Good start...
Your next story would definitely be better and may define what you are capable of with the bic or keyboard..

This is really a beautiful story... give it to a certain TiffanyJ..and she would make twist here and there ,then adjust few scenes here and there that would literally sweep the audience off their feet...

You have not gotten it right yet but you are close, I have every confidence, judging by your progress so far that you will definitely get it right soon and what a well written story it would be.

...And when you do...
I picture you looking back proudly and savouring the euphoria!

Today I celebrate your entrance...
May the literacy world both writers and readers also celebrate you too as you grow strength to strength!

Thank you sir!

WHY SHOULD I MARY YOU

By Wahab Musiliu Olamide

Once there was a very handsome, pious, well educated young man, whose parents emphasized for him to get married.
They had seen so many marriage proposals, and he had turned them all down. The parents thought it was becoming a little ridiculous and suspected that he may have someone else in mind.
However every time the parents left the girls house, the young man would always say ‘she’s not the one!

The young man only wanted a girl who was religious and practicing, however one evening his mother arranged for him, to meet a girl, who was religious, and practicing, On that evening, the young man, and girl, were left to talk, and ask each other questions. (As one would expect).

The young man, being a gentleman that he was allowed, the lady to ask first.
The young girl asked the young man so many questions, she asked about his life, his education, his friends, his family, his habits, his hobbies, his lifestyle, his enjoyment, his pastime, his experiences, his shoe size.

The young man replied to all of her questions, without tiring, and politely, with a smile the young girl took up nearly all of the time, over an hour, and felt bad, and asked the young man do you have any questions?

The young man said, it’s ok. I only have 3 questions… The young girl thought, Wow, ONLY 3 questions okay, shoot.

The young man’s 1st question was,

Question 1: Who do you love the most in the world, someone who’s love nothing would ever overcome?

Answer 1: She said, this is an easy question; my mother, he smiled.

Question 2: He asked, you said that you read a lot of Qur’an, could you tell me which Surahs you know the meaning of?

Answer 2: Hearing this she went red and embarrassed and said, I do not know the meaning of any yet, but I am hoping to soon In Sha Allah, I’ve just been a bit busy.

Question 3: The 3rd question the young man asked, was I have been approached for my hand in marriage, by girls that are a lot more prettier than you Why should I marry you?

Answer 3: Hearing this the young girl was outraged, she stormed off to her parents with fury, and said I do not want to marry this man he is insulting my beauty, and intelligence. And the young man and his parents, were once again, left without an agreement of marriage.

This time, the young mans parents were really angry, and said what did you do to anger that girl, the family were so nice, and pleasant, and they were religious like you wanted. What did you ask the girl? Tell us!

The young man said, firstly I asked her, who do you love the most? she said, her mother, The parents said so, what is wrong with that?
The young man said, ‘no one, is Muslim, until he loves Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala), and his messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) more than anyone else in the world’ If a woman loves Allah and the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) more than anyone, she will love me and respect me, and stay faithful to me, because of that love, and fear for Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) and we can share this love, because this love is greater than lust for beauty.

The young man said, then I asked, you read a lot of Qur’an, can you tell me the meaning of any surah? And she said no, because I haven’t had time yet. So I thought of that Hadith ‘ALL humans, are dead except for those who have knowledge’ She has lived 20 years and not found ANY time, to seek knowledge, why would I marry a woman, who does not know her rights, and responsibilities, and what will she teach my children, except how to be negligent, because the woman IS the Madrasa (School) and the best of teachers. And a woman who has no time for Allah, will not have time for her husband.
The third question I asked her was, that a lot of girls, more prettier than her, had approached me for marriage, why should I choose you? That is why she stormed off, getting angry.
The young man’s parents said that is a horrible thing to say, why would you do such a thing, we are going back there to apologies.
The young man said I said this on purpose, to test whether she could control her anger. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) said ‘do not get angry, do not get angry, do not get angry’ when asked how to become pious; because anger is from Satan.

