Loving Lord and Heavenly Father, things are getting difficult throughout the whole business world, and the same is the case with my own little business. Yet I felt led by Your hand to go into this line of work some time ago, and You have been very gracious to me, for which I bless Your name. Father, I know that all things come from You and Your set-up, but You also lay aside when a job is completed.

Look down on my business Lord. Lord, it’s a failing business, for things are getting very difficult, and there are times when I wonder if I should shut the doors on this work entirely, or labour to maintain it. So Lord, I am casting this burden on You, for You have called all those that are heavy laden to cast their burdens on You and You have promised to carry them all. Praise Your name.

Lord, You know that this work is what I have been used to and I am ill-equipped to learn a new skill in this economic climate, but Father, I want to be in Your will, and so I want to hand my whole business enterprise into Your hands. I ask that You would show me what I ought to do. Lead me Lord, and guide me to do the wisest thing and give me wisdom to make the right choice. Father, my trust is in You, for all that I have is Yours and You have promised to provide all my needs, according to Your grace and riches in glory.

Amen.

So help me God

What a wonderful friend and Saviour You are Lord Jesus, for You have carried our grief, paid the price for our sin and have bestowed on us the riches of Your grace, simply because we have trusted the Lord Jesus as Saviour.

Lord, we deserve nothing and yet You have seated us in heavenly places in Christ. We are members of the household of God and citizens of heaven. And thank You, Lord, that You given us the indwelling Holy Spirit as a down-payment for our glorious inheritance in Christ, and that during our sojourn in this world You are our ever present help in time of trouble.

Pour into the hearts of all our brothers and sisters in Christ, Your perfect peace that transcends our limited understanding. Where there are trials, may we find our rest in You. Where there is discouragement, give each one Your hope. Where there is sadness, supply Your joy to each of Your children, the joy that only comes from You, for the joy of the Lord is indeed our strength. And Father, may Your love flood into the hearts of all those that are called by Your holy name.

Where there are temptations, give us Your strength to withstand in the evil day, and when we are heavy laden, may we cast all our cares upon You, knowing that You care for so deeply. Thank You, Father. In Jesus' name we pray,

Dear Lord, I pray that I may love others with a Christ-like love, and that I may show compassion on those who live in my neighbourhood. Father, I know that I need Your love and Your patience in this area as I have some quite difficult neighbours who are causing some problems here. Lord, change my heart to a heart that loves as You loved. Change my attitude to look with compassion on my neighbours, rather than with irritation of distain. Help me to view them as You do, dead in their trespasses and sins, estranged from God and in need of a Saviour.

Lord, help me to take each negative thought that I have about them captive, the moment that it arises in my heart. I know that this is pleasing to You and I know that this is what You desire of all Your children. Create in me a heart of gentle love and kind compassion and show me how I may witness of Your love, both with my actions as well as my words. Keep me from a self-righteous attitude towards them, for I know that I too was once estranged from You and in Your grace and mercy You picked me up and saved me.

Father, I pray that each one may come to a saving faith in You and that You would change me to be the neighbour that You would have me be. I ask this in Jesus' name,

Dear Lord, I know that I am commanded to abide in You and I desire to live my life day by day, simply resting and abiding in You. Teach me Lord how to abide in You, so that all that is of myself will melt away as the Spirit of Christ pulses through my being.

Give me the strength to be a fruitful branch, for You alone are my sufficiency. Enable me to abide in Your love so that I may produce much fruit, out of the abundance of Your grace. In Jesus' name I pray,

Loving Lord, I find myself in deep financial debt for the first time in my life. I have tried to be wise with my financial decision throughout my life, but the increase in the cost of basic necessities of life combined with the devaluation of our currency, has put me in a place that I never, ever expected to be.

Nevertheless, this is my situation Lord, and I do not want to bury my head in the sand by pretending that the problem is not there. Help me to face the reality that I do not have sufficient funds to meet my outgoings and guide me Lord, in the decisions that I need to make.

I confess that my heart is heavy and I do not really know which way to turn, but You are my Father and have promised to help time of need. Lord, I am in need now and am coming to You in my helplessness to ask that You will provide what I need to care form my family.

I have no one to turn to except You my Lord, and so I place my life and that of my family into You hands, trusting You to meet our needs as You have promised. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Who is my Saviour,

Dear Lord, we live in a world where honesty and integrity is severely lacking, but I want to be a wise steward of all I have, honest in all my dealings with those I come in contact and to give of my best to my employer, when it comes to money matters.

