RodgersAkpafu: I'm sure it's non Bank stocks you went to buy I actually had both access and zenith |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Blaqq2: 2:40pm On Oct 22, 2024 |
I understand now RodgersAkpafu: They are not a scam Their system is just...... Somehow
So lemme explain it in simple terms
For every asset on an exchange, there is the bid section (how much people are willing to buy) and the offer section (how much people are willing to sell)
So the highest bid price and the lowest offer price is always not the same the highest bid price will always be lower than the lowest offer price (well most of the time)
the difference between the two is what we call the "spread" in finance
In some sectors, the spread is very small (eg banking stocks, you often see 50k to N1 gap ) some other industries it is much wider Because Bamboo operates on the market buy Nd not limit buy/sell, what they do is as below
WHEN U WANT TO BUY SHARES. it will go and pick the offer price available there, which is always higher than the highest bid rate....
WHEN YOU WANNA SELL, it will now go to the bid side and pick the highest possible bid (the available one) And like I said earlier, the highest bid will almost always be lower than the least offer price
That's why it appears that bamboo is cheating
The limit buy/sell function is mot there yet for some reason best known to them.
To circumvent this, you go for brokerages that allow you to exercise limit buy/sell function meaning you buy or sell at your own set price, and the if the market doesn't accept your price, your trade fails
Thats why Bamboo trades don't fail they pick the market price but limit buy or sell can fail
Hope I didn't confuse anyone |

I just confirmed Bamboo is just outright scam Their charges to begin with is just funny Plus the fact that they sell your stocks at the lowest possible option is just sad |

Which is capital Morgan right? yMcy56: I don't know how Bamboo works but it seems you're relating with your stocks thru 3rd party.... Try relate directly with NGX by moving some of the assets to a direct licensed broker. |

Please recommend some high paying dividend stocks ololufemi: Anyone who has funds in mutual funds or money market funds should be using some of the proceeds from their interest or appreciation to gradually purchase bluechip good dividend paying stocks with strong fundamentals for the long term.
They won't regret it in the medium term because it's best to enjoy the fruits from both worlds (money market and equities). With the devaluation and inflationary trends, Nigerian equities are ridiculously cheap. |

delvzy: It pops out once in a while. Currently tracking the SFSREITS but it's not something you will enter and exit in. If you are looking for steady dividend coupled with reasonable price appreciation, such business is worth taking a look at.

Ok, thanks yMcy56: Ok. Try and be carrying out periodic checks of her performance and be following up on news/financial reports regarding it, and in fact, regarding all the stocks you own.
It's not all stocks that should be for trading, especially since you're for long term. Some good ones are supposed to be kept for long while you keep averaging them down or up as opportunities presents itself (depending on your portfolio size anyway). |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Blaqq2: 12:01pm On Oct 17, 2024 |
in for long term and also interested in the dividend yMcy56: If you're for long term, you can buy... You can't see around 110 or below for now.... Qualification is tomorrow or Monday (conflicting dates) After qualification date, those who need funds usually come to sell in bits, you can be increasing your stakes small small by then.
The day that stock will move is coming too. |