So If a woman cannot control her anger with a stranger she has just met, do you think she will be able to control it with her husband?
So, the moral of this story is, a marriage is based on:
Knowledge, not ONLY Out Looking (Beauty)!
Practice, not preaching/recite only (million of reciter are there), Forgiveness, not Anger, Spiritual love, not Lust and Compromise One should look for a person who

1) Has love for Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) and the messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam).
2) Has knowledge of the Deen (Islam), and can act upon it.
3) can control their anger.
4) and willing to compromise.

And it goes both ways, so women seeking a man, should look for the same things.
Aisha’h (Radiallahu Anhu) reports “one day I was on a camel which was somewhat difficult to control and the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) remarked “you must be compassionate, whenever there is compassion in something it adorns it, and when it is removed from something it disgraces it”.
(Reported by Imam Bukhari (al-adab al-mufrad)

May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) Keep Guiding Us All Always To The Straight Path And May He Grant Us A Sincere Righteous Partners Who Will Be The Coolness Of Our Eyes And Who Will Be The Means Of Entering Jannah Together

Good Morning Y'all!

Forty Four

Forty Four

Chinedu Austin was really not a stranger. Though he was not there when it all started he had been brought up to date. He came into the story the day he hit Hadiza with his car. He actually thought he had killed someone.

Hadiza had lost consciousness before the brake could eventually work. It was when she regained consciousness at the hospital that Hadiza told her story and begged him to protect her. If she could be pronounced dead, no one would be able to harass her anymore.
She had become restless since she knew Jaye was free and Barnabas and his cohorts had been incarcerated. She knew she could move freely again with Barnabas and Ali behind bars but she didn’t want to move, she only wanted to see Jaye.

Her best shot at seeing him was if he called Austin and arranged a meeting since neither she nor Austin had an address or phone number. She waited every second, every day to hear from him.

So, when Austin finally brought words that Jaye was coming, she almost went mad for Joy. She washed her face every other minute for new makeup and changed cloths after cloths. She wanted to appear her best. She was in the middle of another cladding when the man she had been waiting for arrived. She forgot the entire appearance thing, and sprinted out into the arms of her sweetheart.

Everyone except Austin and Jaye were shocked to see Hadiza; Austin couldn’t be shocked. He knew the story. Jaye didn’t know any story, he just didn’t care if it was a ghost he had in his arms.
He had prayed fervently to be able to see her at least in dreams; he craved to see her- in any form. Now, there she was in his arms. It didn’t matter if she was a ghost.
When his head finally cleared and his mouth eventually gathered some strength, he made to ask what was really going on.

“But they said you are...” he was going to ask about her death but Hadiza made sure he couldn’t complete whatever he was going to say. She blocked his mouth by stealing his lips in a deep wet kiss.

“As you can see, I am very much alive. It’s a long story but now is not the time to tell it.” She whispered.

They ignored the fascinated onlookers and kissed passionately, as if they could make up for all the lost time on that spot. Time stopped. Everything else, everyone ceased to matter. It was all about them. Every other thing could be switched but not this moment.

THE STORY OF MY LIFE (A short motivational story)

We were three friends when I graduated from University of Lagos in 1998. Collins, Qadir and me, Sele.
They were the happening guys and I was the stale bookworm.

According to them, I belonged to the BC years. They won’t be seen with me if not because I was, according to them, their book man.

They had clubs and travels to handle so academics was a distraction but thankfully they had me to do their assignments and notes.

I won’t walk with them too but they my money men. I was as broke as shatter, I couldn’t call home for money. Mummy would tell me she had water for diner the other night and instead of collecting something I would end up giving her my sympathy.

I was Collins and Qadir’s book man and they were my money men.

I hated what I did for them and what my life looked like but the hope that things would be better after graduation kept me going, so I didn’t look back.

Poverty spited me so much that I couldn’t say Hi to Maria, the only girl my heart had sang from year one to final year.

