abitafah: Hmmm, partners won't understand anything until they get on the road and drive demselves. If u know d kind of work these cars do daily, u would pity the car. I have already condemned my car to be only good for uber business and not for private use again. If I get a job,I would just sell it off and get another one for private use. These cars can never remain the same again after 4 months usage. Now, I can't even save from it again as the income only settles household expenses and vehicle repair expenses. You can only enjoy the business for the little time u started it and with a good car. After few months, the workload would have taken its toll on the car and u get to visit the mechanic, rewire and panel beater on a weekly basis(exhaust pipe leakage). Those that give their cars out on HP are lucky because by the time the driver is done paying up, the car would already be a trash. My personal experience HP is the best option for owner that want peace of mind |

Impulse80: Hello everyone, abeg make una advise me. I just finished school and would like to go about this Uber driving but i don't know how to familiarize myself with Lagos, being from the south east?
Please how much of Lagos roads do i have to know before i can be considered for a car by an owner?
N.B I've been driving for two years now. is it true that u hv been to hell? Your signature is funny bro. You will get use to Lagos road if you can navigate with map efficiently. Its not that difficult, some of the riders will direct you to where they are going if ure humble |

dawg2002: Hello guys, fine Uber has sort of made it difficult for guys to break even with their price reduction and also the amount they deduct from the trip earnings is quite high.
But truth be told the attitudes of drivers aren't different from Uber as an organization, cause most partner driver are only out to look for what they can get 100% , while they jump to the next car once they are done wrecking your car.
Have only joined Uber as owner/partner for roughly 3months, gave the car to a supposed experienced e-hailing cab driver, started with N40k per month after just 2 weeks said he cant cope that the e-hailing thing is not that profitable as it used to be...
He negotiated N35k, which I agreed, fast forward to yesterday, he has dropped the car(2011 TOYOTA COROLLA) with my mechanic. Why? two front shock absorbers are gone, engine seat dismantled. I surely wld fix the car and keep it moving.
Information I got is that dude is out there looking for the next vehicle to ride...
How is he different from Uber as company that's out here to maximize their profit, and him that his only concern is to make money at the detriment of someone else's hard earned money.
LETS ALL BE FAIR. all of them are the same and if I were in their shoe I might do the same because when vehicle started misbehaving there is no way rental money will be complete, the best thing is to return the car to the owner to avoid unnecessary embarrassment. Uber of today is not for luxury cars |

BoomBoom101: PLS SHUT DOWN YOUR UBER APP TILL UBER INCREASES THEIR FARE.
With this, all riders will be forced to download taxify app.
Don't be a slave in your own country dear drivers, pls let try it for a week and see if Uber won't adjust, their promo is rubbish, their fare is ridiculous, their judgement is sentimental; they block drivers these days without tangible reason. Let us use 1st of October till 7th to take this solidarity action, everyone of us should register with Taxify and endure for that one week. |

abitafah: I picked a white man and wen he got into my car, the first thing he said was that "I saw ur colleagues advertising your price reduction promo. They came to me with a flier and I told them I was not interested cos I don't want to take UBER when they are on promo...it is the driver that suffers it. I want to pay the correct fare for every service I enjoy." Nigerians are the one enjoying the awoof and still expecting more from the driver over a fare that even an okada rider would not take. I picked a lady from lekki to surulere and the fare was 460 naira. I knew already that it was a wrong calculation. I collected 500 naira and she waited for me to find 40 naira change for her which she collected...so I went offline and reported to UBER about it. The lady that responded to my complaint from UBER had to ask me again that "u mean she still collected 40 naira change?", then I responded yes. Many UBER riders are so useless. very useless set of people; I carried a lady with 12.5kg cylinder from okota to three different places and I spent 1hr 53mins with her, at the end of the trip Uber fare was 1,430 naira, can u believe that this lady hv to delay me for another 15mins looking for where to change #500 bro I almost cry that day |
