I was told that we should register with the new portal which is (https://digital.diplo.de/visa) and drop the required documents including our admission letter that they will reply to us within weeks (I WAS TOLD AT THE EMBASSY)

I am preparing for study visa interview and I have a conflicting information regarding documents to take while going.

Below are two images;
The first one is from the consular portal before booking the appointment.
The second is from the email confirmation after booking the appointment.

1. I would like to know which instruction to follow.

2. I would also like to know how to get a prepaid courier service envelope (DHL) in lagos. Do I buy and take it there or can I buy it there?

3. Lastly, can I do a cash transfer for the visa processing fee or do I pay with cash there?

Sure i can do that. Over the years i've worked in many places as a working student Telekom, Daimler[Mercedes-Benz]... The one most preferred is to get a Werkstudent[Working Student] Contract with it you get more money[>750€], experience and almost a direct position in the company after study.. But if that is not possible you can work in the following sectors and earn at least 450 - 520€.

:: - As a sales person for maybe a Backery
:: - Logistics
:: - For Amazon in their Logistics
:: - Even at your University
and many more..

Personally i would advise to work where you will get what will cover most of your expenses ie House/Feeding and focus on your studies.

During semester break you can work for big companies like Audi, Mercedess-Benz and co. and earn a lot to refill your bank account before the next semester starts.

Don’t we need german skills for this? Please tips on how to apply as well?

In my own case,there was nothing like verification. Money was paid,got the transfer receipt and uploaded to my portal. My confirmation came instantly with my travel insurance and my school was notified about my health insurance.

If your degree is tagged evivalent on anabin, all you need is a block account of €13,092 or a sponsorship letter then you open an account on the digital platform and upload. They'll review it within a week and get back to you if there's need for changes. After all these, you'll be sent a link to book an appointment. They have appointment date readily available from tomorrow the 19th till next month. It's fast once you have your documents

Opportunity card is faster at the moment. You can use it, then convert to study visa when you get to Deutschland

Did you apply on February 11th through the consular service portal? If yes, you will recieve your appointment when everyone else who registered through the old appointment system has gotten theirs. If you registered through the old appointment system, you are on the waiting list, so you just wait to get your appointment.

Who knows whether someone with a daad scholarship have to apply differently for a German visa?

You are a Cat A student (if that classification still exists). You need to apply for a student visa

UPDATE: A new appointment was issued by the embassy

He re-booked an appointment by applying on the portal and then sent an email together with the new reference number and the old reference number. In the email, he explained the situation, and attached the block amount confirmation. Two days later, He was issued a new appointment date with the new reference he had booked.

NEVER go to the embassy with an incomplete document.

Please what date was given?
