Foreign Affairs / China's President Xi Jinping Arrives In Moscow by BidenDConquerer: 11:26am On Mar 20, 2023 |
The Chinese leader’s visit comes at a time when bilateral relations are at an all-time high, according to Russian officials. Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on Monday for a three-day state visit to meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. During the summit, the two sides will discuss strategic cooperation in the energy and military spheres, as well as the Ukraine conflict. Xi landed at Vnukovo airport. Later in the day, he is scheduled to have an informal dinner with Putin, which will focus on the “utmost important, key and sensitive issues that relate to the countries’ relations,” according to Putin’s aide, Yury Ushakov. The main round of talks, however, will take place on Tuesday, with the Chinese leader also expected to meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Later, the Russian and Chinese delegations will hold negotiations in an expanded format. In total, Moscow and Beijing are set to sign a dozen documents outlining bilateral cooperation, including two major joint statements. Russian officials previously said that the historic visit, which comes at a time when relations between Moscow and Beijing are at an all-time high, should give new impetus to bilateral ties. At the same time, Moscow expects the summit to be business-like and “unburdened by any additional ceremonial things.” The Ukraine conflict is expected to loom large on the agenda. China has not condemned Moscow’s military operation in the neighboring country nor taken part in the Western sanctions, while repeatedly calling for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that after Xi’s visit to Russia, he plans to speak with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in a bid to play a more prominent role in mediating an end to the conflict. Trials for war crimes committed in WW2 commenced after the war was concluded and it was the victorious side that trialed the losers. The ICC is a Western birth child of the New World Order founded after WW2 and it dances to the tune of it's Western pipers. It became redundant after the demise of the afore mentioned world order. How many warrants of arrest for war crimes were issued for the US leadership that orchestrated the invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria etc? This bias right here is an evidence of Russophobia (a branch of Nazism) by the West. It makes me gravitate (more than ever) towards Russia because I keep finding evidence of Russia's claims in the desperate actions of the West. 1 Like |

PREV Thread: How The ICC Warrant Successfully Isolates Russia? https://www.nairaland.com/7616094/how-icc-warrant-successfully-isolates The order cannot be executed and highlights the deficiencies of the International Criminal Court, the ex-Russian president said. The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin is a sign of the collapse of the system of international law, Former President Dmitry Medvedev has said. Medvedev dismissed the judicial body as “s**tty and wanted by nobody,” citing its poor record of holding high-profile suspects accountable. Even former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who has been wanted by the court since 2005, “spits on the charges, and despite a military coup at home [in 2019], remains unavailable,” (more on this later) the former president, who currently serves as deputy chair of the Russian Security Council(do you know why this is bolded?) , said in a social media post on Monday. The biggest demonstration of the ICC’s impotence was its failed attempt to investigate war crimes committed by US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, he stated. Washington derailed the court’s probe. John Bolton, the national security adviser under then-President Donald Trump, mused at the time that “for all intents and purposes, the ICC is already dead,” so Washington will allow it to “die on its own.” Last week’s decision by the ICC’s Pre-Trial Chamber to go after the leader of another nuclear power that likewise refused to recognize its jurisdiction is obviously just for show, Medvedev said, adding that this will only serve to eradicate whatever trust in international institutions remains. Even before the ICC issued its arrest warrant for Putin, international law was undermined by the court’s pro-Western bias, which infringes on the sovereignty of non-Western states, the former president noted. Nations ignore rulings that they perceive as inherently unjust and prefer to make direct agreements between each other, while “stupid decisions of the UN and other structures come apart at the seams.” Medvedev added that one could “imagine a situation” in which the building of the ICC in The Hague could be struck by a Russian hypersonic missile. “This court is just a puny international organization, not a NATO nation’s people. They would not dare to start a war over it. No one would even be sorry about it.” https://www.rt.com/russia/573260-medvedev-icc-arrest-warrant/ 1 Like

Foreign Affairs / Former Taiwanese President Plans Historic Trip by BidenDConquerer: 12:26am On Mar 20, 2023 |
