SuperOnyi:

If you're creating a new account, you need a new device, a new identity, and so on. Everything should be entirely new including your sim card. Ensure nobody has used it for KDP before.
Untoldtrúth is right. Where exactly did you put the link? Even though that is not enough to get your book blocked, these guys don't care. The worst part is that you're dealing with bots. AI has no emotion and only does what it's programmed to do.
After I read somewhere in their rules that placing links that will take readers out of Amazon is prohibited, which I don't do, anyway. I know you didn't do that, you simply placed the link to the other book and a review request.
So what I did was to place the link at the end of the book, or at the middle. This is because even though you didn't do anything wrong, the bot would look out for just anything no matter how small.
I know people who got their book blocked because they simply edited some information which is not against their rules. I have seen it happen many times but some Amazon-do-good publishers will tell you that you're in ass wrong.
I love AI but using AI totally for moderation is evil and stupid. When dealing with these big companies, while focusing on solving your fans' problems, ensure you're making ways to pack a lot of money and diversify.
I remind myself this every morning. Hi. Amazon keeps blocking my book whenever I upload. They have done this to me 19 times. And each time, they send an email saying my book would result in a disappointing customer review. I don't know what is wrong and they don't give reasons for why my book is being blocked. It's my first book. Can you help? Maybe it's the formatting of my book? I used a little AI but didn't click the "I used ai for my book" button whilst uploading it to Amazon kdp. |

CandyOps: I sold self help books. I’m not so sure fictional books would produce the same results. I sold a book that solves a problem not just fun reads yes. I also have a self help ebook. Freshers in university and high school senior students would LOVE IT. getting them to see it is the problem now. I contacted some JAMB group admins on Facebook but they seldom check their messages and the ones that do, are very... Should I say proud? |

DaCharis2016: So sorry to hear about your health issues.
I remember Macy years back when I could not sleep at night like this. Then my uncles wife advised I should use hot water for bathing and apply Aboniki balm on my ribs. I did same and I got recovered immediately.
Try that and see if the situation may improve.
Also for the catarrh, do steaming! Add some Aboniki inside hot water and cover yourself up with wrapper while the steam of the Aboniki/hot water evaporates onto your face, breathing in the steam. Thank you very much. I'll try this remedy tonight. I was thinking I had asthma. It all started when a bone got stuck in my throat whilst swallowing. I think it tore my oesophagus or something because it gave a very sharp pain. It was a goat's bone. The next day of it was when the difficult breathing started |
Health › Difficult Breathing At Night by Bigsin(op): 10:42pm On Oct 13, 2025 |
Hi fam. For some weeks now, I’ve been having trouble breathing, especially at night. I wheeze like I’m struggling for air. I also have catarrh that keeps dripping into my throat (sputum?) and irritates my ears. Sometimes it blocks my nose and makes it hard to sleep. I’m not coughing blood, but the breathing issue and wheezing are really worrying me. There's no hospital nearby. The catarrh is kinda chronic (3 months) and is refusing to go even after taking drugs like actifed, mixagrip, procold and some cough syrups |