I didn’t even have the money to take her to the cheapest eatery on campus, the Hoxofagus. It’s not like she would even follow me to that kind of place anyways, or so I thought.

I vested all my disappointment into making good grades so that I could get a better life.

Finally in 1998, we graduated and a new reality slapped me on my poverty thickened face.

Collins was over 30yrs, so he filed for exemption and started a bank job in Ibadan almost immediately.

Qadir, served in NTA Ibadan and was retained after his service.

I served in a secondary school in Oro, Kwara state. After my service I rushed to Lagos for a job that was not waiting for me.

After three months, I had exhausted my hard saved NYSC income and transport and feeding.

In August 1999, I returned to Ibadan unsure of what awaited me except for free accommodation and feeding.

After, one month in Ibadan, I realized free food and house comes with their own insults.

I knew I was a begger who had no choice, so I took in the discomfort and carried the gait of someone who enjoyed being ridiculed.

Just about the time when I was getting crazy from wallowing in the shameless difficulty, I stumbled upon a speech by Biade Fola, yes the same Fola who currently represents Osun west senatorial district.

Then he was council chairman, Ede North LG, he was addressing the Federal Poly, Ede SUG when they paid a courtesy visit to him.

So he said “Life is full of hassle and tussle. The struggles can either kill us or make us stronger. Whether the struggle kills us or make us stronger is not the decision of the struggle but ours. We should make a decision to succeed and never look back”

The words spoke directly to my poor heart and I instantly vowed to succeed and never look back until I did.

To ensure, I didn’t lack for food, I started teaching English in a secondary school in Apete, Ibadan. They paid me 18,000 monthly out of which I ate and bought cheap cloths.

In April 2001, I took a trip to the University of Ibadan in search of a mentor. I told the first student I spoke with (Kemi is still my friend till date) that I dreamt of becoming a great writer and needed a mentor.

she suggested and introduced me to professor Leo Coker. The professor took me in and did a wonderful job on me.

I was still doing my high school job while learning and attempting to write a masterpiece.

Many a times, I’d see and hide for Collins and Qadir. They frequented the UI staff club on weekends, the same time I met with the professor in the same place. I couldn’t face them and their designer wears and cruise rides in my cheap cloths and Legedez Benz.

The banking reforms of 2005 later affected Collins’ bank and he was laid off. He put his severance pay into poultry but sadly that year was the birds flu epidemic year. It affected him bad… but he was a big boy. He went on to own two car wash stations, one football viewing center and three betGoal shops. Qadir still worked for the NTA.

Overall, their situation was still better better than mine. They still wore cute cloths and drove a car.
But now, the professor had gotten into my head. Material things had ceased to matter. What mattered was where I was going. I had no reason to look back.

I thought I had my breakthrough in 2007 when a publishing house in Lagos- The Pub Merchants accepted my manuscript.

They were impressed with my work and printed it in November that year under the title- “Death of the Struggle, Your Win”. So much for my expectations, the book did not do so well.

On 20/05/2008, ten years after my graduation my breakthrough came. I met Miss Adediwura, an executive at Mrace Books.

She had read my work and felt it was a great effort. “It would have sold better had it an attention drawing title” she said.

That was how I hit it. Mrace and Pub Merchants worked out something and reproduced my work under a new title “The Little Dirty Big Cute Secret of Success” with a rider (Successful men won’t tell you, but this book will!)

After a little over four months, life changed for me. Fancy suits, Italian leathers, even the pen I signed autograph with is a limited edition of Wiston Kou.

Yes, guess who I saw at the public reading of my latest work? Maria Dene! My school crush. She’s a fan, she’s single. Don’t ask me want I’m gonna do with her*

That’s my story. Life hit me rough but I stood my ground, didn’t shake, didn’t look back until I get here.
Now the only reason I look back is to see how far I have come.