Ma Ying-jeou will pay a visit to China this month amid increased tensions with Beijing, his office has reportedly confirmed. Ma Ying-jeou, the former Taiwanese president who made history by meeting with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in 2015, reportedly plans to break new diplomatic ground again by making an unprecedented trip to the mainland later this month. Ma will travel to China from March 27 to April 7 and visit the cities of Nanjing, Wuhan, Changsha, Chongqing and Shanghai, his office confirmed to Reuters on Sunday. His representatives didn’t disclose whether he intends to meet with Xi or any other Chinese government officials during the trip. The visit will mark the first trip to the mainland by a current or former Taiwanese leader since Chiang Kai-shek’s supporters fled to the island in 1949. Chiang held his last meeting with Mao Zedong, leader of the Chinese communist revolution, in 1945. Then-President Ma and Xi held their historic 2015 summit in Singapore, seeking to ease tensions and boost cooperation. Since Ma’s successor, Tsai Ing-wen, took office in 2016, relations between the self-governing island and Beijing have deteriorated. China, which considers Taiwan to be a breakaway province and still part of its sovereign territory, has vowed to reunify with the island. The US government recognizes, but doesn’t endorse, China’s claim to Taiwan under the so-called ‘One China’ policy. However, tensions in the Taiwan Strait have escalated since last August, when then-US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi defied warnings from Beijing and went through with a planned visit to Taipei. China responded by ramping up military drills around Taiwan and cutting off military and climate ties with Washington. The Taiwanese Defense Ministry warned earlier this month of a possible “total blockade” of the Taiwan Strait by Chinese forces. Ma remains a senior member of Taiwan’s Kuomintang (KMT) opposition party. The KMT has traditionally opposed pushes for full Taiwanese independence and has sought peaceful relations with China. KMT deputy chairman Andrew Hsia visited Beijing last month and met with Wang Huning, a senior Chinese Communist Party leader. Tsai’s ruling Democratic Progressive Party, which has accused the KMT of seeking to sell out Taiwan, condemned Hsia for going to “pay court to the communists.” The current president also blocked Ma’s planned trip to Hong Kong in 2016, citing security concerns, and he was forced to give his speech on cross-strait relations via teleconference. Ma will visit sites connected to World War II and the 1911 revolution that ousted the last Chinese emperor and launched the Republic of China, his office said. https://www.rt.com/news/573251-taiwan-ex-president-to-visit-china/

Foreign Affairs / War Criminal Biden Celebrates US Invasion Of Iraq Anniversary by BidenDConquerer: 4:50pm On Mar 19, 2023 |
Joe Biden led the charge to push the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, according to Scott Ritter, who served as the United Nations chief weapons inspector in the country from 1991 to 1998. In the lead up to the war, then-Senator Biden used his position as chair of the influential Senate Foreign Relations Committee to help sell the George W. Bush Administration’s plans to a skeptical American public. He gave speeches and organized Senate hearings that promoted the administration’s false claims about Saddam Hussein’s WMD program. In October 2002, Biden spearheaded a joint resolution that gave Bush sweeping powers to use military force against Iraq. “Joe Biden is one of the main reasons why the United States went to war in Iraq. He likes to pretend that he didn't play such an important role, but I'll say it now and I'll say it forever: Joe Biden's a liar.” he said. “Joe Biden's a man who allowed thousands of Americans to be sacrificed for his pride, for his arrogance, for his narcissism, because he knew that one day he was going to be President of the United States.” According to Ritter, Biden brushed moral and geopolitical concerns about invading Iraq aside because he did not want to face accusations that he was taking a “pro-Saddam” stance. Biden’s failure to speak out against the war, he added, helped result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, tens of millions displaced, and broader chaos in the Middle East. The conflict was not cost-free for the United States either, resulting in thousands of American troops dead and tens of thousands maimed. (not that I care about the pigs) Sputnik News spoke with Ritter ahead of the twentieth anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. Over the course of a 50-minute long video interview, the former UN inspector explained how the US government created a false pretext for the war, sought to intimidate dissidents into silence, and why Washington failed to learn anything from its costly debacle. Road to War In August 1990, Saddam Hussein invaded neighboring Kuwait over the oil-rich monarchy’s refusal to forgive Baghdad’s debts from the Iran-Iraq War. Less than six months later, in mid-January 1991, the United States and its allies launched a massive aerial bombing campaign followed by a land offensive to dislodge Iraqi forces from Ukraine( sorry I mean Kuwait). Ritter told Sputnik that the main reason why the George