AutosTips When Considering To Purchase A Salvage Vehicle by bidgodrive(op): 4:25pm On Apr 20, 2019
It’s becoming more common for people across the world to purchase salvaged cars. Either they want to work on getting a car together with their own hands as a hobby, or, to save themselves a hefty amount of money. Purchasing a salvaged vehicle can be a good decision financially if you do it right. There are a few factors you should take into consideration when doing so, and the most important one is working with a well established and experienced salvage car dealers.

When searching for the vehicle you want to buy, make sure that the dealer has high quality pictures of the car in every angel. Its need so that you can properly understand the amount of visible damage the car has and can make a rough estimate on how much it would potentially cost you to fix it up.

Before you purchase any vehicle, it is important you do a history check. You do not want to purchase a vehicle that has been in multiple crashes and has been redone to look practically brand new. The amount of damage that could be under the hood could cost you way more than you paid for the car itself.

When you find the car you want to buy, try calculating how much money you would potentially be spending on repairs once you get it. It is important to analyze the pictures in detail you are provided when buying online, and even assuming certain under the hood damages if you see that the front end of the car had a severe hit.

As the population rises among metropolitan cities across the word, more and more people are opting for personal cars for their daily commute as well as for leisure. As a result, the Repairable Car market is also booming all around the world. According to a survey, the market grew from 5.7 million in 2010 to 7.2 million in 2017. Buy a Repairable Car not only saves money, but also helps reduce our carbon footprint on the planet and contribute towards more sustainable consumption of resources. Buying a salvaged car, however, requires some research to avoid making a wrong investment. If you are planning to buy a salvaged car, we are here to help. Read on as we present the things to look for when buying a Repairable Car.
Under the Hood
The first and foremost step you should take when buying a Repairable Car is to check its key components and engine. This generally starts by looking under the hood for any kind of damage to the mechanical parts of the vehicle. You should also check for any kind of liquid leaking out of the car; this generally includes checking the coolant vent, engine oil, and fuel pipes. The next step is to test the engine to see if the vehicle starts. Look for any kind of unusual noise coming from the vehicle.
Exteriors and Interiors
After inspecting the mechanics of the car, the next step is to take a conscious look at the interiors as well as exteriors of the vehicle. Check for any kind of damage to the body, which may include structural and paint. Once inside the car, observe to see if any airbags have been deployed and look at the condition of the upholstery.
Documents
Next and final step is to ask the seller of the car to show you all the documents related to the car. This typically includes the salvage/clean title or registration certificate (RC).

www.BidGoDrive.com
There is no dearth of salvage vehicles in the market—whether online or offline. What is more tricky is to make the most out of these deals. Before buying a salvage vehicle, understanding the purpose for buying is necessary. No doubt you can buy a salvage titled vehicle at a low price compared to brand new or even used ones, but if you are not sure why you are buying a salvage title vehicle, you are probably not making the most out of your economical purchase. In this blog, we have outlined certain ways in which you can best use your salvage vehicle.

Add Classics to Your Collection
Don’t let your financial crunch impede your love for collecting amazing classics and limited edition vehicles. There are many vehicle enthusiasts who can’t keep up with their collection due to several financial constraints. You can be lucky to find your favorite classic car among the junk, most of which you can easily repair to drive down the road after removing the salvage title and keep it as a part of your collection.

Buy for Personal Use
Salvage vehicle dealers provide a strong platform for car enthusiasts to buy vehicles at affordable prices. Those dreaming of owning a car can fulfill their dream by contacting a reputable and licensed salvage vehicle dealer. There is one important aspect you need to make sure -- get the salvage vehicles inspected by a trustworthy mechanic so that you don’t spend your hard earned money on useless junk.

Get Spare Parts at Affordable Prices
While brand new spare parts of your car come with hefty price tag, you can get similar ones from salvage cars at the local junkyard. All you need to do is inspect the vehicle for the required parts, buy it at a cheap price and extract the required parts. Moreover, those who operate a mechanic shop can use salvage car auctions as platform to get spare parts from salvage cars, which they can use for repairing other cars and make a profit out of it.

Sell Restored Cars
For aspiring entrepreneurs buying salvage cars make a good business idea as there are many car enthusiasts who are always in look out of cars at economical prices. At a junkyard, there are many such cars that have been totaled by the insurer, but have suffered only a few cosmetic injuries, which are easy to fix. Others may have a few repair issues that even after repair would not cost more than the brand new ones. Nevertheless, you should get the cars inspected by a trusted car mechanic before investing your money in it and once assured it is repairable, you can build your business in an effective manner.

