Just wondering why you could not express your own understanding of equality as it relate to 3 different persons in one Godhead.

They were saved by accepting the forgiveness of sin based on the sacrifices offered by the high priest for atonement of sin of the whole people who accept the forgiveness of their sins and consecrate themselves.
The above is based of the ordinance of the Old Testament.
There was no need for the people of old to be born again; all they needed was to continually seek God, accept the forgiveness and observe to obey the law.

As for David, in which there was the order of High Priest to regularly sacrifice blood of goat to atone for the sin of the people of Israel in which David was one.