GOOD MORNING Y'ALL LEX GO IN SEARCH OF OUR HADIZA

FORTY THREE

Only Adams and Rihanat knew what they had said to each other and whatever it was that they had said, was indeed a good one because by the time Jaye finished cleaning up and joined them in the sitting room, they were too busy to notice him.

Their lips were locked and the hands were busy, caressing, handling and squeezing. Adams looked like a very hungry lion and Rihanat looked like she was really ready to be preyed upon.

Jaye had to notify them of his presence and most especially collect a thank you.

“Easy man, not that fast. You gotta pay your dues first, that’s my girlfriend you are kissing” he said feigning some serious seriousness.

As though he was really serious about his statement, he strode towards them carrying a straight face and sat in between them.

“You guys should at least say thanks before you move on” he said and followed with a laugh before standing up.

“You have to pause your romance later when I’m here, or do you expect me not to be jealous?” he asked, winking at Adams.

As if saying ‘you can be jealous but nothing or no one can come between me and my bae’, Adams drew his girlfriend nearer and tighter and gave a giggle.

“You would stop being jealous once we settle one babe for you.” He said with a laugh and Jaye threw a pillow at him.

“Take me serious when I say I’m not buying that kind of service from you ever again, the last babe you settled for me is now your girlfriend.” He joked.

Jaye intentionally decided to take the attention away from himself. He was tired of being treated like some mentally downed folk. To his own surprise though, he felt better and better since he pulled that one on Adams and Rihanat.

Now Rihanat had stopped biting herself, she could now hold a comfortable conversation with Jaye, she was no more unease around him and Adams talked more ruthlessly to Jaye just like the good old days.

Jaye felt kind of free from the atmosphere of need created by the whole experience. He didn’t want to appear needy to his friends.

“I need to leave this place but how do I tell David that” he asked himself and before he could provide himself with an answer David appeared, Mr Austin’s complementary card in one hand and money in the other. Bisi followed closely behind. He carried a very serious face. one would be forgiven to think a bad fight was imminent.

“Did you get paid to let Adams date Rihanat?” He asked with some funny hard tone.

Jaye was about to say no I didn’t when David curved a smile.

“Jokes on you bro” he patted Jaye on the shoulder and sat next to him.

“Let’s call this man and find out who he is once and for all” he said throwing the complementary card on the table in front of them.

Adams picked it up and dialled the numbers on it.

“Hello, am I on to Mr Chinedu Austin…? Ok, I am Adams, a friend of Jaye’s” he was saying to the person that picked the call but he decided to put the call on speakers to avoid having to do some reporting later. The phoned went loud and a voice came through.

Austin’s voice was the lowest Adams had ever heard, he talked as if he was afraid he could hurt someone’s ears with his voice. His pitch was the complete opposite of Adams.

“I have been expecting this call for a long time” Austin said.

Though, the call was on speaker, others could barely hear him audibly.

“Now the call has come and we want to know who you are” Adams replied. He had grown impatient already.

“By ‘we’, you mean Jaye too?” Austin asked. Excitement grew in his voice and he became slightly louder

“This is not supposed to be a phone conversation, let’s see and talk. You can come down here and I can come over there, whichever way you want it.” He suggested.

“Ok, I will get back to you on that” Adams hung up and spread his hands as if saying well here we are should we go or he should come? But his audience wanted more than spread hands.

“What did he say” David asked.

“What… you mean you guys didn’t hear him. He was on damn speakers guys” he asked with frustration. When he saw they were having none of his whining, he did the reporting he had so much tried to avoid.

“So what do we do? Go there or have him come here” he spread his hands again.

“we definitely don’t know him, we can’t bring him to where we stay house, for all I fear, he could be part of what is left of Barnabas’ men, they could staging a comeback. We should go to them” David said looking worried

“Maybe we should not have made that call.” He regretted.

“What if he is what you say he is, wouldn’t we be simply walking into the lion’s den by going to them we can just ignore him,” Adams countered.

