conviction of the Barcelona forward Lionel Messi who was convicted for Tax fraud alongside his father father, Jorge Messi, who was also given a jail term for defrauding Spain of €4.1m (£3.5m; $4.5m) between 2007 and 2009.

The Argentine super star Messi and his father were found guilty of three counts of tax fraud in Wednesday's ruling by the court in Barcelona.



As well as the jail terms, Messi was fined about €2m and his father €1.5m. They made a voluntary €5m "corrective payment", equal to the alleged unpaid tax plus interest, in August 2013.

According to bbc it was reported that the sentence can be appealed against at the Spanish supreme court.


Although they are also facing millions of euros in fines for using tax havens in Belize and Uruguay to conceal earnings from image rights.


However, neither Lionel Messi or his father Jorge Messi is expected to serve time in jail.

The Federal Government Thursday scrapped the conduct of post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) for candidates seeking admission into higher institution.

The government explained that all tertiary institutions were at liberty to conduct screening for candidates seeking admission into any school.

Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, said this on Thursday in Abuja after declaring open the 2016 Combined Policy Meeting on Admissions to Universities, Polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria.

Adamu, expressed confidence in the examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), adding that there was no need for other examination to be conducted by universities after JAMB.

He said: “As far as I am concerned the nation has confidence in what JAMB is doing. The universities should not be holding another examination and if the universities have any complain against JAMB let them bring it and then we address it.

“If JAMB is qualified enough to conduct tests and they have conducted test then there will be no need to conduct another test for students to gain admission.”

The Minister also asked the JAMB to stop extra charges on several categories of changes on admissions such as the change of course, change of school and others.

Meanwhile, the JAMB has pegged the cut – off mark for admission for 2016 at 180.

The 180 benchmark, applies to all universities and higher institutions in the country, including polytechnics, colleges of education, and others.

JAMB’s Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, after a long debate with delegates from various institutions, told journalists that no institution would go below the 180 cut-off set by the board.

He said: “180 is given, no institution will go below 180 this year, And some universities can go above it, I know University of Ife will not go below 200 and University of Lagos will not go below 200 and also UI. All these ones stand but 180 as bench mark for others.

“This year we have more than enough candidates, we have over 1.5 million candidates so we will get enough candidates to take in all the schools if they are serious. Re-distribution is already ongoing, because it is embedded in the registration procedure.”

How to Extract Email Addresses from your Gmail Messages

Acme Widgets Inc. has been in business for over 10 years and they have exchanged emails with thousands of customers and suppliers. The email messages are archived neatly in Gmail but most of the email addresses aren’t stored in Google Contacts. The company is now shifting office and they need to inform everyone via email of the office move.

The big task ahead is to extract all these email addresses from the Gmail mailbox and download them in a format, like CSV, that can be easily imported into the Google address book or a mailing list service like MailChimp.

Introducing Email Address Extractor, a Google add-on that sifts through all email messages in your Gmail account, extracts the email addresses and saves them in a Google Spreadsheet. It works for both Gmail and Google Apps accounts.

The Extractor can mine email addresses from a particular Gmail folder (label) or the entire mailbox. You can choose to extract emails of the sender, the recipient(s) and those in the CC list. The add-on can also parse the email‘s subject and message body for email addresses. This is useful for extracting addresses from generic senders, like PayPal emails or contact forms, where the email addresses are contained in the message body.

Install the Gmail Extractor add-on and grant the necessary permissions. The add-on needs access to your Gmail and also to Google Drive for saving the email list inside a Google Spreadsheet.
Go to the addons menu inside the Google Spreadsheet, choose Email Address Extract and click Start to launch the extractor addon.
Specify the search criteria and all emails that match the rule will be parsed by the extractor. You may use any of the Gmail Search operators to filter messages.
Next select the fields (to, from, cc, bcc) that should be parsed for extracting emails (screenshot). The add-on can also pull names of the sender and recipients if they are available inside the message header.

Click the “Start” button and the extractor will start pulling emails into the spreadsheet. The entire process may take some time depending up on the size of your Gmail mailbox.

The Google sheet should remain open and the computer should be online during the extraction. If the connection is lost, or if the extraction process is interrupted for some reason, you can simply click the “Resume” button and the extractor will pick from where it left off earlier.

If you go back to Gmail, you’ll find a new label called Extracted. This keeps tracks of the emails that have been processed and can safely delete this label after all the email address have been parsed and extracted.

