Romance / This Is The Real Reason Why Men Cheat by blogstarr: 7:08pm On Oct 15, 2016
http://writeitloud.com/this-is-the-real-reason-why-men-cheat/

Somewhere along the way, you will meet someone who will be more charming or sensitive than the person you’re already with or sexier, more thoughtful, wealthier, better in bed. You will meet someone who will need you and pursue you and go crazy over you more than your girlfriend ever did because no girlfriend is perfect. Your girl will only have 90 percent of what you’re looking for and cheating happens when you look for the missing 10 percent.

Let’s say your girlfriend is moody by nature. You may find yourself drawn to the pretty girl next-door who has a cheerleader laugh no matter what she says such as “I broke my arm yesterday, ha ha ha…” Or because your girlfriend is a couch potato who is always in pajamas and smelling of garlic and cooking oil, you may fall for the CK-One-smelling, colleague who comes to work in a sharp pinstripe blazer, high heels, and a red pencil-cut skirt. Or because your girlfriend’s the type who never shuts up even when you’ve tried using duct tape, your heart may skip a beat when you sit next to a brooding, mysterious quiet girl on the bus.

But wait! That’s only 10 percent of what you don’t have. Don’t throw away the 90 percent that you already do! Add to the 90 percent the 100 percent that represents all the time that you have been with each other, the storms you have weathered together, the many adjustments you have made to better understand each other’s little quirks and idiosyncrasies, the wealth of memories that you have accumulated as lovers, the old sparks that can always be rekindled by the walk on the beach, barefoot and underneath the stars just being with each other.

Cheating happens when you start looking for what you don’t have. But faithfulness happens when you start thanking God for what you already do.

Love is beautiful, and you should know how lucky you are to have found it with one person. It will all be worth it in the end, when it’s just you and your wife holding hands looking back on the wonderful life you had together, you don’t want to mess that up.

Everyone gets tempted from time to time, but part of being an adult is having self-control. If you can’t manage that, again, don’t get into a relationship. Spend some time alone, and grow up & gain some perspective. Don’t be fooled by the saying that ‘all men cheat’, because the woman you are with may just be one of the few who’s determined to be with a faithful man and if she’s worth it, you’ll be sorry to see her go.

Celebrities / "I Dislike A Lady Who Puts On Hips Pads, Or Fake Bum" - Emmanuel Ikubese by blogstarr: 2:22pm On Mar 03, 2016
Former Mr Nigeria 2014 is no doubt a ladies’ man. With his handsome features and endearing personality, he is someone most ladies would love to have in their corner.

But what are his preferences in a lady? What turns him on and what turns him off?

The actor, TV host and model shares that and more in this exclusive interview!

What are the 5 things that turn you on in a lady and why?
In no particular order, they are:
– Her Personality: It’s one thing that really gets to me. I appreciate someone who brings light and positive vibes to an environment with the way she talks and comports herself. Then she has to be kind and polite.
– Intelligence: I like a woman who is very intelligent, someone who I can share ideas with. Someone who can challenge me and talk about creative stuff.
– Confidence: I like a woman who knows what she wants, who is confident in herself and everything she does. From the way she dresses to how she walks and talks.
– Sense of humour: A woman with a great sense of humour, who can take a joke and understands that things are never that serious. Someone who is happy and fun loving.
– A good listener: A woman who listens and can practically tell you what you said in a previous conversation you had.

What are the 5 things that turn you off in a lady and why?
In in no particular order, they are:
– Arrogance: I dislike a lady who is very arrogant, someone who feels she is on top of the world and wants to show off.
– Deception: Some people call it fashion but I dislike a lady who puts on hips pads, or fake bum just to feel among.
– A woman who acts like she is always right and never takes to correction.
– A woman who doesn’t know how to take care of her body and a woman who has bad breath.
– A woman who has no drive in life, no goals and aspirations.

Who is your ideal lady?
My ideal lady is a strong woman who is down to earth, very ambitious and knows what she wants, she is intelligent, understanding, very supportive, and knows when to be a woman.

Have you found her?
Yes I have found her.

What is your definition of love?
Hmm love is a very complicated word to describe, but to me it is when there is no longer self in the decisions you make. Your decisions are centered around making that person smile and happy because if they are, then you are.

Celebrities / Beverly Naya Speaks On Why She Is Single & Her Role In Surulere by blogstarr: 6:56pm On Feb 11, 2016
Beverly Naya is a darling of the screen for many reasons. She is a gifted actress who has been on top of her game ever since she made her debut in the industry a few years ago. But what is very intriguing about her is she keeps growing and breaking new grounds in her career.

A nominee for the Best Supporting Actress at the upcoming AMVCA, she is also a part of the cast of one of the year’s most anticipated movies, Suru L’ere which hits the cinemas tomorrow.

In this exclusive interview with TheBrief.ng, she opens up about her role as Omosigho in the movie and dishes on who her ideal guy is among other things.

On why she is still single:
You are one actress who has never really been linked with anyone in a romantic way. Is it that the men are not asking or you are keeping him a secret?

Laughs… It’s not that they are not asking, they are asking. The main issue my mom complains about is that I can be quite picky. I am picky with reasons because I feel like I have a lot to offer. I don’t want to settle down with the wrong guy. What’s the point? You work this hard, you do so much for your life only for you to settle down with the wrong guy! No, it doesn’t make sense to me. So that’s partly why I’m single. The other reason is I’ve been really busy. I need a guy that understands the nature of my job and doesn’t get so insecure because of what I do. I know the right guy will find me when it’s time. I’m not keeping him a secret, but I am dating at the moment. I am being quiet about that because I don’t think that needs to be in the public just yet.

When you do present him to the world, what kind of man should we expect to see?
You should expect a gentle, handsome, ambitious man who treats me like a princess. A complete gentleman, someone who knows how to treat a lady, dresses well and most likely my ideal man, Amen to that! God, I hope you are listening. That’s what I’m hoping for.

On her character in Suru L'ere:
Are there any similarities between the real Beverly and your character, Omosigho in Suru L’ere?

In my opinion, I don’t think there are similarities. I say this because Omosigho is a complex being in the sense that she really believes that she deserves all the fine things in life in terms of her career, livelihood, fashion… everything. She believes she deserves all of it without having to work hard at all. I’m the complete opposite.

If there is any similarity, it would be that we do want great things out of life, we both want our careers to be the best but the difference is how we go about it. Omosigho does not believe in working hard, she believes that everything should be handed down to her. I, on the other hand believe in hard work. I believe that nothing should be given to you for free. I believe that its more valuable when you work for it. We are not similar at all.