The Bottom Line
Different people have different purposes for buying cars. Where some people can afford the hefty price of brand new cars, others look for economic options. Not many of them know that they can do more than fulfilling their dream of owning a car. Hope this brief read helps you think beyond the conventional and get the most out of your salvage car deal.

AutosWhy Would You Want A Salvage Car Over A Used Or A New Car? by bidgodrive(op): 7:39pm On Apr 14, 2019
First of all it is economical. Let’s get real: when appraisers estimate the cost of fixing a salvage car according to all their scales and standards, they use the original factory rates. Those, my friend, are high because they match the price of a new car. Do you know how to fix cars or know a good place with good prices? Of course, you do! Then why spend anywhere close to that sum?

Now think of the way the lease works. You pay every month for the car, but at the end you have to either give it back or pay the rest of its original price. Here, you get a car for very cheap, restore it and get an awesome vehicle for a very small sum. Even after you invest some money into repairing it, you still save enough to pay for many months of mortgage, an anniversary present to your other half and a vacation! Then you can either keep it or sell it for a much higher sum.

Why doesn’t everybody do it? – Because, just like you, they have not yet learned about this opportunity.
Do you know good places? You got good hands? Maybe you already have your own developed infrastructure like a repair shop? – Then this is definitely something you should consider.
We say consider, because it has to be a careful, knowledgeable, thought-through decision, which we can definitely guide you through. Take a look at the full financial analysis so you can get an idea . Learn the market and the cars, then you can even make a very good business out of it. You can try with one, sell it, discover that sales gene in yourself and start making really good money.

Another reason is having power to make your dream come true. You are probably thinking that I need to get a taste of reality, and that the country is in crisis, and that you have mortgage, college loans and a second half whom you need to spoil. I understand, but salvage cars make those dreams possible without harming your financial status. You can even get a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, a Porsche, any one of those beauties, for a price of a used BMW. Tempting? We thought so. We are not throwing empty promises at you. You share your dream with us and we guide you towards it.

Salvage cars can also be a creativity outlet. For those who love custom made cars, the salvage car is a way to go. There is no point in buying a new car if you want to rearrange it like a Lego puzzle. Maybe you want an antique car. Maybe you want to make a replica of a car from your favorite movie? It is all possible! It just makes no sense to ruin something in order to create something. It becomes a very expensive project. You know how many of those designers started? By taking old pieces, adding new attributes, getting rid of unneeded details and making masterpieces come out. Same with salvage cars!
Now you know what salvage cars are. However, knowing what they are is not enough. You have to know the steps to making this purchase a success. Choice is very important. You have to know what you need this car for. Do you need it for extreme sports like stunt riders who modify and crash their bikes, racers who deep-tune their vehicles, or off-road drivers who are not even concerned about the car’s appearance or missing parts? Do you need it as a family car? Do you need it for a collection piece? Know its purpose before you make a choice. Do not get a car with wheels and a working engine when you are planning to implant a new engine or new wheels. Do not look for an unharmed roof, when your dream car is a convertible. It will be a waste of your money.
Do not concentrate on choosing the car that appears to have the least amount of damage, choose the one that fulfills your specific needs or your project. It will save you a lot of money. Analyze the risk factors. You save because you risk, but make sure you minimize your risk by making a careful choice.

AutosWhat Is #framedamage?? by bidgodrive(op): 5:38pm On Sep 02, 2018
1. The Frame of a #Car
Modern frame designs rely on different parts working in tandem. The unibody's pieces fold on impact. They absorb damage, reducing the chance of injury for the passengers. When a part is #damaged, the effect differs on your #car.

The Front Section
The front section of a car has the core support, strut tower, firewall, unirail, and the apron. Each part protects your engine and serves to support other parts of the #frame.

When damaged, the front part #crumples and stops shock from traveling. The unirail is one of the strongest pieces in the frame.

There's a high chance that #majordamage to this section will bend the car's alignment.

The Middle Section
#Parts in the middle are sturdier than the front and back. It's where all the passengers' seats are after all.

Here you find the A and B pillars, rocker panel, and the floor pan. If the power of the impact is within the threshold, these parts can prevent serious injuries.

Significant damage here causes difficulty in evacuating the car in some cases.

The Tail Section
The last third of the car has the quarter panel, C pillar, and rear support. Like the front section, collisions here can compromise the whole #vehicle.

Depending on the hit, your trunk and gas cap become inaccessible. Wheel alignment also comes into question.

2. The Different Types of Frame Damage
When it comes to unibody damage, there are subtle distinctions.

Minor damage doesn't compromise the crumple zones. They are cosmetic and won't affect major portions of the vehicle.

