1 Thessalonians 4:16 (NKJV):
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

They're reading that wrong if they think it is Jesus' voice (or Jesus blowing a trumpet for that matter) on the Last Day.

They can also mis-read Matthew 24:31 too, if they don't discern properly.

Matthew 24:31 (NKJV): And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

On the Last Day, Christ is coming back with the "armies of Heaven" (Revelation 19:14), meaning ALL the Holy Angels (Matthew 25:31), which also includes high-ranking Archangels (like Michael, see Jude 9).

Now, let's ask: Who blows the trumpet when going into war - the King or His servants ? Obviously, the servants do.

So the "last trumpet" (1 Cor 15:52) on the day when Jesus Returns will be sounded by one of Jesus' servants who are with Him, that is, an Angel.

Therefore, we can also see that the "voice of an archangel" from 1 Thessalonians 4:16 isn't Jesus' own voice, but that of an Archangel who is with Him.

The shouting, the trumpet, and the voice of an Archangel will only be accompanying Jesus as He comes back.

If one reads the top two Verses again with this in mind, they will see it.

In fact, no one should attempt to "lower" Jesus to being an Angel or Archangel.

Besides Hebrews 1, and even BK's post above, we should ask - Who created the Angels ?

John 1:3 (NKJV): 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

God and Jesus created Angels.

That's why Hebrews 1 reminds us that even the Angels worship Jesus, in addition to God.

In my mind, it would actually be blasphemous to insist that Jesus Christ is Michael the Archangel.
