You may not have heard of Reinhard Bonnke, but he’s one of the most effective evangelists in Africa. His story is one of overcoming obstacles and trusting in God’s plan for his life. Born in Germany in 1940, Bonnke had a passion for preaching from a young age. He surrendered his life to God at age 9. However, due to his passion for spreading the gospel of salvation across continents, he traveled to Nigeria in 1967. For the next 30 years, Bonnke traveled around Africa, spreading the gospel and raising an end-time army for Christ. Actually, it’s very limiting to attribute the Holy Spirit to a dove and a being that can appear and disappear anytime. The Holy Spirit can do greater things than we know and will ever know. But ultimately, we can’t put Him into a box. He is mysterious and enigmatic, and we can only come to understand Him better as we spend time with Him.
