WebmastersRe: How To Get 10,000 Facebook Fans With Just $100. Do It Yourself Tutorial. by Blogking(f): 7:18am On Aug 13, 2013
sarutobi: Hello fellow webmasters,

i am using facebook to build an audience for my new website www.freesoccernews.com and i now have a dirt cheap and easy way u too can learn from.
I do not post on nairaland much (since i have not had much to post) but i feel i should share with you something i am about to achieve. We all know how expensive online advertising can be especially for small time website owners like us. Facebook ads especially are quite expensive when one considers the ROI so it is important to aim your CPC to the very minimum: $0.01

This was what i wanted from the start so i set up my advert on friday and it ran for a while. BAM!! $10 already gone just like that and i got just around 23 clicks. embarassed
I had $100 in my account and i knew that if this continued i will just have a mere 230 fans. (help me do the math if i am wrong grin)

Enough small talks, here is what i did:
1. i changed the photo of my ad from a well dressed young woman to a hot lady baring a little of her clea**ge . Pls guyz just a little cleavage or else facebook will not approve your ad. This move alone increased my CTR from 0.13 to 0.22 shocked (afterall sex sells)

2. Narrow your target. If your audience is women of age 18 - 40 that lives in nigeria, speaks english, not in a relationship and like chris brown, then so be it. Dont target anyone else. Infact once the facebook traffic estimator starts to read above 5 million people that ad is probably not well targeted.
-I have also come to find out that women between the ages of 30-50 have the higehest CTR while people btw 50 and above do not even look at ur advert. avoid them.
-When targeting men (working class), run your adverts only in the evenings when they are back from work.
-Also average CPC drops by 30% at night (depending on the country you are targeting) and drops almost 50% by weekend(big players go to sleep)
-Muslim countries have the highest CTR . It seems these guyz just love to click on ads (i am still looking for what i can market to this region)

Okay, i am still researching and i will post more. Just remember that CTR is king in facebook ads. aim for a CTR of 0.2 and above and you will be fine.

I had $120 in my account and i am currently paying 0.01 per click now for my ad. if my math is right i will get around 10,000 fans b4 the money is exhausted. attached is a picture of my progress: i have a CTR of above 0.5 and my page i opened on friday now has 2015 fans cool

I hope this helps someone. Ask any questions, i will try my best to answer accurately.
Dear op, i followed your tip and created a facebook, although mine runs a $2 yet it i've seen no activity.

For those who called me with the number i dropped earlier, Medicine does give admission through direct entry although they didn't some sets ago when they had accreditation problems. As for Engineering, i don't know, but if you're interested i can make enquiries, since am still in Campus. Sorry i've not been on nairaland regularly. . .lol. . . I was setting up my website. Meanwhile you can also give me a call on 08094813710 if you have any pertinent question or drop it here on NL. . .and lest i forget, DE into medicine is highly competitive, they take based on available space and quality of performance in the post UME and your first degree. Infact several people from my graduating class '13 here in UNN are reapplying into medicine.

