Yes, Christians are supposed to observe the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a sign between God and all human creatures; it is not like the covenant God made with Abraham that was ratified between God and ancient Israel. And yes, the Sabbath is a Saturday.

Unfortunately, we do not observe the Sabbath because we are a product of bad history; a product of human error and mischief. FYI, I am neither a member of Seventh Day Adventist nor a member of any other Christian sect that are strict Sabbatharians (don't know if I spelled that correctly) but I think they are dead right on this subject of Sabbath observance.

Yes, while the born again is not under the dispensation of the law and the prophets; yet, it seems the born again, like the non born again, is not allowed to kill, murder, or commit other vices which are the foundation of the laws God gave Moses. How do we harmonize this?

Flip your bible to Exodus 20 and tell me if there is any, or just one of the Ten commandments that the born again Christian is permitted to absolve himself of, if there is none, so why should Sabbath observance be done with, or is it not one of the Ten Commandments?

Priests under the old covenant did not profane the Sabbath. They were doing God's work which is actually what the Sabbath denotes, so if Christ was healing on the Sabbath, he wasn't profaning the Sabbath because he is doing God's work.

If God said, "Hey, you, come here. Stay here and do so-and-so every Saturday," and says to another, "Hey, you come here. Stay there and do so-and-so every Saturday," would you argue that either or both of us have profaned the Sabbath?

A day God pronounced as sacred before there was any religion is not comparable to God's redemptive plan for the human race in Christ Jesus. Our problems as Christians is that we want to do away with everything hitherto because Christ has saved us from our sins and God has accepted him as sacrifice. I'd remind you that the Sabbath was made sacred before even man sinned.

We were never at any point instructed to do away with the Sabbath. I think early Christians, all of them, observed the Sabbath. I have not studied this subject, but I can confidently tell you that God never abrogates his laws.