Keep me, Lord, from having a grasping attitude, but rather may I develop a generosity, combined with wisdom that only comes from You and help me to spend whatever money I have in a manner that is pleasing to You,

O Lord, I need You to be with me in the midst of the mountainous bills that seem to come every day. I feel drained and frightened and I just don’t feel that I can take any more.

I want to be responsible with my money, but less seems to be coming in than going out and I am turning to You Lord, and casting all my burdens on You, for I have come to the very end of myself.

Lord, I ask that You look down on our home with pity and send relief in a way that only You can. Help each member of the family to find the work that will provide for the finances that we need, and let not my heart be troubled, O my God. I believe in You and I know that You are my Rock in time of trouble and in the name of Jesus I ask that You give me Your strength in the midst of my financial difficulties, for I know that Your grace is sufficient.

Oh Lord I feel pretty desperate over my deteriorating finances. I know that I have been careless with my money and unwise in some areas, but I have got to the point where I don’t know what to do or  which way to turn, and the future looks incredibly bleak.

Please Lord help me to get through this difficult financial crises in my life.  I feel my situation is utterly hopeless. Help me to turn my life around and give me a fresh start I pray. God, my only hope is You and although I know that I do not deserve Your help, I ask that in the name of Jesus that You would hear my plea for help.. and guide me through this desperate time in my life.

I have been wrong to try to live my life relying on my own ability and cleverness and I confess that I have not trusted You as I ought and have followed the path that I thought best for me. Forgive me for my rebelliousness towards You and bring me through this feeling of despair and desperation I pray.  Set my feet on the secure Foundation - and I will praise You for You  are a faithful God. Dear Father in heaven, thank You that You are my God and my Shepherd and that You lead me beside still waters. Thank You, that You restore my soul and thank You that in You I have lacked no good thing.

Oh, forgive me for the times when my faith in Your gracious provision wears thin and I start to take thought for my own needs instead of casting all my cares upon Your shoulders. Thank You that when my faith does start to tremble at the knees, You remain faithful to me, for You are a good and a gracious God and I love You.

Lord, You know the difficult financial position I am finding myself in and Lord my faith feels as if it is wearing thin, for although I know that You can provide for me, little seeds of doubt keep flooding my mind.

Father dear Father, I cast all my care on You. All the cares and financial concerns that I am currently facing. Lord, I cast every one at Your feet. I confess that there is a part of me that just does not know what to do and how I am going to get through this difficult patch in my life. Nevertheless, You have promised in Your Word to supply all our needs and necessities according to the riches of Your grace, and so I cast all my burdens, including this financial concern on You.

Thank You that You are a God that hears the cries of Your children and thank You for the answer that I know is speeding on its way. Help me not to miss Your answer, knowing that You so often surprise us with an answer that we do not expect. And so, to You be all the praise and honour due, in Jesus' name,

Prayer For God’s Peace Within
Father, You have called me to be still before You, to rest in Your love and to patiently bear the cross that is set before me, knowing that You are not only at my side every moment of the day, but dwelling deep within my heart.

Help me to depend on You in all things, knowing that nights of sadness will soon be turned into mornings of joy, when You are by my side. Keep me from fretful thoughts and foolish imaginings, knowing that You are my best and heavenly Friend, my Shepherd, my Provider, my Defender and the Rock of my salvation.

Draw me every closer to Your heart of love. Quiet my spirit, still my soul and instil in my inner being Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. Help me I pray, to be still and know that You are God, my God in Whom I trust. In Jesus' name I pray,

Loving Lord, the times in which we live are getting increasingly difficult. I have many expenses that are building up and I don’t know which way to turn. There is nothing I can do to help myself and so I want to place all my financial affairs and money concerns into Your hand.

Lord, You have been my Provider over many years for which I praise and thank You, but now, as I am facing some severe debt that is building up, I ask that You replace my anxious thoughts with Your precious peace. You have said that You will keep the one whose mind is stayed on You in perfect peace.

Lord, You have told us to cast all our burdens upon You because You care for us. Today Lord, I come and give You all my financial problems and ask that You show me what to do, for I don’t know what to do, but I know my help is in You alone. In Jesus' name I pray,

O God, our Father, You are all that man’s soul, mind and spirit could possibly desire. Our problem is not in believing in You. Our problem seems to be in believing that you condescend to hear and help us. Our problem is that we do not believe we are worthy of asking Divine intervention in our puny problems of life and living. Help us to see You as Jesus would have us see and pray as He taught us to pray, saying, “Our Father …” To see You as “our Father”, full of love and compas­sion, will cause our faith to mount and our hopes to rise. Father I know that the real enemies that I face are spiritual principalities and powers and mighty spiritual wickedness in high places.. and I know that the people who rise up against me are simply the tools that are being used against me by these spiritual beings.. who seek to shipwreck my faith and cause me to lose heart and doubt Your Word, but in the mighty name of Jesus I pray that their strongholds may be smashed, and that I may be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, as I face every enemy onslaught.

