In 2026, several high-profile Nigerian politicians who faced investigations or indictments by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Key politicians currently serving or active in the APC after such investigations include: Godswill Akpabio: Currently the Senate President of the 10th Assembly. He was previously investigated for allegedly diverting over N100 billion during his tenure as Governor of Akwa Ibom State (2007–2015). Orji Uzor Kalu: A serving Senator representing Abia North. He faced long-standing EFCC prosecution for an alleged N3.2 billion fraud during his governorship of Abia State. Ifeanyi Okowa: Defected to the APC in May 2025. The EFCC confirmed in October 2025 that he remains under investigation for the alleged mismanagement of N1.3 trillion in Delta State funds despite his party switch. Sheriff Oborevwori: The current Governor of Delta State, who defected from the PDP to the APC on April 23, 2025 David Umahi: Currently serving as the Minister of Works. He defected to the APC while facing EFCC links to an alleged N400 million diversion from a 2015 arms deal. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje: Serving as the National Chairman of the APC (as of early 2025, though later reports suggest a transition in leadership). He faced a widely publicized "bribe video" scandal before and during his leadership roles in the party. Abdul’aziz Yari: A serving Senator from Zamfara State. He was previously grilled by the EFCC regarding the alleged misappropriation of N700 million from Paris Club refunds. Stella Oduah: A former Minister and Senator who joined the APC in 2021 while facing an N9.4 billion fraud indictment by the EFCC. Emmanuel Bwacha: A former Senate Minority Leader who defected to the APC in 2022; his constituents alleged the move was to gain immunity from ongoing EFCC scrutiny. seunmsg: Activist in the day, crooked lawyer and property thief in the night. This is how they want to make a new Nigeria possible. I expect Peter Obi and his Obidient mob to start claiming this is another prosecution of the opposition. |

your contact email please TheRareGem1: Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo: Calm Leadership in the Midst of Distraction
Lord John Acton said that power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely, this is never truer than in Nigeria, where people in Authority or positions of power have made it a point of duty to bear upon the powers of their office on everyday Nigerians. Leadership is often tested not only by policy challenges and institutional reforms, but also by the ability to remain focused amid public scrutiny and distractions. For Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, this test has come in the form of intense attention on administrative and documentation-related questions surrounding his WAEC and NYSC records. Yet, through it all, his response has reflected a defining attribute of his leadership: calm, composure, and commitment to duty.
Rather than allowing the actions of a paid social media blood-hound to derail his work at a critical ministry, even when the plot reached a point where his WAEC results were being doctored and falsified just to smear his reputation, Tunji-Ojo maintained a steady focus on his responsibilities. The Ministry of Interior sits at the heart of Nigeria’s internal security architecture, overseeing agencies whose effectiveness directly impacts national stability, border management, and public safety. In such a sensitive role, distraction can be costly. The minister’s ability to separate personal scrutiny from institutional responsibility has therefore been both deliberate and instructive.
Throughout the period of the social media onslaught, Tunji-Ojo adopted a measured approach, consistently emphasizing respect for due process and institutional mechanisms. Instead of being a true Nigerian politician and arresting the perpetrator with either the Nigerian police or DSS and thus politicizing the matter, he allowed relevant authorities to address the issues within established legal and administrative frameworks. This posture reinforced a core democratic principle: that public concerns should be resolved through institutions, not media trials.
More importantly, his composure did not translate into inactivity. Even as a few persons were beginning to ascribe his silence as guilt, the Ministry of Interior continued to push forward with reforms focused on digitization, inter-agency coordination, and improved service delivery. Observers within policy and security circles noted that ministerial engagements, reform timelines, and operational directives remained largely uninterrupted. This continuity sent a clear signal: Governance must not pause because of controversy.
In hindsight, the calmness portrayed by the minister was due to the confidence that there were no skeletons in his cupboard and this has been corroborated by the NYSC and WAEC who have declared that the minister’s certificates are genuine
Tunji-Ojo’s calm demeanor also reflects a broader leadership maturity. In an era where public officials are often pressured to respond instantly and emotionally to every allegation, his restraint stood out. By choosing professionalism over reaction, he projected confidence in institutions and in his own record, reinforcing public trust rather than undermining it.
Leadership, especially in a democracy, does not mean the absence of scrutiny. It means the ability to withstand it without losing focus. In navigating a challenging period with restraint and discipline, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo demonstrated that effective governance is as much about temperament as it is about policy. His approach serves as a reminder that calm leadership, anchored in due process and duty, remains one of the strongest assets in public service.
As Nigeria continues to pursue internal security reforms under the Renewed Hope agenda, such steadiness at the helm of the Ministry of Interior is not just commendable; it is essential. |

Yinmu., omode ko moogun, o n pee lefo joinnow: The condition is commonly called penis captivus. It is a rare, involuntary medical phenomenon where the penis becomes temporarily trapped inside the vagina during sexual intercourse. This happens because the vaginal muscles contract strongly (often during orgasm) while the penis is still erect, making withdrawal difficult for a short period. Key points for clarity: It is not dangerous in most cases It usually resolves on its own within minutes Panic and force should be avoided, as they can worsen muscle spasm Relaxation and calm breathing typically help the muscles release If it ever lasts unusually long or causes pain, medical attention is recommended. |
