youngbilly1:I just want to try my luck here in Malaysia due to affordable housing, cheap transportation and other things but unfortunate I can't get a job, moreso the problem is from Malaysian Government, most of companies are willing to take foreigners ( Africans) but government policy. I got offer from a Singaporean Hospital and a Singaporean Security Company but accommodation is a very big problem in Singapore, Things are more expensive in Singapore that you cannot have savings, Anyway thanks to Monash as Australia is the next bet and getting enough good response from Australia. Wish you success and best of luck |
youngbilly1:My brother, I know what I'm saying and I am not here to demoralize anybody which I stated, moreover we're not here to argue. Malaysia is good, Malaysia is cool but I have stated my reason(s) why spending much in Malaysia without a Job. For your info, I graduated from Monash Subang JayaCampus, Bachelor of Psychological Science and I know what I'm telling you, so don't argue, Imagine after paying approximately 38k ringgit/ year, graduating to find out there is no job for Africans especially Nigerians but my friends from Sudan( North), Somalia and Eriteria are all working in Malaysia, we graduated the same year, time and my course-mates, Is this not racism, I know your school or college very well, which is known as KBU College Bandar Utama around One Utama/One World Hotel Area and in same category with KDU Kota Damansara, so bros forget that ur college, Your college just got license to University College not more than 6 or 7 years ago if I'm correct. I have searched for jobs here, so I know what I'm telling you, God luck |
youngbilly1:This is my opinion and I am not forcing it on anyone rather I am saying the reality and if you like take it and if you dont like leave it, now before i continue and I want to write out the ranking for you to see for yourself and Sunway, Taylors FUCU, AND FTMS that is suited beside Central market is not in the list of World University Ranking. Please dont even mention FUCU and FTMS, those are colleges and their certificates are not recognize anywhere even in that Malaysia, that school is for Indian Malays, so count that school out. There is no Australians coming to Malaysia to study, please get your fact right and you see the kind of foreign friends you keep, Iranians and Egyptians, whereby Egypt receives most of Malaysian Students sponsored by their government to study outside Malaysia. Most Arabs you see in Malaysia is because of how cheap and free Malaysia is, Meet your Arab friends and asked them why they are here in Malaysia and not Dubai, I keep saying it, why graduate with a University Certificate and you are not allowed to work with such certificate in same country that Issue such to you. Why asking you to leave once you are through with your studies. Brother you have never been to South Africa, I doubt and let me tell you once you are through with your studies in SA, there is a 50/50 % that you will get a job not same in Malaysia. Now Check Universities ranking and see: University of Cape Town ranked 120 best university https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2016/world-ranking#!/page/4/length/25/sort_by/rank_label/sort_order/asc/cols/rank_only University of the Witwatersrand ranked 201-250, Stellenbosch Universty ranked 301-350 University of Kwazulu-Natal ranked 401-500 University of Pretoria ranked 501-600 UKM, UPM, USM, UTM RANKED 601-800 https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2016/world-ranking#!/page/31/length/25/sort_by/rank_label/sort_order/asc/cols/rank_only UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI RANKED 601-800 but ahead of Malaysia https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2016/world-ranking#!/page/28/length/25/sort_by/rank_label/sort_order/asc/cols/rank_only University of Ibadan ranked 601-800 but ahead of Malaysian Universities https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2016/world-ranking#!/page/27/length/25/sort_by/rank_label/sort_order/asc/cols/rank_only |
I have been following this thread for long as I was deceived to study in Malaysia with hope I will get a job after my 3 years degree and Hello to everyone and this is to those who are coming to Malaysia for the purpose of studying, please think twice and ask yourself why Malaysia? First I have to sound it out to everyone here that you have your final decision to choose either to study here or somewhere else. I am not trying to demoralize any one rather I want to let you know of the reality on ground, Firstly Malaysians don't like blacks and the see all Blacks as criminals, fraudster/conmen, black money vendor, and prostitute, The don't know the difference between someone from Ghana, South Africa, African-American and Nigeria, once you're black you're Nigerian and a criminal, even those that will smile at you especially the Chinese, they are doing so because you have something financially to offer or you're always coming to their pubs with friends to drink. Malaysian degree is not even acceptable in most firm in Singapore talk more about other advanced Asian countries, Malaysians don't value their education that much and that is why their government sponsored them to study elsewhere as such you will see Malaysian Students all over the world even in South Africa. Malaysia value their certificates if you as a Malay especially wants to work in the government sector but most firms accept and value certificates from outside Malaysia more than their own certificates, so why wasting your hard earn money to study in a country, where you are not allowed to work or even do internship. In other countries like Singapore when you finish your degree you're allowed to search for work and you have 50/50 to get a job while here in Malaysia once you finish your study, Immigration and Education department will not renew your Student Visa and the will asked you to leave the country within 2 weeks whereby you fail to leave then you will become an Illegal immigrant, which is very difficult to stay in Malaysia without papers. Why waste your hard earn money when after graduating you're not allowed to work and the only place you can even try your bet is Celcom and a call desk officer with a salary of 1500 ringgit, which is a contract work of just 4-5 months and the will not file for a work permit for you. Why wasting your hard earn money to study in Malaysia when there is discrimination in housing, I mean renting a place and that is why you see Nigerians and Africans living much in Puchong, Cheras, Subang Jaya, cyber Jaya, Bukit Jali, Selayang, Kajang and only few lives in KL, if you doubt try and search for apartment, call the agent and tell him/her you're a Nigeria or African then watch his/her response which usually " owner dont want foreigner". Thirdly in other countries as a student you're allowed to work for few hours during session and work more hours during holidays period but here in Malaysia you cannot even work as a cleaner. I will advise those going to Malaysia to think twice as you will get frustrated if you're having hope of study and work or work after study....., If your upkeep money is not coming from Nigeria then you're doomed and will be forced to go either way of illegal means of survival, which 90% of those living in Malaysia are into. The only business you see Nigerians doing here selling African things or operating and opening of African restaurant, which you must get married to their locals before you can. Please save your money and find somewhere else to study and work. Malaysian Universities are not even among the 200 Universities in University Ranking. |
