Nigerian's have still not understood that military officials are subject to civil law within civil spaces, and cannot be seen to be obstructing government officials from performing jobs within their jurisdiction.

If it was a normal civilian, and not a military person with guns to fight Wike and his goons, what would you recommend they do in this situation?

Would you tell them to grandstand, and be telling government officials performing their duties to go and write through official channels before they'd obey a "STOP WORK" order?

I mean Wike and his goons are the official channel in question , and if the military guys have issues with their interpretation of the law, it's to escalate or take to another official channel that would give them listening ear...not to grandstand.

Before WIke came there in-person, whatever communication they give to every other person they gave those guys, it was becuase they refused to listen that WIke came in-person, and they too anticipated it by placing military boys "on order" because they had no intention of acknowledging what was already communicated to them.

They are not trying recently with news but they are a lot more than news. They have million radio channels, local TV stations, and as far as education, learning materials for kids writing exams, Sports, history etc, they do a lot. Those guys have even revived 2 extinct languages - Welsh and Gaelic using BBC to where millions are speaking those languages now when hardly anyone could speak them before. I even passed all my GCSEs just by recording and watching their GCSE videos without opening any book. The only book I opened was Maths, Physics and Chemistry. BBC videos did the rest including Biology and all the MASSCOM courses.

The 1st time i went back home after several years, my dad came to pick me, but his driver was driving. I counted several traffic infractions by the guy, other drivers, keke, bike riders, pedestrians, all within a few minutes of leaving the airport. I just stopped looking around after a while.

I no fit drive for that place again.

Traffic compliance only work when the likes of VIO, FRSC, LASTMA,NPF,etc., get information about government visits. The rest of the week, those folks just drive with krazee throttles and make ab.normalcy a norm.

You should see Benin, Abuja guys are also becoming something else.

When driving, people have this attitude of " If u Don overtake me, u Don overtake me for life be that " when driving.

Most of the car bashings you see on the road are caused by this attitude. Although some motorists can really be annoying, but the need to always want to claim right dey cause most accidents involving plenty drama.

Me I just don't see the sense in dragging right of way with all these kekeguys who are almost always broke .

Around February this year I was inside Uber on the way to the airport. That was how Uber guy just foolishly tried to pass a T-junction at the same speed he was coming without slowing down. Unfortunately for him, one guy wanted to merge into the road with his Lexus RX 350.

Na so the Lexus guy ram into our vehicle by the driver's side and condemned the door right there. My Uber guy that refused refused to slow down at the junction now has his day messed up. The Lexus guy accepted liability to fix the Uber and asked him to follow him to his mechanic ; but my guy's day was already ruined.

I had to end the trip and order another Uber and was at the risk of being late for my flight. I left them there sorting themselves Sha.

My wife who was in the Uber with me was sympathetic with the Uber guy but I told her the Uber guy was the fooolish one. The Lexus guy apparently just bought the vehicle and isn't skilled at driving yet, but if our own Uber guy had just exercise little patience by slowing down he won't be spending the whole day having his car fixed.

If you merge into a major road and a car behind you rams into your back the only way you can prove you are not at fault is if you can prove the car was going above speed limit.

Most times If you hit someone from rear while driving, it is automatically assumed you are at fault . You are expected to have functional braking system which you should apply before you hit the other vehicle from rear whether he's driving slow or not.

That being said, considering you mentioned the keke entered the express recklessly one can't but wonder how the car ended hitting the keke from rear and not the side.Perhaps the car driver was trying to do everything within his might to prevent the keke from merging into the lane (normal Lagos driver strong head) and it led to damage of his vehicle.

Las Las most keke riders no dey hold money like that and irrespective of who is judged the guilty party, the car owner may not recover much from the keke rider. He will end up fixing his car by himself. Normally, when you hit some one from behind, you are deemed to be at fault. But knowing how reckless these keke drivers can be, I will lean to the side of the Camry driver.

Keke and korope drivers makes driving irritating. They always believe they can fit into every small space. And the kind speed they(especially keke) manueuver their way into your front will have you matching the break impulsively...or you hit them. They have nothing to lose. Na your car go suffer the damage.
