I’ve noticed a lot of small businesses struggle when dealing with tech guys, missed deadlines, poor communication, or half-done work.

Over time I’ve realised it’s easier when you work with a structured team instead of a random freelancer. Clear process, clear expectations.

I saw a tech company profile recently that actually explained what they do clearly, so I saved it for reference:

For those running businesses here, how do you usually vet developers or tech teams before working with them?

Hi Nairalanders,

I’ve been noticing something interesting in Ikorodu lately – more young people are diving into tech skills like digital marketing, data analysis, most especially Cybersecurity. It’s amazing how these skills are helping people land freelance jobs and even remote gigs with international clients.

Just last week, I met someone who completed a coding course and is now earning dollars from freelancing! It got me thinking: could tech education be one of the best ways to tackle unemployment in Nigeria?

There are a few places around Ikorodu offering these trainings. One I’ve heard good things about is 'Digital World Tech Academy', located at Ikorodu Garage. There are also some other great tech schools in Ikorodu, but i'm just very sure of this particular one. They teach practical skills and have flexible payment plans. If anyone’s curious, here’s their Google Business Profile, you can check for yourself:

But I’m curious to hear from you all:
- Have you noticed this tech trend in other parts of Lagos apart from Lagos Island and Mainland?
- Do you think learning tech skills can really change lives?

Let’s discuss! I think it’s something more people should be talking about.
