Travel › Re: Maiden Name On Passport, Married: Which Name For Canada Visa? by BigCaesar: 7:58pm On Oct 26
Use whatever name that is currently in your passport but indicate your marital status in the visa application form and include your spouse name. That's all, you are very good to go. Good luck to you
Charis14:
Hello, my passport is still in my maiden name, but I am married. For my Canadian study permit, should I use my husband's surname or should I use my maiden name exactly as it is on my passport? I plan to do an affidavit for change of name.

Travel › Re: Came To The UK For A Master's Degree But I Regret Coming. Thinking Of Returning. by BigCaesar: 12:53pm On Oct 15
Please quietly come back home, there's nothing in the UK for you, no future mostly for foreigner in that stingy country, UK is a very hard place, please leave now and you will be happy you did and you will be far better than those you left hind in few years time trust me. All what you need is that exposure which you have already gotten now, to help you succeed in Nigeria, better opportunity and chances are in Nigeria if you know what you are doing and in turn you will be visiting the UK for holidays to flex, flexing you will never ever get all your life if you remain in the UK.

Lannister247:
Good morning, everyone. Please, I need honest advice from Nigerians who have experienced life in the UK, especially Nigerians who have returned home after relocating abroad.

Please as a Nigerian if you have not visited the UK or lived in the west before then stay away, you'll never understand the challenges abroad thus youll start making silly comments like:

"Na villiage people de call you"
or "anywhere is better than nigeria"
or start throwing insult on something you know nothing about.

Continuing..

I knew abroad was hard, i watched people's story on youtube but i never expected it to be this terrible.

I am a Nigerian currently in the UK studying for a master's degree. Honestly, I am struggling badly with life here, and I have been regretting since i came here.
Before coming to the UK, I had my own challenges in Nigeria, but I was far happier, i had peace i took for granted.

Since arriving here, I have been feeling stressed, worried and trapped. I don't enjoy anything about this place, and I find myself regretting my decision almost every day. Sometimes people even notice the worry on my face and ask me if I am okay, THE STRESS IS OVERWHELMING.

One of the things weighing heavily on me is the routine I have ahead of me for the next year. I either have to go to school or be working. I don't have even one day of rest in a week not even Sunday. This is what my life is going to look like for the next year, and honestly, I don't know how I will cope with it. The thought of living like this is overwhelming, should i even call that living?

Another thing that worries me is the future. I see people talking about five year and ten year plans to gather enough funds and return back home, but I don't even know how I can stay here for another month. I have met Nigerians who have lived here for many years, some 5, 10 years and they have nothing, even the ones who manage to build one small house in Nigeria built it with their life(not money) working like a sl@ve 7 days a week toiling and jeopadising your health just to build a house, is it worth it?

Seeing this has made me question what exactly I am walking into and wether its better to exit early when i still have my youth, i mean the kind energy people put here if they put it back in Nigeria they must succeed.
People are not happy here they are simply enduring everything because they have already invested so much in coming and is ashamed to go back.

If I return to Nigeria now, I will have to start figuring things out again.
My biggest fear is not just the financial side of returning. It is also what people will say. Some Nigerians may laugh at me for returning after such a short time, especially when so many people are desperate to relocate abroad.

I don't want to make a decision based on people's opinions, but I would be lying if I said their judgment does not bother me.
At the same time, I don't want to spend the next 5-10 years being miserable, missing out on life, toiling, waking up by 4am and getting home by 8pm simply because I am afraid of what people will say. If i ever get the courage to go back to Nigeria ill never leave that place, you'll never value that Country until you've left. I am just confuse at the moment.

Politics › Re: Nothing Working Under Tinubu, I Wonder How People Are Eating - Titi Abubakar by BigCaesar: 1:39pm On Sep 11
Point of correction a VP does not have any power in a government, just as wicked wike is even more powerful than Shetima in this government, so dont ask what Atiku did in OBJ's government because you asking the question knows very well that deputy governor is not a governor and Vice President is not a president
PerfectStranger:
What impact did you so called husband create during his tenure as VP? You people are really taking Nigerians for a f00l walahi.
Bird of same feathers.

This is can be traceable to criminal and evil party APC because the way they have been threatening to kill people its something else because they know too well that they stance no chance in winning this coming election so they have now resorted to threat, intimidation and violence but by the power of the almighty God they wont survive this election, Nigeria that stopped Abacha and OBJ 3rd term bid will stop APC and Tinubu desperation to return to power to continue tormenting Nigerians with hardship and poverty
