Lagos State, would have overcomed this level long time ago,If Buhari as military head of state, had allowed Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande( the best governor of Lagos State) to actualize his dream of giving the state a metro line.

Lagos State Government Commences Construction of Mile 2 Marina Interchange Transportation Hub

The Lagos State Government has begun constructing two interchange hubs at Mile 2 and Marina to integrate various modes of transportation and ensure seamless connectivity between rail, water, and road networks. Here are some key points about the project:

Groundbreaking Ceremony: The groundbreaking ceremony for these hubs was conducted on Tuesday by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, along with officials from Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (LAMATA) ¹.
Project Objective: The interchange project aims to improve public transportation in Lagos by integrating different modes of transportation and providing seamless connectivity among Rail, Water, and Road transportation ².

Funding: The project is being funded with credit from AFD and counterpart funds from the Lagos State Government ².

Contractors: The project has been divided between two contractors, CCECC will be responsible for the construction of the Mile 2 interchange, while Step Construction Company will handle the Marina interchange ².
