Hmmm why is he requesting for a return, he should ask for damages they robbed him of having to meet with the President. Which could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Ofcourse, the return is the first step to ensure he has more legal claim to huge damage

I read what they wrote there bro.
Why give out someone's work without getting his consent?
To think it's the NBA that made this blunder makes it even more embarrassing.
They went and presented it as if the portrait and the idea behind it is there own.
Its even worse because, they had earlier turned down the portrait and told the owner that the president won't receive it without first informing the president.

Oladele also shared copy of a letter written by barrister Femi Falana's chambers, Falan & Falana's Chambers demanding a return of the president's portrait to the originator.

Group urges EFCC to begin fresh prosecution of Senate President Bukola Saraki and others over looting of N15Billion and $13million
https://mrrightsng..com.ng/2018/02/group-urges-efcc-to-begin-fresh.html

Kwara Must Change and the entire people of Kwara State were awakened once again on Monday 19th February 2018 to the most shocking report of how over N15 Billion and $13 million belonging to the Kwara State people was looted by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki through 88 lodgement of N80 million by aides and other yet to be identified persons into the personal bank account of the former Kwara State Governor.

In the report by Sahara reporter, it was stated that Nigeria's anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has told a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State, how aides and other yet to be identified persons lodged cash and other monetary instruments totaling N15 billion and $13 million into the personal account of Senate President Bukola Saraki when he was governor of Kwara State. The agency said the peak of the suspicious lodgments was on October 26, 2009, when 88 different persons lodged the sum of N80 million into the account of the Senate President.

Kwara Must Change is not in anyway surprised about this development because we know the extent of looting that took place during the administration of Senator Bukola Saraki while serving as Kwara State governor and the kind of looting still taking place now under Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed.

This is why we have alerted the nation long ago that irrespective of how mind blowing a looting exposition about Bukola Saraki is, what you have been seen or heard is still nothing compared to what is yet to be exposed and the damage done to Kwara State is far and beyond public imagination.

Kwara Must Change state with all sense of conviction that more revelations will emerge about the looting of Kwara patrimony and we urge all kwarans not only to express dissatisfaction with the culprits, but act to prevent future re-occurrence of such, by punishing all those involve in this criminality.

We urge the anti graft agency to kindly proceed with its investigation to uncover more facts about the matter. As a matter of necessity, we urge EFCC to begin a fresh prosecution of Senator Bukola Saraki over this new revelation and ensure justice.

We commend EFCC’s effort in trying to help Kwara State retrieve its stolen wealth and assure them of the support of all good people of Kwara.

As we approach the 2019 election, we remind the people that this is another opportunity to get it right. Looters and those who deprive people of their means of livelihood should not be allowed to continue to be in charge.

KWSG self indicting on cash payment for workers, KMC says
https://mrrightsng..com.ng/2018/02/kwsg-self-indicting-on-cash-payment-for.html

Kwara Must Change feels bewildered and surprised that the Kwara State government can attempt to justify its shameless cash payment to workers in this digital age.

This shameless justification was contained in a statement by the state government via its facebook page, while reacting to Kwara Must Change accusation on the matter, urging it to stop the practice henceforth.

In a statement via Facebook, the Kwara State government had said with reference to the State Ministry of Justice and other MDAs, only traveling allowances and other petty transactions are cash-based while all other payments are done electronically.

We find this statement self indicting and call on the state government to put a stop to the practice with immediate effect.

It is important to state that, Kwara Must Change is not unaware that workers salaries are paid via electronic means, what we contended and still contending is the rationale for paying workers allowances by cash. We reiterate that paying workers allowances in cash is tantamount to leaving room for fraud and corruption, which we believe is being perpetrated by government appointees. This is so because, workers are asked to sign on sheet of papers without having any clue on how much is claimed in their names. In other word, different amount is paid cash as allowances, while different amount is claimed.

By admitting to paying training, travel and other allowances in cash, our point has already been made and we fault the practice. It is our contention that, there is no arguement in this world that can justify paying workers allowances in cash when it can easily be paid via the electronics system. We maintain that the only rationale for this cash payment is fraud and corruption and we want it to stop with immediate effect.

