Ever paid a visit to the bioluminescent beach of the Maldives. The waves glow at night, looking like some fairyland. The creatures underwater which created the color were mistaken to be plankton but they are actually ostracod crustaceans”. The ostracods emit light for a larger period than the plankton. Do pay a visit and soothe your eyes.

The world is an amazingly crazy place to explore. One moment something amazes you and the next moment something else. It is sad that we just have this one life to explore all the strange and exciting places on earth. So, here we have a list of ten amazingly strange things that are happening around the world so that you can include it on your bucket list. Here we go.

UNDERWATER WATERFALL

The underwater waterfall is an amazing yet scary to look at illusion, created on an island of the Republic of Mauritius. It is a breathtaking sight and looks like a fairyland. It is created because local sand and silt deposits flow around the area and fluctuate the color of the water, making it appear like a waterfall heading to nowhere. Though an illusion, it looks real even from satellite pictures.

Sexuality can be expressed in the form of an art and interpreted in a variety of ways. While many are afraid to express themselves, a Swiss performance artist Milo Moire put herself on the line to teach people a thing or two about a hot-button issue – consent.

This is the story of a woman who is letting people grope her breasts and vagina to fight against sexual violence and rape.

The Mirror Box

Moire’s recent public art performance involved dressing up in what she referred to as a mirror box and she then took to the streets with an enclosed box covering her privates. That appeared strange but the piece is a complex statement about sex, and of course, consent.

You can see the box is covering her breasts and in another performance, it’s covering her vagina.

The Swiss Performer then walked up to random strangers – both men and women – inviting them to touch her breasts and vagina through the openings in the boxes.

While the event was going on, there were cameras within the boxes to record the entire experience.

As per ATTN, Moire exclaimed, “I am standing here today for women’s rights and sexual self-determination. Women have a sexuality, just like men have one. However, women decide for themselves when and how they want to be touched, and when they don’t”.

Rules

There were rules for those who touched her – they couldn’t touch her for more than 30 seconds and a bunch of people who accepted her offer respected her wish.

The performance was meant to create a line for consent. According to her, she laid down the rules, gave her consent, and allowed strangers to touch her. This may sound strange but her performance seemed to have proven that people respond well to boundaries.

"Message for the Society"

Talking to ATTN, Moire explained that,

“‘The Mirror Box’ performance states that women are equal partners in sexuality, not only receivers. Just like a man, I also have the power and the right to possess a sexual nature, and I have to agree before we can have sex.”
