On 14th April 2025, the Omeife technology team ( Creator of Africa's first Humanoid Robot) team officially announced the top 3 winners of their 2025 API Hackathon challenge — and it's clear that Africa's tech future is in brilliant hands.

Coming in 3rd place is Abraham Golor, the creator of Èkó Translate — an AI-powered translation tool designed to help English speakers communicate in Yoruba, with a focus on real-life interactions in Lagos and beyond, bridging the language gap and connecting cultures.

Taking 2nd place is Abah Uchechukwu, the mind behind Nator.

And the winner of the 2025 Omeife API Hackathon?

None other than Favour Iyke Efam, with the standout project AfricanLingo — a powerful platform using AI to preserve and promote African languages through engaging, gamified lessons. This project didn’t just impress the judges; it told a story of culture, identity, and innovation.
