Euroclydon: I intend getting a Nissan Maxima 2004 model and i want to know what you guys think about the ride... Is it problematic? Cost of parts? Cost of maintenance? What should i know pls or take note of pls?

It's a great car that drives well with a V6 engine. I really enjoyed driving it. But the owner told me the maintenance cost was quite high. The car uses basically murano parts. So you can ask people who use Murano about parts and maintenance.

Overall, it really is a great car which i believe you can use for luxury, but not an everyday car, unless you can handle the cost involved.

[/quote]I won't advise anyone to follow steps 2 and 3 above.

The safest option is to use engine braking.

If your car is a manual, leave the car on whatever gear you are on and take off your legs from d pedals. The car would reduce speed itself automatically and very quickly(that's engine braking).

If your car is an automatic, do same. Just that the vehicle speed reduces faster with a manual car than an automatic car.

You can practice this with your car and see the effect.