Thank You for the spiritual armour that is mine in Christ and I pray that every moment of the day I may be covered in His great protection that You have provided for all who have trusted in Christ as Saviour. Thank You for the breastplate of righteousness and the shoes of peace.. the helmet of salvation and the belt of truth. Thank You that in Christ I have all that I need to stand firm against the schemes of the devil and the forces of evil. Thank You for the shield of faith which is able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the enemy.. and how I praise You that my main weapon of attack is the Word of God, which stands fast for ever and ever.

In the name of Jesus may I stand firm through prayer and praise in the evil day and be alert with all perseverance -  and having done all.. may I still stand firm in Christ – Who has won the victory over every spiritual force and every evil enemy. Thank You Father in Jesus name,

Dear heavenly Father, we live in such evil days that I pray against all enemy activities that are bing done in secret, which are designed to harm  and to destroy others. Protect Your people we pray, bring the attacks of the enemy to nothing and foil all the plans and purposes that are harmful to others..

Lord we know that it is not Your will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance in Christ, and so we pray for the souls of those that are bound by the lies and deceit of the enemy and who are being manipulated by the deception of the evil one.

We ask that in Your grace and mercy those that have been blinded to the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ by the activities of the enemy would be brought into a knowledge of the saving gospel and come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour – we ask this for His praise and glory and in Jesus name,

Precious Lord Jesus, I thank You that You are my Saviour and that You have redeemed me from the kingdom of darkness into Your glorious kingdom of Light. Lord, I know that Your Word tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength and that a joyful heart is a good and healing medicine. Lord, I pray that in Your strength, I may maintain a heart that is brimming with Your joy and one that rejoices in the God of my Salvation day by day, knowing that a broken spirit ‘dries up the bones’.

Lord, I know that You are a miracle working God, and that the greatest miracle of all that You have wrought in me, is my great salvation in Jesus Christ, Who died for me so that I might be forgiven of my sins and have everlasting life, but I also ask that You send Your mighty healing power into my body, during the time of illness that I am currently going through.

Father I pray that You would touch every organ and ligament of my body, every joint and cell and restore me to full health and strength, but I also pray that during my sickness You would touch my heart and fill it with Your love, Your grace and Your joy, for in You is the fullness of joy. Lord, You alone can flood a sick body with healing and You alone can overflow a heart with joy and peace, and so I rest my soul in You, and thank You for all the healing of body and soul that I know You are working within me. Lord, I thank You that there is nothing that happens to me or to my loved ones that You do not know about, and that no matter what takes place in our lives, You are with us all of the time.

Lord, I know that this world is not our home and that You have prepared a place in glory for all who have trusted Jesus Christ as Saviour. Thank You that however hard or difficult this life becomes and whatever befalls us, we know that what we endure through the trials of life, and the blackness and pain we may feel along the way will one day be lifted forever, when You come to take us to be with Yourself, when we will be with You in Your glorious heavenly home, for evermore.

Thank You, that the weeping of the night that we are going through during our sojourn on earth, really will end in the most joyous morning, which You have promised to all who have trusted You. I praise Your name that You have kept all our tears in a bottle for You know our sadness, and have promised to wipe away all the tears and pain that we have endured.

Lord, I do thank You that You have promised that Your grace is sufficient for all the hard times and trials that we may meet in this world. Praise Your holy name. Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that You are a gracious and merciful God, but I also know that you are also holy and righteous and cannot and will not look upon sin.

Be merciful I pray, to the nations whose leaders have turned their backs on You and the Lord Jesus Christ, Whom You sent to die for their sins. Be merciful to all those in positions of power who are seeking to implement a humanistic and anti-god agenda. Be merciful to those men and women in high places that are seeking to remove all vestiges of Christianity and the One true God from their nation’s laws and rules.

Dear Lord, You know the desire of my heart, and how You have been gently leading me to this very point in my life. Thank You, for all the lessons I have learned so far and make me willing, I pray, to continue to be ready to listen to Your gentle promptings.