Repairs for such issues won't cost you an arm and a leg. Afterward, the vehicle will still be safe to drive.

But it's easy to mistake an important crack as something minor. If left alone, even a small ripple compromises the rest of the vehicle. If the strut tower folds, then any future accidents can cause it to break easier.

This is where major damage becomes a problem.

Unless you've experienced a huge accident, big issues are hard to spot. That's because alignment shift isn't obvious until a full checkup.

A Sagging or Twisted #Frame
The big telltale sign of a sag are gaps in the body. Because of the unevenness, the car leans deeper into a specific section.

Over time, your tires and coils will wear out faster.

Twists can cause the same kind of damage. They're harder to spot in most vehicles though. Finding the source of the problem means inspecting the frame in a thorough manner.

Some symptoms to look out for include difficult turns and instability at high #speeds.

The Sway
When a car gets hit in a corner, sway damage becomes the biggest #problem.

Sway car frame damage is easier to catch than the two above. It shows off as a lean to one direction.

When moving, the car won't drive in a straight line. Over time, you'll feel severe vibrations, leading to a total breakdown. Having a misaligned driveshaft causes harm to the transmission as well.

A #Mashed Frame
Mash damage happens when you experience a head-on hit or get rear-ended. After a #collision, the frame will crumble in on itself.

You end up with a #carpart shorter than before the accident.

Once mashed, the damage ripples to other portions of a vehicle. You can experience sway, sags, or even twists.

What's worse is that even low-speed impacts cause mash damage.

3. Dealing with Damage
As an owner of a #damagedcar, it's important to understand that damage is repairable. You can solve body issues through replacement parts.

If your #vehicle is still in production, procuring replacements is easy. The manufacturers will list the parts or shops that #stock them online.

Place the order and you're halfway done.

#Carframedamage that makes it crooked is a different case. You need a professional with experience using a frame straightener.

In both cases, full repairs take a while to finish. #Dismantling the car is a must because of cleaning and welding.

Dealing with compromised body parts is another issue. Frame realignment is important, but doing the same for a crushed C pillar is a #badidea.

When a specialized piece of metal crumples, it'll never have the same strength. Any future damage that hits your car can be fatal in these instances.

4. Are #Repairs Worth the Risk?
Depending on the damage, repairs are worth a certain amount of cash.

Minor dents are reversible and some car parts are easy to replace. A crumbled door that doesn't affect the frame won't put your safety at risk.

Damage which compromises other parts of the structure is a different beast. Over time, the ripple effect puts the rest of the car in danger.

When you have to deal with straightening, service fees become high. In fact, they can cost more than the car itself.

Weigh the pros and cons of repairing and #junking before making a decision.

It's crazy to pay for a repair bill that can otherwise buy you a new car. Unless the vehicle means a lot to you, don't go for this option.

Remember: 2.35 million people in the U.S. alone suffer from injuries and even disabilities every year due to road accidents. Driving faulty or damaged vehicles have led to many of these accidents.

Autos4 Ways To Determine The Right Value Of A Salvage Car by bidgodrive(op): 10:44pm On Aug 04, 2018
Whether planning to buy a #salvagecar for personal use or to flip for #profit, it is important to consider a few factors before closing the deal. Buying a #salvagevehicle makes sense if it offers some value in exchange of your hard earned #money. Although a lot of thought goes into the process of buying a salvage #car, the most important among all is to ensure the true market value of the car. If you are unsure of how to do it, the post discusses several tips to help you find a fair deal in the #salvageworld.

1. Identify the Year, #Make, and #Model of the Car
The total value of a used car can get affected by factors such as the year, make and model of the car. It is, therefore, important to consider these factors before closing the #deal. You will easily find this information either in the car’s owner’s manual or on the #salvagetitle. In addition, determine the trim level of the vehicle to understand whether the vehicle meets your demand for aesthetics.
2. Look up the #BlueBook Value
To identify the fair price of the used car, compare dealer’s price with the blue book value of the car. Although mileage and condition of the car plays an important role in determining its price, blue book value will help you get an approximate price value of the vehicle. There are many websites that can help you look up the blue book value of #wrecked #carsforsale.
3. Review the #VehicleHistory
Conducting a VIN check of a #wreckedcar for sale will let you know whether the car had an #accident in the past or if there is any problem related to the title, ownership, or service. Though some #dealers can help you with the report, in most cases you would have to do it on your own. To get detailed info about past #accidents, you can simply lookup the VIN of the car you consider buying through a trusted platform.
4. Get the #CarInspected by a #Mechanic
Getting the vehicle checked by a #reliablemechanic plays a key role in the #buying process. Although you can do a visual inspection of the car frame on your own, but you would still require a mechanic to run some basic tests and identify the real worth of the vehicle. There could be a possibility that there are some underlying problems that are not visible to naked eyes but could be easily identified with the help of a mechanic.

