Before you can improve your life and find a measure of happiness, you must learn to do one thing every day out of pure love. That means, don’t expect anything in return—neither thanks nor happiness. Pick that occasion carefully. Then, whatever that one act of giving of yourself to someone else is, do it with all your heart.

God is neither male or female. Likewise you as Soul created in the image and likeness of God are neither male nor female. You are only wearing a male or female body in order to experience life in the lower universes.
Once your education is complete you shed these bodies and go back to God in your pure form as Soul.

Which religion are you referring to? Christianity or Islam or Hindu?

I would suggest if you are really sincere to ask God directly.
Forget about whatever any religion is saying.
God speaks to us directly because we are It's children. Ask and you will find the answers you seek