Lord, I come to You as I make preparation for the next step in my life and ministry. Lord, I want to remain right in the centre of Your will and ask that by Your love and grace, You would continue to give me Your gracious promoting along my path.

As I prepare to move into this new position of leadership in this exciting ministry, keep me low before the cross. May all I say and do be guided by You alone. Keep me from hankering after the praises of men, but rather, Lord, give me a teachable Spirit that comes from You, so that I may be pleasing in Your sight.

Gracious Lord and Heavenly Father, there are many struggles that people are facing today as our freedoms are increasingly being eroded. Keep us Lord under Your protection as we seek to live our lives as unto You.

Lord, how I long to live in a world that is truly free and liberated, but Lord, help me see beyond my own limited perception of what is true liberty in this world, and to understand that my desire to see this world governed by men of integrity and goodness, is a pipe-dream that can never be realised – for we are a sinful race that lives in a fallen world, which is currently being governed by Satan, who is called, ‘the god of this world.’

Father, help all who are Your children to understand that until the Lord Jesus returns to break forever the power of this fallen world system, there will be no peace or prosperity or freedom on earth.

Thank You, that Jesus is coming back soon to right all the wrongs. Thank You, that when Jesus returns, He will proclaim freedom to the captives, recover sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed.

Help all Your people to see this world from Your perspective and pray into Your will, knowing that only when Christ returns will the earth experience true freedom. In Jesus' name,

Dear Lord, You have poured water on a dry and thirsty land. You have poured out rivers of living water into my heart and streams in the desert of my soul, and I praise and bless Your holy name.

Loving Lord, my country has forgotten You and has turned her back on You, Who are the only source of blessings. We have sown the bitter winds of wrath and are beginning to reap the whirlwind, for we have turned aside from the truth of the gospel and have tried to drink the brackish waters in the broken cisterns of our lives.

Look down in pity on my country, and may Your eyes search to and fro and seek out those that know and love the truth. And Father in Your grace and pity, pour out blessings on our land and on those that love You, for the sake of Your only beloved Son, who died to rescue us all.

Bless my land and bless my people and bless me I pray, in Jesus name,

Dear Lord Jesus, You were the one Who said, "let the children come to me for of such is the kingdom of heaven." I thank You for my children and the way that they are learning about You in their daily lives. I ask that in Your grace they may grow in wisdom and integrity and understand the importance of honesty and truth.

Give me wisdom as I teach and train them so that they learn to make the right choices and to grow closer to You each day. Lord, You promised that if we bring up a child in the way they should go then when they are older they will not depart from it. Help me to lay a good, firm spiritual foundation based on correct scriptural principles in their lives. Give me wisdom as I correct them, and keep me from expecting behaviours from them that I do not fully comply with in my own life.

Lord, I pray that they come to a true understanding of biblical standards and godly values, and that they learn to quickly acknowledge their faults while knowing that it is by Your grace that they are forgiven and by Your grace that they may grow to be more like the Lord Jesus.

Guide them into truth, and I ask that they may come to know and love You more and more Whom to know is life eternal. Help them to develop truth in the inward parts and realise the importance of integrity and honesty in all they say and do. Lord, I give my children over to You and pray that You would equip me to furnish them with all they need to grow into godly men and women. In Jesus' name I pray,

Loving heavenly Father, how I thank and praise You for the heritage and gift of children with which You have blessed me abundantly. Keep my children on the right path I pray, and prevent them from getting sucked into the way of the world and the philosophies of this age.

Each one of my children is such a treasure that You have entrusted to me to raise and nurture into the ways of the Lord. Lord, I know that my children have been lent to me from You, just as Samuel was given to his mother, Hannah – for a time.

I dedicate my children to You Lord, and ask that in my weakness you will give me the godly strength wisdom and ability to direct and advise my children in the ways of the Lord. May they come to love Your Word. May they treasure Your Word in their hearts, all the days of their lives. And may they teach Your ways to their children in the days that lie ahead.

Keep my children from temptation and help them to overcome the wiles of the evil one who will seek to trip them up.

Cover them with Your protection, and in Your grace and mercy, draw them closer to You day by day, until that reach Your everlasting kingdom. In Jesus' name I pray,

Father, as the shadows of evening draw across the night sky, I thank You that I am part of Your heavenly family and that throughout the world there is always someone that is lifting up their hands and heart to praise and worship You.

Lord, tonight I give thanks for my brothers and sisters worldwide and lift each one up, praying that You will be all that each one needs. And Lord, as I settle down for the night and lift my hands and heart to You, I pray that You would give me and all Your children the rest and refreshment that we need in the hours of darkness so that we may be ready and prepared mentally and spiritually to face the rigours of the day.

