Your problem might not be just a RAM upgrade...what's the space left on your hard drive? Do you liter your desktop? Too much clutter on your desktop hampers performance. Check your temporary directory and empty them:

Press the windows key (the key with the windows logo ) together with R and type %temp% and press enter, then delete everything in that directory/folder, do the same for %windir%\temp then empty your recycle bin and clean up your desktop if it's cluttered.

If your hard drive is running out of space, get an external hard drive and move stuff off, especially videos. If it's still sluggish, then consider a RAM upgrade. My 2cents

As Bikerboy1 said, a mail was sent 2 days ago stating that my application has been moved to the next stage, same wordings as the first mail sent before the GCATA test. It might have been a technical glitch or an actual success mail. Only time will tell.
