Politics / Press Release: Pan-african Group Stands Against The Attack Of Mugabe In Nigeria! by BlackRevolution(m): 9:43pm On Jun 13, 2015
Pan-African Consciousness Renaissance (PACOR)

13th June, 2015

PRESS RELEASE: WHEN ABSURDNESS REIGNS; THE SHOCKING ATTACK OF THE ZIMBABWEAN SITTING PRESIDENT; ROBERT MUGABE ON THE 29TH OF MAY, 2015 BY NIGERIAN SAHARA REPORTERS PERSONNEL.

It is with utmost resentment that the above named Afrocentric non-governmental organization wish to bring to the notice of your media outlet the indecent, disgusting and unprofessional demonstration by some embryonic, wannabe journalists corresponding for the famed unethical, incompetent online media outlet; Sahara Reporters, on the 29th of May, 2015.

This release would never have surfaced had not been that the misguided reporters and management of the said media outlet are yet to be remorseful about their appalling confrontation of Robert Mugabe, the sitting President of Zimbabwe, at the Eagle Square, Abuja, during the Inauguration of the newly elected President, Muhammadu Buhari. Outside the fact that Robert Mugabe is the current President of Zimbabwe, he is as a matter of fact the current President of the African Union.

To have attained such importance among the committee of African countries, statesmen clearly speaks of the overwhelming, uncompromising supports the Zimbabwean President have been lending over the years towards the liberation of the rank and file of the Black World. In fact, as a revolutionary organization, we made prognoses years back that Robert Mugabe beyond any reasonable doubt was the best African statesman to ascend the office of the President of African Union.

We made this prognosis not only against the background of how Mugabe over the years has been able to redistribute his country’s wealth judiciously but also on the basis of how much he has been leading the frontline in the struggle for the unity of all Africans in the diaspora with their source, Africa. To be candid, all these covert attributes to us have earned Mugabe the well-deserved appellation, “Our Only Black African President”.

It therefore came as a complete shock to us that a man like Robert Mugabe, which in actuality the Black World as a whole should hold in high esteem, was viciously confronted by some journalists in Nigeria. The confrontation by these journalists not only brought shame to the journalism profession globally but also to the country’s new President and the country of Nigeria in entirety. It is of our contention that these journalists attacked Mugabe for the purpose of playing their marionette roles perfectly to placate their paymaster.

It will be wishful thinking to postulate that these journalists did what they had to do under the influence of freewill. Because of our tremendous understanding of our social realities and conditions as Africans, as a race, we have no difficulty in unmasking the truth behind the actions of these journalists. The actual fact is that the Western world led by the United States for so many years have been leading series of campaigns towards the disintegration of Zimbabwe since Robert Mugabe denounced White Supremacy in his country starting with the land redistribution policy in the year 2000.

It will be shocking to know that a great chunk of black people in Zimbabwe prior to 2000 were living at the lowest, in abject poverty, while a handful of White folks who owned the most fertile lands in Zimbabwe were living in fabulous wealth. This policy whose impact within just the span of two years skyrocketed the economy of Zimbabwe into one of the major freest economies in the world, as food production drastically bloated, sparked perverse reactions from the Western world.

To undermine the Black Populist programmes of Mugabe which are deeply rooted in Black ownership, the Western countries have refused to trade with Zimbabwe; undue sanctions have been placed on the country for years now. Yet, to the greatest surprise of even Western economists, Zimbabwe still remains one of the fastest growing economies in Africa and in the world.

But it will be ignorant to posit that the Western governments through their media outlets have not been managing the true nature and character of the improvement in the economy of Zimbabwe since 2000. Through their bogus, bourgeois media outlets, the CNN, BBC, of the world, the Zimbabwean economy has been extremely considered worthless.

Truth be told; the continuous conspiracy against the economic rise of Africa and Black people globally, day in day out continues to flex its muscle. Of which at the moment, following the ascension of Mugabe as the new President of the African Union, the Western conspirators against Africa’s development have never been more fearful of the possibility of an African liberation. In the acceptance speech of Mugabe as the African Union President, he declared that his tenure by all means necessary will see to the economic unification of global Africans, he declared war against Africa’s neo-colonial economic imperialism and puppetism on the soil.

One does not have to be a soothsayer before hypothesizing that the Western world will never contend with the aspirations of Mugabe for Africa without putting up a stiff battle.