H.W. Bush administration decided to militarily intervene because it feared that control of Kuwait combined with Iraq’s existing oil wealth would provide Hussein with disproportionate influence over global oil markets. The problem with this rationale, however, was that few Americans viewed it as a compelling enough reason to go to send troops abroad. The most popular anti-war chant of the era was “No American blood for oil.” “We had to reshape this conflict by focusing not on the geopolitical reality, but on creating a cartoon-like enemy out of Saddam Hussein,” he said. “When Bush addressed a fundraising crowd in Dallas, he said that Saddam Hussein was the Middle East equivalent of Adolf Hitler, and that for his crimes against Kuwait, there would have to be a Nuremberg-like retribution. This was a decisive statement because now the United States was at war against evil.” Although Iraqi forces fully withdrew from Kuwait in February 1991, the American propaganda campaign against Hussein continued moving ahead at full speed. The new focus was on Baghdad’s alleged weapons of mass destruction program, which Washington claimed posed a danger to the United States and the Middle East at large. Although Iraq had indeed at one point sought to develop WMDs, there were two problems with this narrative, according to Ritter. The first was that even if Iraq possessed WMDs, they were not much of a threat since the US military had spent decades preparing to fight against potential adversaries who used chemical or biological weapons. Even more significantly, however, the US did not actually want to disarm Iraq. “We UN inspectors were going into Iraq thinking that we had a job from the highest legal authority in the world to disarm Iraq, but then as we're doing this job, we have [US] Secretary of State James Baker saying in public that even if Iraq complies with its obligation to disarm, sanctions will never be lifted until Saddam Hussein is removed from power,” he said. Ritter explained that US policymakers pushed the WMD narrative because they were embarrassed about Hussein’s continued political survival despite sweeping sanctions against Iraq. They needed a pretext to keep the pressure up on Baghdad and push for regime change. After all, how could they allow a man that they had openly compared to Hitler remain in power? “We [inspectors] were just there as a placeholder to create a political situation that allowed the continuation of sanctions,” he said. “It was never about disarmament, always about getting rid of Saddam Hussein. The problem is, after six months, Saddam was still there. Now, what do you do? What's the next step?” Ritter revealed that although there were back-channel communications between the transition teams of President-elect Bill Clinton and Baghdad about resuming relations, these negotiations were cut off after US intelligence agencies faked an Iraqi assassination attempt on George HW Bush, who had just left the White House, during a visit to Kuwait in April 1993. Clinton retaliated by firing missiles at Iraq and maintaining the sanctions regime against the country. In 1998, he signed the “Iraq Liberation Act,” which stated regime change was the official objective of US policy in Iraq. Silencing Dissent Despite this political background, Ritter’s team of UN inspectors worked to avert war by dismantling Iraq’s remaining WMDs. “We accounted for 95-97 percent of their weapons of mass destruction,” he said. “We were monitoring the totality of their industrial infrastructure so they couldn't rebuild these weapons. Anything that wasn’t unaccounted for would have aged out, same goes for precursor chemicals.” Yet the US government constantly tried to move the goal posts for the inspectors, demanding that they prove with 100 percent certainty that Iraq had no WMDs (an objective that was effectively impossible to achieve). Ritter sought to raise his concerns with senior US officials, including the director of the CIA, but was repeatedly brushed aside. Things took a decided turn for the worse in 1996, when the FBI began harassing Ritter and his family, even threatening him with arrest. This persecution only intensified after Ritter resigned from his UN inspector role in 1998. On the very same day as his resignation, the FBI leaked a false allegation to CBS Evening News that Ritter had been passing on state secrets to Israel. In reality, Ritter had been engaged in an intelligence liaison activity that was approved by none other than the CIA itself. Although the accusations against Ritter were obviously false, the CBS News report led to the Southern District of New York opening a three-year long investigation into him. “So here I was, an American citizen trying to do the right thing and the FBI was investigating me for falsified crimes that carried the death penalty. That investigation went on for three years. I ended up winning and they dropped the charges, but I couldn't get employment during that time,” he said. “Every opportunity that was provided to me was shut down because the FBI said, ‘He's a spy, he's a criminal, You can't do business with him.’ That's what the FBI, the U.S. government does to people who have the audacity to try and speak truth to power.” Lessons Learned? Twenty years after the Iraq Invasion, Ritter sees little evidence that the American foreign policy establishment has learned from its mistakes. He explained that US policymakers have absolutely no incentive to embrace realism and restraint since most of the major political donors support military interventionism abroad. This problem is compounded by the fact that there is no meaningful anti-war movement in America. Criticism of US foreign policy is usually driven not by principle, but by opportunistic party politics. However, Ritter suggested that America’s era of political complacency may be coming to an end. He noted that the main reason why many Americans turned a blind eye to their government’s reckless foreign policy adventures was because they were able to isolate themselves in a “cocoon of consumer-driven comfort.” Yet this sort of escapism is becoming less and less viable. In the face of rapidly mounting political, social, and economic problems, Americans will be confronted with the choice between reforming their country or perishing. “The nation that emerges [from this crisis] won't look anything like the nation that exists today. It can't because this nation is fundamentally broken, sick, diseased,” he said. “We have to cure the disease, heal the wounds, and recast ourselves as a nation of one of equals, one that can sit down at a table with the rest of the world and not try to dictate outcomes, but instead talk with people and negotiate outcomes that are mutually beneficial to all, but more importantly, that are beneficial to the American people instead of just the American political elite.” https://sputniknews.com/20230319/scott-ritter-biden-led-the-charge-to-invade-iraq-1108559645.html 2 Likes

PREV Threads: Russia Celebrates 9th Anniversary Of Crimean Reunification With Russia https://www.nairaland.com/7616642/russia-celebrates-9th-anniversary-crimean President Putin Makes Surprise Visit To Mariupol, Russia. https://www.nairaland.com/7617721/breaking-news-president-putin-makes The Russian president heard reports from military leaders at a command post in Rostov-on-Don. Russian President Vladimir Putin has made an unannounced visit to the command-and-control center (CP) in southern Russia that is in charge of military operations in Ukraine, the Kremlin Press Service said on Sunday, as cited by the media. During his trip to the post in Rostov-on-Don, Putin “heard reports from the chief of the Russian General Staff [Valery] Gerasimov and a number of military leaders,” the Kremlin said. In a video of the visit shared by local media, the Russian president told Gerasimov while entering the CP that he had “as much time as necessary” to hear military reports. The high-level meeting comes on the heels of Putin’s surprise visits to Crimea and the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk People’s Republic, which was liberated by Russian forces last spring after weeks of heavy fighting. During the trip to Crimea on Saturday, the ninth anniversary of the peninsula’s reunification with Russia, Putin surveyed the construction of a major UNESCO historical-archaeological park. In Mariupol, the president visited several districts to inspect the progress of restoration efforts, including the construction of residential and public infrastructure facilities, according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. Last autumn, the Donetsk People’s Republic, along with three other former Ukrainian regions, voted overwhelmingly in favor of joining Russia in public referendums, following in the footsteps of Crimea, which voted to join Russia in 2014 after the Western-backed coup in Kiev. https://www.rt.com/russia/573211-putin-meeting-generals-rostov/

This must really really hurt I swear The Nazi sympathizers would be so crazy The Russian leader reportedly toured the second largest city of the Donetsk People’s Republic. President Vladimir Putin reportedly made an unannounced working trip to Mariupol, the Black Sea port city which was liberated by Russian forces last spring amid the military operation in Ukraine, and joined Russia as part of the Donetsk People’s Republic following a referendum in September. Putin arrived in Mariupol by helicopter and drove several districts of the city, accompanied by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, multiple Russian news agencies reported on Sunday morning, citing the president’s press service. The president inspected the progress of the reconstruction and restoration efforts, including “new residential districts, social and educational facilities, housing and communal services infrastructure, medical institutions.” He also allegedly toured the “coastline in the area of the yacht club, the theater building,” as well as other “memorable places” of the city. It was unclear when the trip took place, and the Kremlin has yet to share photos and videos of what would be Putin's first trip to Russia's new region. On Saturday, the head of state was Crimea to mark the ninth anniversary of the peninsula’s reunification with Russia. The city of Mariupol was liberated by Russian forces last spring amid the military operation in Ukraine. It has become one of the symbols of Russia's military campaign, and victory there has arguably been the main triumph, so far. In September, the Donetsk People’s Republics, which incorporates Mariupol, along with Lugansk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, officially became part of the Russian Federation after holding public referendums. https://www.rt.com/russia/573210-putin-visit-mariupol/ I cannot contain my joy and excitement 6 Likes 1 Share

