The good thing is my madam is not really a pro-African Magic fan like that. She's okay with watching one or two trending naija movies on Netflix, Youtube or Prime. So I No really get anything wey go make me reason those African Magic and other stations exclusive to DSTV.

Once I get to watch my football matches, watch Netflix , Prime and have access to movies on other streaming networks, I am good to go. Other than that, the TV is useless! Social media sef dey sweet pass TV these days.

That our guy helped me get the attached fire stick for 48k at Alaba. The experience has not been bad at all, tho I intend to explore it fully over the weekend ( I only used it to watch champions league on Wednesday & Thursday because I get home lat in the evening due to work, so I've not been able to really explore it much).

Our guy already helped me drop some Streaming Apps on it, so I've not really had reason to download other Apps for now. Hopefully when I do , my experience will be pleasant. I will definitely shoot you mail for list of streaming Apps you can recommend that will make the viewing experience a pleasant one.

OK. I have seen the fire stick. It is not the original Amazon firestick but it will serve you perfectly. The original Amazon firestick costs over 130k with the current dollar rate.

You don't need to get another firestick. This one will do the work.

Those ones our guy gave you, he gave me to me too and it was the ones I wanted to suggested for you. Though I have one two others ones which are for movies strictly. But those ones are enough. It'll will give you everything you need except for African Magic channels which one app I have gives but who cares for those channels kwanu?

Results from the little research I've done conforms with this position; Android TV box/stick seems to be the only reasonable way around it.

I laughed so hard seeing your posts while catching up on these pages coz I was in this state of frustration a month ago when our "way" was shut down which made me subscribe my DStv. 😅🤣

I enjoyed it while it lasted and have moved on to this path you're embarking on. As someone that has already taken one for the team, I'll give you few pointers so you don't make the mistake I made, thereby making it very much easier for you.

1. If you're looking to use free streaming or various streaming apps that are not recognized brands or global brands like Netflix, Paramount+, Amazon, HboMax etc., where you can stream all kinds of football stations, TV stations, music news, the whole 9 yards, don't go for Amazon firestick. Avoid it like plague.

Don't get me wrong, it's very, very good, has classy interface and control, but just like iOS or WebOS, in the long run, it'll block 3rd party unofficial streaming apps where you don't have to pay a dime to enjoy and you need to bypass it to install Google Playstore. But if you're looking for to use strictly the likes of Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime, then you can go for it. Quiet pricey too but very fuckị̀ng dope.

2. The 3 best Android TVs that my research have led me to which I'd tell you to go for are:

- Amazon firestick
- Xiaomi firestick or Xiaomi TV box
- Roku

These 3 aforementioned are the best. Don't go for any other one unless you want to see shege promax.

Amongst those 3, if you're looking for Android TV that would allow you install 3rd party apps without you having to root it or one that wouldn't block your 3rd party apps in the long run, chose Xiaomi or Roku, but I'd advise you to go for Xiaomi. They are simply amazing and their latest models (2nd Gen) are dọ̀pe, mad visuals, smooth interface, and they are partnering officially with Google giving more options to work with. In short, they'd give you regular updates just like your phones. And the best of it all, you can install any freaking app you want. When it's time to install those 3rd party apps, you'd just give permission to install 3rd party apps just like your Android phones and you're good to go.

3. Fakes yakpa. This is the most important update. To tell you the level that pirates have gone ahead to clone these aforementioned Android TVs, I refused going to Ikeja or Alaba to get my Xiaomi firestick after a friend of mine told me about the 3 fake ones he got before finally buying it outside Nigeria and getting the original one.

I made use of my connect to get it from Dubai. I didn't do my due diligence coz I mean it was from Dubai, so they don't sell fake there. Wrong!! When the Xiaomi came in, the package, the design, in short everything about it was done exactly as the original down to the last details. There was hardly any way to know it wasnt the original. So happily, I set it up and was happy I've gotten what I wanted till my friend came around and told me it was fake and proved it to me when Xiaomi and Google Playstore didn't "certify" it.

I was devastated. Mind you, everything was running smoothly. Any app you want to install will install on it 100%. The pirates that made that fake one deserve a national recognition coz it was 100% the same physically as the original. I didn't need to discontinue using it as it will give me the same thing the original will give me but when I pay for premium, I expect a premium product. If I'm buying original, I expect it to be original. So, armed with the new info I had, I now told my Dubai connect to get me the original one from Dubai and this time around, the difference is clear.

I'm flexing it now and I have been wondering why I was in the dark for years concerning Android TV. Anything and everything is there. You go watch sotey you go tire. Best thing that has happened to TV.

4. I'll be dropping links in my next post to help you know the right Xiaomi firestick or box to get. With this video, you'll know how to find out if you've gotten the original after setting it up. In short, before you unseal it (after removing the seal, your seller won't agree to take it back and it might be a waste unless you find a buyer) and set it up, there are pointers that would show you it's original so you don't make the mistake I made.

5. After getting the original one and setting it up, if you don't have the right and sweet streaming apps to stream all kinds of movies, news, series, sports that you want for free, you have my email, shoot me a mail and let me drop the links for you. I'd have dropped it here but it is a waste of time as Spermbot would come for me.