The Google Spreadsheet created by Email Extractor add-on has two sheets – All Emails & Unique Emails. This is the sheet you should use for building your address book.

Do you ever wonder what is the demographics of people who follow you on Twitter. How many of your Twitter friends are men? Or women? Or random colored eggs, people who are either too lazy to change their default avatar or maybe they are Twitter bots.

The Graph Search of Facebook can provide deep insights into the demographics of people who are connected with you on the social network. For instance, you can write a natural language query like “My friends who are older than 30” or “My female friends who live in Delhi” and the answer will be available instantly. Such granular data is however not available for Twitter users.

Let me also share this hidden trick used to search for unpopular domain names. The reason you should choose the very unpopular ones is this; you would have no competition as regards to domain name searches on Google. Let us assume you bought a domain name like www.yahoo.edu.ng knowing full well that yahoo is already a registered domain name and has occupied everywhere on the web with its domain and sub-domains and someone wants to visit your own yahoo site because he wants to get information on a particular educational post you updated and did not know the full site id and decides to just type yahoo on Google search. It’s very-very likely that on Google’s first to 100th page that your own site does not appear. You may think am just over rating this issue. Yes yahoo has occupied all over the web because it has its links all over hundreds of thousands and millions of website worldwide, therefore those site carrying yahoo’s web links has to appear 1st immediately after the original yahoo site respectively and then your own appears. Mind you nobody has the time to keep looking for your blog from page to page. Once you are not found on the 1st to 3rd page at worst 5th just forget about it. You would be thrown out of the competition ASAP thereby making it very hard for you to stream loads of traffic, and you know your source of revenue depends on the amount of traffic you are able to generate either weekly or monthly.

Now try to choose domain names that have little or no relevance on the internet search terms and believe me it would pay you off. Even if your blog followers have issues mapping out your blog site directly from the URL they still can browse through, using Google search and finding you site on the no.1 site on the first page. 2. Login with your Google id and password in the Sign In section.

· HOW TO DESIGN A BLOGGER HOSTED BLOG

This is where the work starts, try to pay much attention because it’s not easy to read from a book and work alone without someone guiding you, so I’m going to make this tutorial be worth the while and believe me you would not need to hire someone or pay someone a lofty amount of money to fix your blog for you on air. These are the gradual steps needed to be able to design a website.

1. Log on to www.blogger.com

2. If you already have a Google account sign in but if you don’t have sign up.

3. You would see a box that requires your blog title. Fix the tile of your blog there. Please not something like www.bloggertexter..com. It’s something like this ‘blogger tester the no.1 gurus blog in Nigeria’

4. After signing up you would be required to choose a name for your blog. E.g. 2. Your O ’level result must not be older than tow (2) years.
3. Only results from WAEC/NECO that was written from April – July are registered only i.e. if you are applying with NOV-DEC /SEPT-OCT GCE results, you would automatically be declined.
4. You must make your O’ level results in one (1) sitting i.e. you are only allowed to present either you WAEC results or NECO results not older than 2years old.
After successful filling of the scholarship form online you would later be contact to Abuja for the INTERVIEW, your studying abroad on a scholarship is dependent on two (2) factors:

The scholarship usually comes up during April- July of every year of already admitted students in the tertiary institutions. it is not allowed or open to secondary school graduates neither is the scholarship for diploma students. This Agbami scholarship is B.Sc. oriented only.
HOW TO APPLY

1. Students, who have already gained admissions into any university in Nigeria, should submit their photocopy of Jamb’s admission later.
2. They are to submit their date of birth certificate / sworn affidavit from the magistrate court.
3. They should also submit to the scholarship board a statement of proof containing their state of origin and L.G.A ,because this scholarship is meant only for students in the oil producing states (Niger-Delta) region
4. You are also required to submit your 100L statement of result duly signed by your H.O.D.

1. Note: The exam/interview is to be taken at Agbami, Abraka Delta state and all candidates for the scholarship would be embossed after the exercise according to location of your institution i.e.
2. If you are coming from Anambra state – Unizik or Ansu your embossment fee is a minimum of N5,000, those coming from Calabar has a different embossment rate . What it simply means is that the organization- Agbami would pay the cost for transportation and accommodation fee.
3. While filling the application you would be expected to provide your account details for embossment.
4. Names of successful candidates would be published on the notice board of your department from your various institutions.
5. Agbami pays each successful scholar N200, 000.00 annually.