Crimea’s progress after joining Russia in 2014 has been much greater than it ever was under Ukrainian rule, the head of the republic’s State Council, Vladimir Konstantinov, said in an interview with Russia 1 TV on Saturday. His remarks came during the celebration of the ninth anniversary of the peninsula’s reunification with Russia. "We escaped poverty and infrastructural desolation, now turning into a prospering region with a road system, infrastructure, preschools, kindergartens, water and gas," Konstantinov said. He added that "we achieved everything generations of Crimeans have been dreaming of since Soviet times." The official also wrote on Telegram the same day that the "successes and achievements would have been impossible without the help of Russian regions and Moscow’s attention to Crimea." Similarly, the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said on Saturday that reunification with Russia was symbolic of "the birth of a new world order, one based on justice and mutual respect." Crimea held a referendum to join Russia in 2014, shortly after the Maidan coup in Kiev. Around 80% of those eligible to vote took part, with 96.7% voting in favor of reunification. Kiev then tacitly approved a blockade of the Dnieper River in 2015, which supplied water for Crimea’s agricultural industry. This was lifted in February 2022 at the beginning of Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said last month that Kiev is preparing for an offensive to re-capture Crimea. Praising Iran-Saudi Pact, China Says Agreement Will Help Rid Region of ‘External Interference’ The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia moved to restore diplomatic relations Friday in a landmark agreement brokered by China, catching Washington off guard. The traditional regional rivals signed the deal after over seven years without ties. China’s Foreign Ministry cast shade on Washington in a statement on the Iran-Saudi diplomatic agreement signed in Beijing, saying the deal would reduce the “interference” of outside powers in the region's affairs. “With the concerted efforts of all parties concerned, the talks between Saudi Arabia and Iran in Beijing produced major outcomes…Their dialogue and the agreement set a good example of how countries in the region can resolve disputes and differences and achieve good neighborliness and friendship through dialogue and consultation This will help regional countries to get rid of external interference and take the future into their own hands,” the Ministry said in a statement Saturday. Applauding the two countries’ commitment to adhering to the United Nations Charter and avoid meddling in one another’s affairs, Beijing indicated that such a commitment was “in line with the trend of the times,” and that China “applauds this and congratulates both sides.” The Foreign Ministry did not mention the US by name, reiterating that the People’s Republic is opposed to geopolitical competition in the Middle East, and saying China “has no intention to and will not seek to fill a so-called vacuum or put up exclusive blocs” in the region. Beijing’s emphasis on regional countries taking “the future into their own hands” echoes the policy pursued by Iran over the years, with Tehran touting a series of mechanisms for reconstructing the region’s security architecture, including through the so-called ‘Hormuz Peace Initiative’. The latter proposes establishing joint security in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman by regional countries, without the involvement of any “foreign forces,” including the United States or its allies. Iran and Saudi Arabia have been major rivals for decades owing to both religious considerations (the two countries informally consider themselves leaders of the Shia and Sunni sects of Islam, respectively) and geopolitical considerations. Riyadh’s traditionally close economic and security ties to the United States did not help matters in the past, with Tehran seeing the Saudis as one of Washington’s key regional allies alongside Israel. The neighbors across the Gulf broke off diplomatic relations completely in 2016 after the execution of a Saudi Shia cleric, and consequent protests outside Saudi diplomatic offices in Iran. By 2019, the two countries had quietly resumed talks on normalizing relations, with Iraqi-brokered negotiations broken off in early 2020 after a US drone strike killed Revolutionary Guard Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani during a peace mission in Baghdad. The push toward Iranian-Saudi rapprochement accelerated in 2021 as the Biden administration moved to ‘recalibrate’ its ties with the Kingdom, including by putting some weapons sales and intelligence support on hold amid the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen. Saudi officials responded by floating a Yemen peace proposal, and expressing hopes that the Kingdom could “have a good and distinguished