It will be recalled that prior to the gruesome murder of the ever gallant African nationalist, Muammar Gaddafi by the American led NATO support rebellious group in Libya in the year 2011, Gaddafi was known to have clearly stipulated his aspirations towards liberating Africans just like Robert Mugabe recently did. But that was to what end? The Western countries shortly after Gaddafi publicly made known his intentions began to plan his demise, using all means including African media outlets.

At the invasion of Libya and the eventual murder of Muammar Gaddafi, it will be shocking to note that a great chunk of Africans eagerly applauded the Western invasion. It is therefore not coming as an utmost surprise to us that the Western world since the acceptance speech of Robert Mugabe, more than before, are now eagerly working on the possible demise of the Zimbabwean President, just like they did with the former Libyan Head of State.

The propaganda more than before has been intensified because at the moment, a great chunk of Africans, just like the ignorant journalists that confronted Mugabe at Abuja, perceived him as a brute, sadistic dictator. Perhaps these already hoodwinked Africans have no idea whatsoever that just like most countries in the international system; the Zimbabwean government periodically conducts elections. It will be of interest to note that in the 2013 Zimbabwean general elections, the incumbent, Robert Mugabe, made away with 61.09% of the total votes in one of the freest and fairest elections in Africa, but of course the Western media thinks otherwise.

Nevertheless, to still undermine the sovereign right of Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans as a whole, the Western world has been leading heavy campaigns that the Mugabe led government is undemocratic. This is perhaps the most laughable accusation the Western governments have ever had to come up with. These elements will allege that because Mugabe is running his seventh term as the President of Zimbabwe thus the government is undemocratic, whereas in the constitution of the country, just like it is with some European countries like Germany, there is no stipulated term for the Presidency.

A clear indication of how much the Western world has intensified their propaganda recently to neutralize both the person of Mugabe and his aspirations, can be drawn from the vicious manner in which he was attacked by the Nigerian Sahara Reporters personnel in Abuja. In the short video clip in which many of us could not contend with, the reporters with no sense of decency accosted President Robert Mugabe and demanded forcibly from him when he was going to step down as if he was not elected into the office.

But these questions in about some moments switched to confrontations, as these elements kept finding means to throw themselves at the President while he was walking in the midst of his escort. The confrontational issues raised by these pseudo-journalists are not only shameful but irrational. The President was waylaid with taunts like is Zimbabwe democratic, one of the reporters out of ignorance even went as far as positing that is it not ironic that Mugabe was attending an inauguration in Nigeria, yet he continued to rule Zimbabwe.

The video clip is so embarrassing that one cannot help it but imagine the level of degeneracy in our society. These reporters dishonourably displayed rascality of the highest order, the female reporter even commented to the face of the President that he may die in office tomorrow. While we are condemning this show of shame by these reporters, we cannot but help to wonder how in the world did these clowns earn such privileges to be that close to the invited guests of the Presidency and then, where were the Nigerian security services just about when Mugabe and his handful followers were making their way out of the venue.

These are plausible questions that perhaps we will never get answers to, but then all this sums up our position that the attack of the Zimbabwean President in Nigeria was nothing but a conspiracy; it was well organized to set in motion the agenda of the Western powers to suppress Africa’s liberation. Of which to make sure that Mugabe is being clamped down upon, the African bourgeois media outlets are now being goaded by the Western countries. It is important to note that this particular online media outlet has its base in New York, United States, a country that has been leading the campaign vigorously for the destabilization of Zimbabwe for a decade now.

Our organization is not about setting African countries against each other because we are certain that the liberation of an African country will be meaningless if the liberation of other African countries is not achieved. We therefore call on all existing media outlets in the country, whose basic objectives are deeply rooted in upholding the ethics of journalism and in fair reportage to come out publicly and denounce the treatment of the sitting President of Zimbabwe, the person of Robert Mugabe by some personnel of the online media outlet, Sahara Reporters, on the 29th of May, 2015 at the Eagles Square, Abuja, during the newly elected President, Muhammadu Buhari’s inauguration. Because this video clip has gone viral, we therefore endear our media outlets to help propagate our demands from the management and staffs of the Nigerian owned online Sahara Reporters.

OUR DEMANDS FROM SAHARA REPORTERS
1. As a matter of urgency, the management of Sahara Reporters must come up with an apology letter directed to the Zimbabwean Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, in respect of the attack of Robert Mugabe on the 29th of May, 2015 in Abuja, Nigeria.
2. This apology letter must also be copied to major media outlets in the country and beyond for publication.
3. The current Zimbabwe’s Minister of Information, Prof. Jonathan Moyo must be copied also in order to certify the safety of Nigerians residing in Zimbabwe.