“Ok, I say we take Zaccheus and Michael along, Cenz would probably identify him… he’s been in that world before and Michael, you know is a police man.” Jaye said and took the phone from Adams. He put a call through to Michael.

“I don’t think he is harmful” Bisi entered with a whole new perspective.

“Maybe all you are just being paranoid, I mean no one would blame you for that given your experience but this guy always checked on you when you were in…” she didn’t want to say jail. She just brushed past it.

“I mean he has shown how harmless he is.” She submitted.

Adams laughed rather sarcastically.

“Of course he is harmless. You are a woman, no one would blame you for trusting too easily,” he said and sat beside her.

“No one is saying you are wrong, even if you are. A woman is always allowed to be wrong, that is why we men are here. See all he did for our friend could be acting, could be trying to gain his trust” he said softly to Bisi. Well, it was a loud kind of soft talk.

He saw the spite on Bisi’s face and shook his head.

“You don’t get it, but I hope one day you will.” He said and threw his head back, looking at the ceiling fan running above him.

Bisi never liked this kind of guys. Guys who think they were superior to women but indeed carry around a chicken’s brain.

“You want to be told how wrong you have been? Well, you see yourself as a man, yet you have done more wrong than right in your life. You can never make up for the bad things you have done, no matter how hard you try.” Bisi fired.

“Come on you two don’t be stupid” Jaye said and stood up in frustration.

“You guys suck. You all have made mistakes, I have too. But I’m not ready to dwell in the past. You should learn from your silly mistakes and grow up. We have come here to make me come alive, yet you keep acting silly, always attempting to plunge me back into the dead. If not for my own will to survive, you would not have helped a bit. I could say, I would survive on my own but you all are still my friends. I know you and you know me. No matter how stupid you all are, I’d still prefer you. Yes we are all different in our own ways but those differences should not be abused, we should learn from and make the most use of them, most of the things that happened could have been avoided, had we not chose to play God; instead of sharing our dreams and fears, we played around and tried to fix each other’s lives even without the consent of the owner of the life himself. Going forward, that has to stop. We need to act as a team, be transparent and committed. We have come a long way; we have endured the strongest of challenges, now we can’t afford to fall like a pack of cards. It’s too late for that.” Jaye said and sighed.

Absolute silence reigned as he finally arrived. Everyone including Jaye had their sorry faces on. Mouths grew heavy and no one would speak first. David was sure if anyone would say something to all Jaye had said, he had to make a lot of sense.

Apparently, no one was willing to take on that challenge. Jaye however, motioned them to come to him. They hugged in group and remained there until they heard claps behind them. The claps thankfully rescued them from the awkward silence.

Michael and Zaccheus had entered when Jaye was midway through his speech, and everyone had been so engrossed that they didn’t notice their presence.

“Ok, that’s not bad for a family” Michael said taking a spot on the chair.

His butt barely hit the cushion when Jaye pulled him back up.

“No need for that” he pointed at the seat, “we have a date to honour.” He informed him.

Zaccheus was not so moved by the speech thing, he was only interested in the speechmaker.

“This is a miracle, isn’t it?” he asked himself. He was surprised by the transformation that had happened to Jaye. He had suddenly became clean, handsome and clearheaded. Wow!

The friends dusted up their sorry faces and they all headed for Austin’s house.

This was a long ride, it's worth it..
Well... Adams has done so many bad things but am glad he has atoned for them...
I am also glad that Hate is back to himself...
I believe Mr Austin knows the whereabout of Hadiza.. He must have seen her unconscious at the point where she was dumped by the guy who hit her...
And not forgetting the fact that nemesis caught up with the Barnabas'..
Bravo BiadeFolar..
#BringBackHadiza

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate.
As it stands now... Even me supports the #BringBackHadiza tag, as in me am single and searching and if she's still alive maybe I could convince her to dump the ex convict for me.. I'm just saying O...