6. Over N2 trillion unremitted funds
Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) have failed to remit about 2 trillion naira into federal government coffers. Information from the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation shows that, all Federal Governments Statutory Corporations, Commissions, Authorities and Agencies mostly do not submit their annual accounts and audited reports. This is in violation of the provisions of Section 85 (3) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”#BuhariMustAct

7. Budget Padding
The source of every corrupt practice in public institutions starts from the budget. The fiscal document is prepared to include corrupt tendencies and unassuming figures that are hardly detected by the management of an organization who are the sole recipients of the corrupt proceeds. These are evident in the budgets of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) in Nigeria; for instance, MDAs always budget for medical expenses for their staff despite being covered under National Health Insurance Scheme social contribution services. #BuhariMustAct

8. Secret Recruitment
Millions of Nigerian men and women are denied equal opportunities in recruitment's. Illegal recruitment into the Federal Civil Service, the catalyst of bloated wage bills and recurrent expenditures, is still flourishing. From CBN, SSS, FRSC, NNPC and others, illegal and secret recruitment continue to take place. #BuhariMustAct to stop it

9. Tool in the hand of politicians
No corrupt politicians could embezzle money without involving public officials, especially in the MDAs and parastatals. They are the catalyst to massive looting and mismanagement of public resources. #BuhariMustAct

10. Failure in MDG and budget implementation
Massive corruption in various ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) are the main reasons Nigeria could not achieve her Millennium Development Goals (MDG) targets. It is also the reason why we have contentiously failed to implement our budgets. MDAs such as the health ministry, water resources ministry and the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) mismanaged hundreds of billions of naira meant to specifically help Nigeria achieve the MDG targets. #BuhariMustACt

10 reasons why President Buhari Must Act on Corruption in MDAs
https://mrrightsng..com.ng/2018/02/10-reasons-why-president-buhari-must.html

1. MDAs forces people to be corrupt
The most corrupt and terrible places for corruption in Nigeria are the federal ministries, departments and agencies. A simple transaction that should take a day or two, could take several months if you do not go around to ‘see’ those who should move file from one desk to the other. #BuhariMustAct to stop it

2. MDAs waste govt resources on bogus projects
Nigerian Ministries, Agencies and Departments, MDAs, waste an estimated N37.8 billion due to bogus and failed IT projects. Most agencies of government see projects as the easiest way to steal government money. About 90 per cent of MDAs’ IT projects fail annually while the remaining 10 said to be successfully implemented does not deliver any value for money for the government. #BuhariMustAct

3. The racket of ghost workers
Federal Government lost more than N120Billion annually on ghost workers. The figure will definitely increase as government continues to unravel more ghost workers buried deep in Federal Civil Service payrolls. Those responsible for these shaddy deals have not been prosecuted. #BuhariMustAct

4. Inflation of contracts
Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) connived with heads of MDAs and private contractors to inflate contracts, to the detriment of the Federal Government. Monumental corruption is going on in the BPP. That is where we have the contracts that are supposed to be awarded at N20 million, but awarded at N200 million. Procurement is responsible for over 70 percent of corruption in Nigeria. To get the fight against corruption right, we must also get our procurement very correct. BPP is failing to perform mandatory post-procurement audit and corrupt issuance of certificate of no objection. #BuhariMustAct to stop it

5. Fraud and Stealing from the sick
The insurance companies and the MDAs regularly connived to defraud the Federal Government yearly in insurance premiums - running into billions of naira. While most insurance firms receive premiums in excess of the amount due to them from the MDAs, the heads of MDAs later retrieve the overpaid premiums and convert them to private use. #BuhariMustAct to stop it

When military were useless By Abdulrazaq O Hamzat
https://mrrightsng..com.ng/2018/02/when-military-were-useless-by.html

The hate we instigate against each other will not consume the land we live on, the tribe we belong or the religion we practice, it would only consume us, the people, irrespective of tribe, region or religion.

Although, I may not be able to tell you how we could solve the herdsmen problem, but i know how we won’t ever solve it.

Instigating hate against each other will never solve the problem. This is something we all know, yet we continue to do the same thing over and over again. That's bad.

