We talk about spread and diversification.
Personally, I feel we are all traders (directly or indirectly) with one aim: make money with minimal risk.

I have always said that I do not do TA or FA (and I am not willing to start learning).
I rely more on getting information before it is released to the market.
Once I have info, I go BIG.
This way, I make more in a short time with minimal risk compared to waiting months for appreciation or DIV.

Regardless of how we put it, NEWS is what moves the market (reports, board changes, acquisitions etc)

What is good for the goose is not entirely good for the gander o (na manage gander go manage am)

My philosophy has always been:
To average down and bring cost basis low is always better than losing unrealised gains

The venture is benefitting greatly from the low cost of sales that it's businesses enjoy. Things would have been worse otherwise. Simple metrics such as revenue growth, earnings growth, etc.have not been looking good for some time.
