“HU is the sound behind all sounds, woven into the language of life.

“It is the wind in the leaves, falling of rain, thunder of jets, singing of birds, the awful rumble of a tornado. Its sound is heard in laughter, weeping, the din of city traffic, ocean waves, and the quiet rippling of a mountain stream.

“It is a word people anywhere can use to address the Originator of all life.”

If people would trust their heart and know
that if they love God and open their
heart—if they love God through loving
their neighbor—they would find that God
brings help, guidance, and protection to
them in ways that most others don’t know.

We don’t learn and grow if everything is always smooth and pretty and nice. Sometimes you have to get the other experiences in life. It’s necessary, like salt and pepper on your food. It adds spice to life.

We’re talking about recognizing God’s help in your life. This help is like little presents. But oftentimes we don’t think of them as presents.

A true spiritual healing first heals the spiritual condition that caused the symptom to appear in the physical body. But this does not belie the fact that sometimes the body simply wears out.

When we have fulfilled our mission here, it’s time to go on to another classroom, to another mansion in the other worlds.

Today someone said to another person, “You are so lovely.”

And the other person answered, “Because you are seeing yourself.”

And of course, it caught the first person by surprise. Generally we see in others what we are ourselves.

What we are aiming for is not to avoid the roller-coaster effect of life, but to gain the middle path. This means the path of moderation, the balanced outlook, the spiritual viewpoint that no matter what happens, the sorrows of life will not bury us forever. When loved ones leave in death, we cry—but not forever. We are able to face life knowing that they will still live on in full consciousness.

We know that the divine cause, the Divine Being, has put us here to learn something. It is up to us to go out into life and find out what it is.