EducationA Homosexual Caught In The Eni-njoku Hall Of Unn? by Blogking(op): 2:59am On Jun 15, 2013
Yes, it's a question, because even though i was there to witness the whole drama, no one was actually conclusive on the issue. . . It all began like something out of a movieset around 2AM yesterday morning at the Eni-Njoku Hallof the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. It so happened that i was studying upstairs in the reading room when sounds of some one being battered brutaly behind the hostel came through! Naturally we all rushed to the windows to see what it was. 2 guys where actually beating up another boy who wore a swimming trunk. Theywere so rough handling the guy that the thuds comming from the punches and kicks where quite loud.
At first we could barely decipher the situation, but it was largely assumed that the guy being beaten may have been defeacating near the Anglican Student Fellowship secreteriat, whichsome boys was notorius for and the Anglican brothers were dealing with him. The whole thing took a difèrent turn however when they dragged the poor boy into a room in the B-wing of the 100series of the hostel whilst still hitting him. This attracted a throng of students who came even from other hostels with a thirst for Jungle Justice. They speculated that the boy was caught commiting homosexuality, and demanded that he be brought out to them! They banged away at the rooms door which was locked from within, threatning to break inand Conjured several songsmaking mockery of the incident. The situation was however reverted when the University Security arrived. They Whisked the Battered student away in thier white pick-up van, admist heavy Jeering from the crowd. The bottom line is, no one was conclusively sure of the boys real crime. Except the 2guys who allegedly, beat himup, those who were in the room he was locked up or the lucky few who were told the real story.
FamilyWho Can Be Like Her? by Blogking(op): 5:48pm On Apr 14, 2013
The much anticipated answer is no one. No one can take the place of mama in my life, not even a brother, sister, or father can be like her.
Mama, has been through a lot for my sake, she bore me for a whole nine months, an act no other person living or dead can do for me. As if that was not enough, my beloved mother decided to keep me as a foetus despite all humanly misfortunes foretold by our worldly doctors, eventually bearing me through a near death caesarean section that lasted several hours. Who can be like her? My lovely mother, who nurtured me without compulsion from her bosoms, and ensured I walked the good path of uprightness when the time was right. A woman who shares a mental telepathy with her children, even feeling our pains when we were miles away, never ceasing in her humble prayers for our betterment.
Who can be like her? That one woman who took the job of mothering voluntarily and without question. That devoted mother of mine who worked with vigor to ensure that hot meals were always available for us and our needs were always met, when papa was running aground financially. That beautiful soul who encouraged us despite all odds stacked up against our future, who made one believe that the future was only our playground where whatever we conceived could be achieved as long as we were willing to involve hardwork, supplications to the almighty God and honest dedication to our endeavours.
I dare to ask again, who can be like her? “Onye di ka nnem oma ?” (who can be like my beautiful mother- In our local parlance “Igbo”). That rare specie who no doubt was my first fan, to her I was a celebrity, every of my little successes she considered a notable triumph, seeing the hidden wisdom in me even in my deepest state of folly.
In conclusion, I am of the opinion that with respect to my beloved mother, there is no need asking the age old question “who can be like her?”, for the unique roles and extended deeds of love she has shown me in my just over two decades of existence, earns her that distinguished position which no other person can contest.

Celebrities5 Things About The Reigning Miss University Of Nigeria You Never Knew! by Blogking(op): 8:37am On Mar 07, 2013
[LIKE OUR FACEBOOK PAGE=> https://www.facebook.com/pages/D%C3%ABf%C3%AFn%C3%AFt%C3%ABly-K%C3%AFngsl%C3%ABy/405089899534304?ref=hl]

The reigning miss University of Nigeria, "Chinelo Anazodo", is no doubt a combination of beauty, Intelligence and humility. Having known Chinelo for about three years now, i must sincerely confess how she manages to balance her position as a Queen, with that of such a down to earth student, really is beyond me! I recently cornered her for an interactive session and this is what came out of it=>

DKB: Please introduce yourself.

Chinelo: I'm Chinelo Anazodo, a student of Combined Biological Sciences, 400 level.

DKB: How has your reign as Miss UNN been so far?

Chinelo: emmm. . . It's been going well, but honestly it's been full of hurdles and blessings. I'm very greatful for this opportunity, because it made me mature faster as a person and i was exposed to alot of things, that people won't experience on a normal day. So it made me mature faster than even my mates.

DKB: Like how long does the reign, what's the duration of the tenure?

Chinelo: Actually, it lasts for a year, but until you hand over the crown you still hold the post ceremonially. That is, when Miss UNN is needed you can now appear on behalf of her.

DKB: Since your inception as Miss UNN, what has been your greatest challenge so far? As, we all know most paegent winners are expected to take up a project, what has been your obstacle(s) in achieving your project in the university of Nigeria?

Chinelo: My greatest challenge has been combining academics, with the office of Miss UNN. Although, having the passion of doing something for the student body and the non-feasibility of achieving it seems to be the greatest of all the obstacles.

DKB: So in conclusion, what are the five unique things about you an average classmate of friend doesn't know of your person?

Chinelo: okay, first thing people don't know about me is that am a very spiritual person. This is because i joke alot, am always at the sanguine end, they only realise this when they get a bit closer. Number two thing isthat. . . .ummm. . . .let me think.. . . I love handling issues of life, especially about women! I could spend years, studying peagentry, studying about how to be a lady, i even attend special lectures pertaining to that side of life on everything about being a woman. Number 3 of what people don't know is. . . i think people already know i have four brothers and am the only girl. Number 4, I love cartoons! Till the day i'm 87 i won't stop watching them. . . . I don't know what number 5 is o, but if there is any I would pass it across to you later.

DKB: It's been really nice chatting with you, thanks for granting us audience.

Chinelo: It's been a pleasure, thank you!

So there you have it! Miss Chinelo Anazodo, the reigning Miss UNN disclosing five things about her you never knew!
