Sapasenator: I have to be precious to her and vice versa and, the term precious, when used in a marital setting, is a tad bit subjective. What is precious today may not be tomorrow and there are no certainties in life. We only have the moment to enjoy ourselves. You are a master at turning straightforward questions into what they are not. I admire this skill and admit defeat. I will not keep arguing. Thank you for the stimulating conversation. |

Sapasenator: I won't!
I will simply divorce and walk away if not satisfied with the arrangement. No big deal honestly. i don't know why our ladies are throwing a hissy fits about a Muslim man exercising his options of a second wife. You didn't answer my question, not really. If your wife is precious to you, ticks all the right boxes, has given you kids, is very beautiful and has been married to you for ten years; would you be okay if she just woke up one morning and asked for a divorce? Her reason being that you do not 'meet her needs' any longer. |

Sapasenator: Let's be sincere here: how could the answer be "yes" if the man in question didn't even know he would have different needs? say, ten years into the marriage, perhaps the objectives for marrying are not being met. The man will have four options:
1.Divorce the woman. 2.Marry a second wife (if the man is a Muslim). 3.Run away from home. 4.Get a side cheek.
The wife also has the option to opt for a divorce if she strongly objects to her husband taking a second wife.
Now, all marriages start with the vow "for better or worse," but you must agree that over time, couples often grow apart, and different needs arise for both the man and the woman that weren't there at the beginning of the relationship. This is when the man must look inward and decide the best option to pursue.
Taking a second wife is a very valid option. But most of y'all would frown at polyandry if it was widespread, wouldn't you? Let's scatter this table. Would you like it if your wife of ten years who is 'meeting all your needs' suddenly asks for a divorce and goes to get another man because you don't meet hers? Would you like it, abi you go craze for am? |

Sapasenator: How will he know except he has some mystical ability to see into the future? By your own admission, I can equally infer that every man who will divorce his wife in 10 years will know today before the marriage. Would you agree with me? Ah, sorry, my brain is paining me right now. I don't have the strength to argue. |

Every man who wants to marry a second wife knows he will do so even before marrying the first. Any other thing being told to you is a fat lie! |

You do know it's harder to maintain your natural hair with braids and whatnot. Women put on wigs because it's less stress. When you're having a bad hair day, wig it. When you don't have the money to plait your hair, wig it. |

Princedapace: Have u asked why Yorubas arent everywhere even though it is still their own country?
It is simply because we have not made our own region beautiful and enticing enough. Yorubas would rather travel out of Nigeria than migrate to the east. To do what exactly? I am just pointing out why every one insult we Igbos, even Kogi dey abuse us, Ikerre dey abuse us, Yorubas, Rivers, practically everyone. It is becus we have abandoned our own region to be flying up and down in another man's land I do understand where you're coming from, but if they're insulting us, then that's their problem. Like I said before, I am Nigerian. Every land is my land. I rest my case. |

Princedapace: Even though I be Igbo, Igbos love lagos scatter no wonder they insult us every day. Yorubas travel less to Igbo lands, that is why they insult us. Infact, many yorubas dont even know how the east looks like. The same way there are far fewer South Africans in Nigeria, that is why they insult us too. Take it or leave it, it will always be so. Even if u destroy all Igbos properties in lagos, they will rather die than leave Lagos Check all my posts, I have always fought for Igbos. But this one now that I said is pure truth. And until we stop this, no one will respect us. We are everywhere And why shouldn't we be everywhere? Is this not our country? |