relationship” with its Iranian neighbors. Saudi-US relations sunk to a new low last spring, with Riyadh reportedly refusing to return Biden’s phone calls after the latter called hoping to get the Kingdom to ramp up oil production in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis. Biden’s trip to the region for a summit meeting in Jeddah last summer and fist-bumping with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman apparently failed to convince Riyadh to change course on oil output. Months later, Riyadh signed a strategic partnership agreement with Beijing and expressed interest in joining the BRICS group, laying the groundwork for Friday’s deal with Iran (which penned a similar deal with China and also applied to join BRICS). There's just so much content to mock the US with that..I'm overwhelmed This must really sting so bad. https://sputniknews.com/20230312/praising-iran-saudi-pact-china-says-agreement-will-help-rid-region-of-external-interference-1108316681.html |

I don talk am Israel strikes targets in Syria The attack on Sunday left three military personnel injured, according to the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency Israel fired several missiles against neighboring Syria on Sunday morning, the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) has claimed. Three Syrian service members reportedly sustained injuries as a result of the strike, with unspecified material damage inflicted as well. The article quoted an anonymous source as describing Israeli “bursts of missiles from the direction of northern Lebanon, targeting some sites in the countryside of the Tartous and Hama provinces.” According to SANA, at least some of the incoming rockets were intercepted by Syrian air defenses Meanwhile, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claimed that “two pro-Iran fighters were killed and three Syrian soldiers were wounded” on Sunday morning. The watchdog also alleged a “scientific research center” was located in one of the targeted areas, as quoted by the news agency AFP. The alleged missile strike comes less than a month after a deadly attack on Damascus in mid-February, which local media claimed was launched from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights toward the Syrian capital. While most of the missiles in the February attack were intercepted, at least one hit a residential building, claiming the lives of several civilians, Sana reported at the time. The death toll ended up reaching five, including one service member. Fifteen were reportedly injured, all of whom were allegedly civilians. The attack came not long after a series of devastating earthquakes hit northern Syria. In keeping with its policy, the Israel Defense Forces has not commented on the attack. Israel is believed to have carried out hundreds of strikes on Syrian territory since 2011. Damascus, in turn, has repeatedly protested the raids as a violation of its sovereignty. https://www.rt.com/news/572836-syria-report-israel-missile-strike/

Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Announces Visa Free Protocol For Nigerians by BidenDConquerer: 12:42pm On Mar 12, 2023 |
@above user. I expect a simplified Visa process for Africans to make tourism and exposure to the developed world easier for Africans. Africans need to see and experience the world themselves. Nigerian men need to see the beauty and intelligence of Russian women in real life. When I moved outside Nigeria, I appreciated women more. When you say Afro-Russo copulation..perhaps you meant it to be a bad thing but it proves the richness of Russia's diversity. I'm a fine black man myself Just imagine the baby I'll have with a Russian woman PS: Foreign citizens serve in the US millitary as for a path to citizenship (most of them are used and then discarded. They suffer from PTSD and eventually perish in homelessness) Modified. As per the number of losses. I checked before providing this information. Yes both Russia and Ukraine have experienced losses but the ratio of Ukrainian losses to that of Russia is substantially very high. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: US Declares War On Korea by BidenDConquerer: 12:16pm On Mar 12, 2023 |
The real question is. Why provoke a country (that according to the user above me) has nothing to lose and is also nuclear armed? Korea reserves the right as a sovereign country to conduct defensive military drills from it's territory. You wouldn't expect Korea to come to Lagos and start test firing missiles. France tested nuclear weapons in Africa(Algeria). Korea doesn't have the benefit of testing it's weapons in foreign states as it's not a colonizing power. The US can conduct it's unsuccessful drills in the US coastal waters/territory. I agree with the conclusion of this user petervk How many drills do USA and South Korea need ? They seem to do a drill every second week so this suggests their training isn't too successful. I am beginning to understand why it was so difficult for South Korea to shoot down some DPRK drones that had been doing a tour of SK and then those multiple shots needed to take down some weather balloons in the USA. My word of advice to South Korea is find a better teacher because the one they have is still in training. |