Then ditch airstrikes and move in with ground forces, yes hamas has done lots of damage to IDF moving on the ground but that's the best way to reduce collateral damage.
Killing civilians and starving an entire population plus destroying hospitals and unaliving journalists will put that nation in very bad light and I hate to see big beautiful Netanyahu being portrayed that way. were you paid $7000? |
Business › Re: Which Is The Best Ebook Publishing Options For Me. by Bigsin: 11:45am On Oct 02, 2025 |
EXPRESSSMAN: Hi, Nairalanders, Please I need people with experience in ebook publishing to help me out. I want to enter the ebook publishing sector. I have some Nigerian educational books and informational books on relationships, parenting, marriage success, love, and others. About 30 different tittles all developed by me. I know of Amazon publishing, Ingram, Okada, and others. I also know of setting my own site and promoting from there. As a newbie in this area, which option or combinations is good for me. I have also raised some money for the takeoff and most of the books are ready to be uploaded. Someone advised me to source out the publishing to these vanity publishers and concentrate on course creation which is part of my business models. I need some advice from those engaged in this ebook publishing. Thank you as you do so. I ventured into ebook and paperback publishing about three months ago. My desired marketplace was Amazon. I encouraged myself to take the route of an author after doing a lot of research and watching a lot of tutorial videos on YouTube. However, Amazon kept blocking my paperback, ebook and hardcovers. I mean, the books don't even go 'live' before being blocked. I used a pen name for the two books and they were college related books. You know, the "how to be the best" kinda thing. The audience I had in mind were Parents who would be convinced to buy it for their kids in Highschool or in the university. Amazon has blocked my book about 17 times. So, I gave up and tried Selar. Good gracious, I doubt if I would ever get to sell anything there (Especially to Nigerians in this present economy). I'm not a big fan of ebooks. My hope was in Amazon's paperback as they have more prompt to be bought as gifts or even by bookshop via expansion distribution. Currently, I'm at a crossroad (if that's the word for it). I took a bow from college at 300lv in '024 because of insufficient funds. Been travelling in search of greener pastures since then. Now, I'm back at mom's. I saw a post you made about writing contents and getting paid. Would you mind putting me through it please? I can work with or for you. Anyone you seem fit. I am on my own in life right now. (Except for my chickens) My English is not very bad. I think... Average. Been speaking it since I was five as mom was an English teacher. I'll be very grateful if my request is favourably considered. |

One of the 'trendy' modern ways most people read online in the West these days is via ebooks. I wonder how the buying power of Africans would be in regards to ebooks. Especially in this declining economy.
Or is it because these form of books are not heavily advertised? The closest thing to Amazon kdp I know in Nigeria is Selar.
Only ebook I've bought and read on there was confessions of a reckless college girl. It was intriguing and infuriating at the same time.

Business › Re: Begging Culture In Nigeria Commercial Hubs by Bigsin: 4:21pm On Sep 27, 2025 |
IyaTola: You're not alone in feeling this way.
What you're describing is something that a lot of people—especially younger adults who look like they "have something"—deal with, and it's frustrating. It’s not even just about being asked for money; it’s the expectation that you must give because you look decent, or because you used a smartphone, or wore clean clothes. Somehow, being young and presentable equals “you must be loaded” in their eyes. It’s draining.
And you’re right—it’s not just random people on the street anymore. It’s security guards, fuel attendants, sometimes even staff in shops or public offices—people who are on duty, paid to do a job. That constant “anything for me?” can feel like harassment, and it puts you in this weird emotional spot where saying "no" starts to feel like a crime.
What’s even more disturbing is how strategic it’s become. Like you said, they often don’t bother the older folks—they target the younger ones. There’s a kind of profiling at play. The logic is: you're young, well-dressed, maybe you have a phone that looks expensive, so you must have extra to give. But what they don’t see is the hustle, the rent, the family back home you’re supporting, or the fact that you’re just managing to keep it together.
And yes, it absolutely does make it harder to help people who genuinely need it. Because when everyone’s begging, and some are obviously gaming the system (buying weed or “colos,” like you said), how do you separate the person who skipped a meal from the one who just wants extra cash for habits?
This isn’t just a moral or cultural issue anymore—it’s a reflection of deeper systemic problems. People are underpaid, cost of living is high, unemployment is a mess. But instead of looking to fix that, what’s developing is a culture of informal taxing: people are trying to squeeze whatever they can out of those they think are better off, regardless of whether that’s true.
It’s exhausting. You're not cold-hearted for feeling irritated. You're human. You're allowed to protect your space, your peace, and your pocket. You don’t have to carry the weight of an entire broken system on your shoulders just because you wore clean shoes to the store.
But still—it's okay to have empathy and boundaries. You can care about what's going wrong in society without feeling pressured to be the solution every time someone asks for "something small." Chat ptg |