AutosBuying Salvage Vehicles Helps Save The Environment by bidgodrive(op): 8:22pm On Jun 08, 2018
#Autosalvage has a long history of #recycling. #Cars are the most recycled item. #Salvagecars and #parts help reduce, reuse and #recycle.

Our #environment has become one of the foremost issues of the 21st century. There is genuine concern and efforts are being made globally to reduce, reuse and recycle. The #autosalvageindustry is by far, one of the oldest, organized forms of recycling. The most recycled item in #NorthAmerica, with over 80% of its’ weight being reused or recycled, is the automobile, according to the December 2014 issue of #AutomotiveRecycling #Magazine. Auto salvages have been reusing and recycling well before the thought of refundable containers and bundled paper. My grandfather has made a business out of recycling #vehicles for over 65 years!

In the #autoworld, there is little waste. #Vehicles with little or #nodamage are sold and returned to the road. These include #latemodelvehicles that meet both #safety and #emissions standards. You can even find the environmentally conscience #hybrids, at seriously #discountedprices in #salvage, like for example the #ChevroletVolt and the #ToyotaPrius. Returning these vehicles to the road has a number of implications, but essentially it comes down to less new vehicles that need to be produced, which means less waste in pollution from the manufacturing process.

Vehicles that are #titled as #non-repairable are stripped of all viable parts, which will be reused, once sold. With #usedparts, you are able to buy #OEMparts at half the cost. A question we are routinely asked about our parts is how do we know they are good? Well, to begin with, at reputable yards, parts are tested and inspected before they are inventoried and/or sold. A vehicle to be in an accident or be stolen, there is a very high likely hood that it was being driven at the time, therefore, the parts were functioning. Most salvage yards also offer, at least, a 30-day warranty on parts. Used parts inventories across North America can be viewed at MyPartsShop.com. Fluids such as waste oil and antifreeze can be processed and reused. Metal and rubber are sold to buyers representing the appropriate #recycling facilities to process these materials. Programs that ensure dangerous chemicals are not left to decompose in our earth have been in place for years, take for example the Switch out Mercury program in Canada.

The #Automotive Recycler’s Association reports that recycling steel produces enough new steel to make 13 million #newvehicles. Another interesting fact presented by ARA is that the sale of reused parts reduces the amount of oil needed to fuel the industrial processes of making new or replacement parts, by 85 million barrels a year. These statistics alone should leave you considering used parts for your repairs and salvage for your next vehicle.

AutosGolden Rules To Buying #classiccars #online by bidgodrive(op): 1:43am On May 20, 2018
Nowadays, anyone with an #Internet connection can #shoponline for their favorite #cars. There are many advantages for doing so. Online #showroom sites, for instance, allows buyers to bypass the high-pressure sales tactics and #buyvehicles on their own terms. Among the cars in demand online are super-rare #vintagecars that people can buy without their wallet taking a hit. But before you decide to participate in such a #venue to buy a #classiccar for sale, make sure you take care of the following.

Be Thorough
Take your time getting to know the car. Make sure you’re thorough with the #investigation process. Ask questions. Inquire how many owners the car has had so far. Find out how many miles it has #driven. What about the #maintenance and #repair history. Piece together all these bits of information as they will help you make an informed decision. Based on the data available on different cars, you can zero in on one that you think is worth it.

Be Patient
First-time #buyers tend to get over-excited and impatient and indulge in impulse buying. But like any other #carpurchase, classic car purchases need patience. It is harmless to refuse or decline a car or two before you finally make up your mind. There’s no rule that one needs to buy the first car they come across. Don’t be led by unbelievable prices alone; go for the substance.

Get Visual Proof
A picture says a thousand words, they say. When you’re a buying a vehicle online, you won’t be able to see the cars in person. Traveling distances to take a look at them is out of question when you and certain vehicles are states apart. In such situations, visual proof in the form of images of the vehicles is the best option. Usually, online showrooms put a plethora of #goodquality and #detailed pictures taken from different angles for the convenience of prospective buyers. Take advantage of them.

AutosAuto Body Repair Tips For Used Cars by bidgodrive(op): 7:33pm On May 09, 2018
WWW.BIDGODRIVE.COM
#Used and #repossessed #cars for sale are different from #accident #damagedcars. Despite most of the cars having no apparent issues, it is still important to inspect your options before you #buy. One of the areas that need your attention is the #bodywork. Whether its a #fenderbender or a door ding, dents on the appearance of your car are not only unpleasing but also reduces the value of the #vehicle. #Repairs are important and so is saving when you do so. Here are some tips to help you keep your auto body work costs down.

