The purpose of this thread and the campaign against fraudulent clients is slowly been defeated. After all this is Nigeria ; everything goes. And, realizing that everybody here is literally a Cyber Ghost only makes the campaign more Futile.

The internet is a Jungle.

I will advice writers to stop writing for people they don't know in person.

And, NL moderators should also find ways of linking accounts here to Facebook accounts, so that NL'ders won't be Faceless.

Benscolari cannot cough out atleast the sum of N25,000 to settle three people! Wow! Someone that have been working for foreign Clients ; and these foreign clients sometimes give him tips of $100 ( something he personally told me).
I understand people like him, perfectly.

When I started the campaign against fraudsters ; some people probably had doubts I guess... But as time passed, things are getting clearer and clearer.

I want to thank everybody that took their precious time to comment, investigate, follow and made sacrificial efforts to bring Justice.

I want to personally thank @ LoJ ; who has never been to Nigeria, and wasn't compelled in anyway to see things through ; but stuck out his/her neck and in the process got verbally insulted several times. Thank you @LoJ.

I want to thank the creator of this Thread. He is very enthusiastic about this campaign to rid NL of fraudsters or at least reduce their activities.

@dominique... Thank you very much! You should be the Chief Justice of Nigeria. You are very smart and you have a gift for inferring the 'Truth'. You didn't relent throughout yesterday , and seeing you still commenting about the matter this morning, marveled me.

If Benscolari refuses to pay me... I forgive him.
All these emotional blackmail won't solve a thing. Why take on a job when your writing skills are terrible?
Anyways, I particularly asked you to message me on whatsapp, but your strong-headed self refused to. Don't include me in this matter again..
I AM NOT FRAUDULENT, OR ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT, AND REWARD GREAT WRITERS (I TIP THEM, WHEN THEY PERFORM ABOVE EXPECTATIONS).
DOMINIQUE, I'm done with this issue, as it seems the attempt to smear my name has been nullified by me.
Now send me a message on WhatsApp and stop whining.
Thank you all

So you admit that he worked for you yet you didn't pay him in full. Is this why you keep hiring and discarding writers?
I did pay him...
And I DON'T discard writers..
I have tons and tons and tons of work, and I can't handle all.
All my writers are Intact.. I was even thinking of creating a group for all my writes, so I just drop a project there, and anyone who sees it and is up to the task, execute the project...
I paid him a part of the money. Something, I never do, until the client replies... And reviews. But I felt he was a good writer, and needed to have an Amount paid.
Check the screenshot... I'm tired of this back and forth madam.

Oh yes you do. I wrote a 6250-word ebook for you and you said the client mentioned that it wasn’t what he was looking for despite not giving me an outline. You said the client needed something more specific. You were meant to pay N9,375 for it but you ended up paying a paltry N3,000. I blocked you immediately because I couldn’t deal with your sheer stupidity.
Wait.... I don't get this...
You did a job that didn't meet a client specification, I still paid you a sum, despite the client not accepting the work, and you call me stupid?

What are you referring to as mediocrity?

I know you lack manners but I won't waste my time trying to put you right. You were so happy with the book I wrote and so was your so-called client. So where is the place of mediocrity in the work I did for you? What a man! You are so uncultured and mannerless. You refer to people with whatever term you choose once you have their money.
again, I never called you mediocre. You're a BADASS writer, agreed.
But you should know how the freelance world goes.
If it was that easy, why don't you register on freelancing platforms and get jobs, and do yourself...

Now this is funny... Main agreement? Mehn, this is tiring...
How long do I keep compensating mediocrity...
Dominique, I'll settle this folks next week.
At anytime of my jurisdiction, so this matter is put off once and for all.
NB/I'm NOT paying any full amount...

Benscolari came chatting me for a job, an e-book precisely.

The word-count is 6,250.

We settled for N3/word, which amounts to 18,750 for 6,250 words.

He said that once I deliver the job, he would review it and pay me. Please refer to the attached picture for the evidence.

On the 17th of February, which is about a month now, I delivered the job to him.

Just then, he started telling me about his client that disappeard, saying that he would only pay when the disappeard client reappears and releasees his funds.

He sent me N6,500 some days later, and that was after much pressure from my part.

I tried to remind him that my agreement with him was not N6,500 but N18,750. He said he would pay up when his client approves his funds.

Suddenly, a third party became a factor.

We never factored any client in my agreement with him. He is the client I know.

I was asking about his choice to make getting my money dependent on the wayabout of someone we never considered in our bargain? But up till this moment, he has not provided answets to this question.

My money with him is still N12,250 and it is almost a month since I did his work.

PS I'm finding it difficult to attach the picture of my chat with him where he assured me of payment after reviewing the work. I don't know if it is network or something.

I don't really have the leeway to dabble words.
Pictures will do the talking...
Dominique, this clearly contradicts whatever this man is saying.
I remember telling him he'll get his money as soon as my client gives me feedback. Which my client has never done to this day, and he agreed. So I should go ahead and pay him without hearing from my client or anything?
Nigerians!
Thank you

oh, so you're not only disillusioned, you're a pathetic liar.
Dominique, I won't dabble with this again, but for the last time....
After he submitted his jargons, I got tired of the whole thing, and edited everything myself, and sent to him. He even admitted I gave the book an American tone....
Now he's using the edited work I did as his original work.
Look here mister, don't irk me.
You're such a cheap and pathetic person, and I won't dabble words with you again..
Dominique, check screenshot. That's when I sent him the edited work to see how bad his writing was, and him admitting that it looked better. Now he carries the work I edited and poses as his, while his original work was an eyesore...
Pathetic...