Watch over those that are sleeping, renew those that are weary, refresh those that are tired, heal those that are sick, feed those that are hungry, pity those that are affected and protect those that are in danger. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour,

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being with me today and for the fun and food and happy time I have had today. Thank You for loving me and for caring for me, and thank You for my family and friends.

Please continue to take care of me and be with me as I go to sleep, and bless all my friends and family. Look after us throughout the night and be by my side when I wake up, I pray.

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong today and ask You to forgive me. Thank You, that You never stop loving me even when I am naughty. Help me to be good. Help me to listen to my parents and obey them, and help me to listen to the wisdom of other grown-ups too.

Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me on the cross to take the punishment that I deserve for my sins and thank You for rising again so that I can go to heaven to be with You forever. Thank You Jesus,

Dear Lord Jesus, I bring before You the lives of all children who have one or other of their parents serving in the military, (or both).

Lord, I know that having teaching and training from both parents is such an important part of a young child’s upbringing, and I ask that You would protect each one from any of the emotional disturbances that can surface when children are apart from one or more of their parents, for prolonged stretches of time.

Jesus, I ask that You would be close to each and every child, for I know that children are very special to Your heart of love. I pray that homes that are in this position, will be saturated with Your love, so that children do not feel rejected or afraid. I pray that in Your grace, You would draw such children into a close relationship with You, so that many come to trust in You as their Saviour.

Protect parents of military children, and give them wisdom and love in the way that they treat their children when they return for their leave. This I ask in Jesus' name,

Oh Lord, we bring before You all persecuted Christians in so many parts of the world, and we particularly lift up their children, knowing that children can be so abused and ill-treated and used as pawns to cause their parents to falter in their faith.

Guard and protect all these little ones. Keep each one from any long-term psychological harm, emotional pain or feelings of bitter revenge that can result from the atrocities that they have had to go through and witness.

Protect every single life we pray, and we ask that You would intervene in any attempts to abduct the children of Christians and expose them to forced “corrective teaching” or “child labour” camps.

Lord, You were the one that said, "let the little children come to Me and forbid them not." I pray that each and every child that experiences some form of persecution against their faith, will be kept and protected by You, and brought at last into Your everlasting kingdom, where every tear and all pain will be wiped away, forever.

Dear Lord Jesus, things have gone from bad to worse for my brother. Lord, we were so close as we grew up together, and it grieves me to see him so desperate and forlorn. He has turned to drugs and is going into the depths of despair and Lord Jesus, it pains me so much to see my lovely brother in such a sad and sorry state.

Lord, we were raised to think that we would never get into heaven unless we were very good and did lots of good things, and we never understood that our sins have already been forgiven by the blood of Jesus, and all we have to do is to trust in Jesus as Saviour to go to heaven. We just simply need to trust that the Bible is true and that Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for the sins of the whole world, so that whoever believes in Him would not perish and go to hell. By trusting Jesus, we will be saved by His blood and be given eternal life.

Lord, my brother thinks that he is so bad that he can never be forgiven, but I know that he can. Please show him the truth of the real gospel of grace, I pray. In Jesus' name,

Heavenly Father, how I worship and praise You for Your loving kindness and goodness to each one of us. We could not draw another breath unless You gave us the power. You are indeed an awesome God and I stand in awe of You.

Lord, thank You that I am a part of the body of Christ and thank You for the many godly sisters in Christ that I have had the privilege to meet and get to know in my life. Lord, so many have come and gone and yet so many have left an indelible mark upon my life, and I just want to say thank You for all the dear sisters in Christ that have crossed my path, those that encouraged me and those that prayed for me, when I was lost in sin. Thank You for those that supported me and those that taught and trained me in the scripture to know more about You. Thank You for those that corrected me and for those that have blessed me in so many ways.

Lord, I know that although I have a lost touch with many of these dear sisters in Christ, that have had such a wonderful influence in my life, and although some have been taken to heaven already, I ask Your blessing on each and every one that is living today, wherever they may be, and pray that You would bring into each of their lives other godly women who would encourage and support them, and who would pray for them and encourage them. Thank You that one-day we will all stand before Your throne of grace and sing heavenly songs of great rejoicing together.

Thank You, Lord, for the many wonderful sisters in Christ that You have graciously placed in my life and I pray that You would give me the opportunity to similarly play the part of a ‘sister in Christ’ to others that You see fit to bring into my life. In Jesus' name I pray,