Know the rates
Before settling for any #autorepair #shop, first ask about their #autobody repair rates which must be less than #mechanical rates. The idea is not to go for the lowest rate but one that gives you savings without compromising the quality of work you get. Remember to check your bill to make sure that you have been charged at the quoted rate.
Consider latest techniques
Depending on the nature and extent of damage to the #repossessed #carforsale that you buy, you can opt for the latest auto body repair techniques such as #PDR (Paintless #Damage Repair). The techniques works without sanding, body filler, and painting. This gives you savings and also positions you for an insurance waiver on the deductible or a discount, depending on your insurance company.
Replace instead of repair
In some instances, it is easier and cheaper to replace a #damagedpart as opposed to trying to repair it. Some of the parts that you can replace include a fender bender. Look for information on the internet on how to proceed if you are not sure.
Go DIY
Although you must always opt for a #professional #repairjob, it may be advisable to take care of some issues yourself. If your car has minor scratches, you can easily repair them on your own before taking the car to the auto body repair shop. Check for minor scratches and chips and use the best tools, products, and processes to fix the problem.

AutosMany Benefits Of Buying A Salvage Vehicle !! by bidgodrive(op): 8:56pm On Apr 22, 2018

The price offsets any problems
As with any #usedcar or salvage car, problems can sometimes surface with your #newride. They give you access to #OEMparts for a diverse selection of makes and models at giveaway prices. You can easily bring down the cost of repairs and maintenance significantly if you consider salvage car auctions as an ideal hunting ground for parts.

They are not always on their last legs
Salvage cars for sale are not made the same. Contrary to misconceptions in some quarters, you can actually get a car that runs perfectly and requires little to no major repairs. There are various reasons why cars end up with the #salvagetitle and some of them really have little to do with #damage.

The trick is knowing the maximum price

AutosWhat To Know About Water Damaged Vehicles ? Honda -toyota - Hyundai - Nissan by bidgodrive(op): 5:06pm On Oct 22, 2017
WWW.BIDGODRIVE.COM
Buying a vehicle that has had previous water damage can be concerning for a number of reasons. Was this car floating in lake Michigan? Or did Joe Schmoe leave the sunroof open during a rainstorm and subsequently his insurance company wrote it off? I just want to know How bad was it?!.....Well the good news about water damaged vehicles is that you can tell fairly quick how bad the damage was, and what was damaged by the water. It's pretty simple, water and electronics DON'T MIX..no seriously, they DON'T MIX! Drop your cell phone in a bucket of water and let it sit for a minute, then pull it out and see if IT still works …odds are in your favor that you'll be buying a new phone pretty soonJ. The same can be said for any vehicle that has had previous water damage and had water enter inside. If the water got into any electronics, computers, or modules inside the vehicle, they simple won't work, which in turn will make your dashboard light up like the Christmas tree in Central Park. You Can't Miss It. You'll have a hard time looking through the windshield with a dashboard full of flashing lights.

RECAP- if water damages any of the vehicles electronic components, there will either be warning lights flashing on your dashboard, or the components (i.e. power seat motors in the seat) just won't work, period. Water takes the guessing out of the repairs. Secondly, the interior floors of your vehicle are actually designed to get wet. It's suggested that you deep clean your carpets at least twice a year, which requires you to soak your carpets , then shampoo them. I've heard multiple times that there is a general concern for undercarriage rusting from the water damage. Once again, rain water is fresh water, and we drive our cars through multiple rainstorms and snow storms each year. This is no different than a vehicle sitting in 18 inches of water. And finally, a lot of people are worried about problems surfacing later on down the road with a flood vehicle. The simple Answer is ..NO. From personal experience of selling over 500 flood vehicles, if something is going to go wrong, 99% of the time the problem will surface immediately, remember, electronics and water DON'T MIX! Water doesn't sit around for 6 months(it evaporates before then) waiting to find its way into a module or electronic component. If water is somewhere it's NOT supposed to be, then we will have known about it, and fixed the problem way before you come down to take it home!

WWW.BIDGODRIVE.COM has a vast inventory of low level fresh water flooded vehicles. All the vehicles have been sanitized, fluids changed and thoroughly inspected. All our flood vehicles are new vehicles with very low miles acquired from franchise dealerships that were slightly flooded during the course of a rain storm. We do not acquire salt water flood vehicles as in our eyes should not be driven or back on the road. Please feel free to click on the link below and call us if you are interested in any vehicle that you see listed.