Well said. He gets works from foreign clients and hires writers here for peanuts. Now to even pay a fraction of the peanuts is problem for him. Talk about a greedy and insincere person.

He's operating with a foreign upwork account, who knows how he came about the account. He collects jobs as a writer which he isn't, then sub-contracts the work. I doubt if he fills in his clients about this.

How can one person hire more than 30 different people to execute one type of project within a short period of time? It just doesn't make any sense, there has to be a reason why he doesn't call them back and go on to hire someone else. Either the issue is with them or with him, I'm suspecting the latter here.

@Benscolari. Even if a person you hire falls short of your expectations, you should have at least compensated him for his efforts. If you're the one that expended all that time and energy in getting a work done and the person that hires you (who'll be pocketing a greater percentage of the cash generated) refuses to pay you a dime, how will you feel?

It doesn't matter if your clients paid or not, you have been making thousands of dollars off foreign clients. So why is a paltry 5-10k too much for you to give someone that worked for you. If you had done that, this mess would have been averted.
thanks for your input. Now, I'll over look the part where you called me greedy and insincere.
I am a writer. A good one (not blowing my trumpets, but I'm good at what I do). Now how do I satisfy all clients that bring tons and tons of jobs for me?, and at the same time too. I outsource to writers here. Which I've been doing since last year. Every freelancer does this, so I wonder why I'm being picked out
At the bolded, as if doing a crapy job wasn't bad enough, he went ahead to throw tantrums, insulting me and CURSING me. So I should have swallowed all that and sent him money? HOW?
Anyways, to clear my name completely, I'll pay him a part of the money, and will not want to have anything to do with him again. At all.
Thank you

Dont leave him to God. God has no moniker on nairaland.

There are many ways you can fight back. There are scammer lists here on nairaland. Locate one of these and post his details there plus a short explanation.

You include his nairaland moniker(s) , name if you know, whatsapp number email upwork handle bank account and all other details you may have.

This will help others not to fall in the same trap, and at the same time leave a permanent trace on the internet. Some day it will play against him. If the other one had done that you could have possibly avoided wasting your time.
imagine the nonsense...
He should paste my name on the scammer list that I stole from him. This is the first time I'll be rude to you. Don't push it. Can you even imagine the nonsense... Do you know I am an ecurrency trader too? So how come I haven't swindled fellow exchangers too?

This will be my last post on the topic. I don't know either of you, and I have never been to Nigeria all my life. When I judged the quality of his work you thought I was objective now I am biased!

Anyway, in business you win some and lose some. Reputation is everything in business and more than money. Your refusal to pay a ridiculous 15k or even negotiate to 10k shows that you are the exploitative type. When the writings are accepted and you make huge profits for works you do not do at all, you are happy.

NOW is the time to bear a loss. A great businessman would have pleaded with the guy to accept even 5k due to the circumstances and not the mumbo jumbo you are uttering. You don't understand business at all, and someday you may eventually learn the hard way.

This desire to always exploit others, all the wins for you and the losses to others is the typical Nigerian mentality you claim to disapprove.
oh, you don't even get me, Loj. You don't...
At a point, He threw all manner of insults at me, and still expect me to pay him...
See, there's a guy that did a shabby job, he knew. But he told me to send him anything, and because of his mabnee6of approach, I sent him half the project money, even if I lost it.
Check screenshot of this giftedmind guy boasting...
Again, check where he admitted to the book being a mess

As far as I am concerned, I don't have any case... So since last year I started posting job openings here, I've not heard my name been called out for an outright scam (where a writer wrote, and I absconded). This is really damaging, and I deserve an apology at the least

Dominique, Let any writer who has worked for me come out to claim I didn't pay, then we'll have a case, but all these posts about me doesn't hold water. AT ALL!

Literature/Writing Ads / Re: Beware Of Benscolari - He Is Fraudulent by Benscolari: 1:50pm On Mar 16, 2019
LoJ:

You are a victim of your own lack of diligence. From your Screenshot there is no complain about quality or errors. Only a specific part which is to be reformulated. Then again you don snap the date nor the context.

Secondly, you have 30+ writers and you are given an important project. You went and took a newbie for the project, meanwhile 30+ experienced writers are working with you according to you. You could not contact them to ensure quality.

A sample was given to you yo judge. You were okay with it except a few lines that were to be reformulated (according to your own Screenshot). You told him to continue.

Not to mention that you are highly paid for the work and give peanuts to he that does the real work. Now you want to pass your misjudgment unto your contractor. You are the one guilty here.

oh please, now you're HIGHLY BIASED. Your post reeks of undiluted bias, sorry to say.
Victim of my own negligence? Indeed.... So I pointed out corrections, which were not made, and then my client ended the contract, then I should be blamed
Really?
Literature/Writing Ads / Re: Beware Of Benscolari - He Is Fraudulent by Benscolari: 1:35pm On Mar 16, 2019
LoJ:

In a nutshell what you are saying is

He sent you a sample and you approved (hoping he will make no more mistakes).

Then you are victim of your own negligence. The guy sent you a sample and you validated and told him To continue. You are clearly at fault here.

When we additionally consider that you are actually outsourcing work that should be done by you, without disclosing the full details to your contractors,

It follows that you are at fault, in my reasonable opinion.

Cc. Dominique
what is all these nonsense?
I hire a writer, he sent me a short text, I scanned through and immediately told him to make corrections.. Which he agreed to. Check attached file...
He later sent a pile of jargons, and I am to happily accept it, and pay him, noting that my client cancelled the entire project...
Plausible!
Now at the bolded, this is really funny.
Freelancers every where in the world, including every nairalander does it. So how's this a crime?
And again, your reasonable opinion is highly unreasonable..
Reread it again, and see if it makes sense