Some myopic people are quick to claim that division is a way out. But what do they know? I will only refer them to India and Pakistan. India and Pakistan have hated each other for more than 70years. Here is why. The British colonized Indian for more than 200 years and Indians weren’t happy about it. All the people’s rage were directed at the British and to put stop to such rage, British had an idea, ‘’divide and rule’’. What does that mean?

Muslims against Hindu’s, against Sikhs, against Christians. They put minorities in positions of power over majorities. The idea was, if you are fighting each other, you won’t have the time to fight the British.

This is not to say that Indians don’t fight each other before the coming of British over religion, but it is the first time that they fight over policy. Religion became more important than language and ethnicity and mistrust between religious communities became the norm.

Indian politician like the Muslim League Muhammad Jinah talked about having a separate Muslim state if the British would ever leave. Then, World Ward I began. The British promised to leave if the Indians fought for them in the war and they did. While they fought as agreed, British failed to fulfill it promise of granting them independence.

Then 20 years later, World War II started. Again, there was a promise of independence if the Indians fought for them, but the Indians say no way. This time, leaders like Mahatma Ghandi and Jawaharlal Nehru said no. However, Jinah, the Muslim league leader wanted a British support for a separate Muslim Country, so he convinced Indian Muslims to fight for the British and they did. By the time World War II ended, it was clear that the British would leave and grant India its independence.

Many Muslims began to fear living under the Hindu majority in a democratic India and many Hindu were angry that Muslims wanted to break up the country. This descended into brutal acts like killings, forced conversion, abduction, arson, rape and ethnic cleansing. The magnitude of this crisis scared the British and they promised to leave India in 1948, but their exit from India was not going to be clear or peaceful. The religious division they have stoked had turned into an inferno.

Jinah seized this opportunity to demand for a separate Muslim state. Nehru also scared by the violence reluctantly agreed. Mahatma Gandhi opposed it, but it was already too late. Thinking they had fixed things, the British announced they would now leave in 1947, a year earlier than planned. The British brought in a man, Cyril Radcliffe to divide the country. Cyril, who is a lawyer draw a border that would split India into two (2), taking into consideration religion, railway, water, irrigation canal and others. The lawyer was given 36 days to complete this task, which he did, 3 days ahead of schedule, but the lines that created West Pakistan, India and East Pakistan were kept secret until after independence.

Radcliffe didn’t quite finish his job though; he didn’t draw a line for Kashmir, a territory within India and Pakistan. What could possibly go wrong? Well, on August 14 1947, Pakistan gained Independence and a day later, India also gained Independence. Partition had become a reality.

However, if you think the story has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention. Here is the catastrophe that Radcliffe’s border line created on ground.

7 million people moved from India to Pakistan and another 7 million people moved from Pakistan to India. In the process, over 1 million people were killed, murdered, starved or poisoned. Mobs lynched trains full of people, men, women and children. Families have been split apart till this day. The military of the 2 countries were practically useless; soldiers were struggling to survive on their own due to the magnitude of the catastrophe.

From that day, August 1947 till today, the dust of violence has yet to settle. Since then, India and Pakistan have fought 3 wars over Kashmir and one war over East Pakistan, which eventually became Bangladash. Both countries still fight over disputed border and water. These wars drove both countries to become nuclear powers. Even cricket match between them are politically charged. And over 70 years, the divide between people who look the same, speak the same language, dress the same, eat the same food and even sing the same song have become deeper.

To the war mongers in Nigeria, learn from history. To the hate instigators, think again.

When there is a problem like that of herdsmen we are currently facing, trading ethnic and religious blame is not the way out. Instigating one ethnic group against the other is also not a way out. We must adopt the joint problem solving technique to come up with a creative solution.

By cursing, abusing and insulting others, you didn't do anything unique of special. Every one could easily cause and abuse. Even mad men on our streets are specialist in cursing and abusing. Trying to outdo each other is the use of vulgar, instigating and abusive languages only brought our sanity into question, nothing special really. We must demonstrate that we are better than the mad men on the street, we must bring solution, not dissolution.

As for our government, which has proven over and over again that it is incompetent and not responsible enough to perform its duty, you are a disappointment.
