jmoore: Before you saw gmo food ain't safe, provide evidence.
What makes the conspiracy theory ridiculous in Nigeria is that majority of the food we eat in Nigeria got no labels.
Garri from cassava Beans, you dey chop akara and moi moi. You dey chop roasted corn that has no label if it is GMO or not. Some GMOs contain changes that make them resistant to certain antibiotics. In theory, the genes from these plants could enter humans or animals when they eat them. As a result, the person or animal could also develop antibiotic resistance. It seems highly unlikely that all of these can be random coincidence." They point out that according to "the American Academy of Environmental Medicine's position paper on genetically modified (GM) foods: '[S]everal animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food consumption including infertility, ... |

What do you people want sef , you people will be talking about discipline and when the same coach starts showing the discipline it is the same people that will still call him names that his own is too much..wetin una want..no wonder nigeria keep changing coaches like clothes... There is no proof of that... No proof that he did so. If he tried and the players misbehaved, he shud take them out of the squad. I don't even know why the former coach left sef that we needed to hire finidi. Someone that cannot even address the issues and at least let Nigerians know what is happening. At least the former coach used to talk, win or lose, he wud tell us how much he wants to move the team forward. This finidi, we not even dey hear frm the guy |

Is it not his country that he is playing for ?? No. He is not supposed to beg any player. But what was his reason for saying that? Besides osimhen already told him he was injured immediately after the match with leece. And still offered to come down to motivate the boys. Let's even leave that. We all saw the players that he had. Why didn't he perform? |

ReubenE: You are not getting the point. Nobody said Osimhen should keep quiet in the face of true or false allegation.
Osimhen is a professional, face of African football. It is wrong, totally wrong for anybody let alone a player to go on air to insult his coach, cursing, swearing, wishing death on people and even threatening violence on the person that was trying to calm him down.
Finidi's inability to win matches is unrelated to Osimhen's arrogant disrespectful video. I don't understand why some of you are trying to tie them together. As far as I have read and heard, there is no Nigerian that has written it anywhere that Finidi is doing a good job to qualify Nigeria for the world cup. So trying to justify Osimhen's insolent behavior with Finidi not winning matches is preposterous. Osimhen does not have respect for Finidi. In my judgement, he considers Finidi not big enough to coach him. It was same way he disrespected Ikpeba that a pundit is not qualified to advise him.
Two things can be wrong at same time.
Whatever Finidi is accused of saying if true or not. Osimhen has proven one point with his behavior that indeed our players lack discipline and Osimhen is the number one of them. I agree with some of ur points and assessment. But everyone shud stop acting like osimhen doesn't give his all when it concerns Nigeria. And everyone shud also stop acting like he shudnt have responded. Perhaps he went to far, that, I can agree. But to keep quiet? No way. |

Maxcollins042: Osimhen could have called Finidi to verify if he lambasted him before the NFF or not instead of launching into a tirade. This is also a vital lesson to us all: always look before you leap. What if the NFF r lying to save face? What if osimhen was also privy to some Info? Na now day break for NFF? |

Politics › Re: Nigeria Confronts Its Worst Economic Crisis In A Generation by blowjohn(m): 8:49am On Jun 17, 2024 |
ReubenE: You are one of the problems we have around.
Osimhen's reaction was not about Finidi doing a poor job qualifying Nigeria for the world cup, so why do you want people to leave Osimhen's disrespect to talk about how Finidi could not win matches. There is unanimous criticism of how Finidi and SE has performed poorly. Osimhen's stupid disrespectful video people condemned is a totally different matter but again it underscores the mentality of most Nigerians, it is always about sentiments...most times, sentimental considerations that really does not make meaning.
You and others are supporting Osimhen in the nonsense he did not because he is right but the person he did it to cause you believe Finidi is not a good coach. If you want to talk about Finidi not being a good coach, face that one. Don't use it as a background to support Osimhen in the nonsense he did. Two things can be wrong at same time Do u understand that torrents of people went online to insult osimhen for not showing up? Do u know how painful that is? So he shud just keep quiet over something he probably won't benefit frm? |

So people are really angry and we are taking it out on each other. We regret where we found ourselves and no one is happy. Shebi finidi has done damage and run away. But we are fixated on osimhen. Osimhen disrespecting finidi is our problem. We leave important things to focus on the unimportant. Dem suppose make sure say finidi finish wetin e start |

Maxcollins042: Did you even read the post? Yes I did. Finidi shid just go abeg. 'It was when the issue of players' commitment was raised that he said he was not going to beg anybody to play for Super Eagles, but he did not mention any player by name specifically.' That sums up his coaching nature. |
Sports › Re: NFF Meeting Sources Said Finidi Never Said What Osimhen Insulted Him For by blowjohn(m): 8:18am On Jun 17, 2024 |
Maxcollins042: What makes you think Osimhen got his info right?
What makes you not to believe this man? He said he called a few highly reliable people who were at the meeting.
Was Osimhen there at the meeting?
Or you think someone could not have misinformed Osimhen? Ok let's assume both osimhen and this guy are lying or didn't get the right information. That leaves us with the unquestionable truth: finidi is the worst coach we have ever had. No tactics. No wins. Worst of all, the same finidi has not come out to even reassure nigerians that he can do better or apologize for his very abysmal performance. Is that a human being ready to fight for the country as a coach? Next thing he throws in the towel |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Confronts Its Worst Economic Crisis In A Generation by blowjohn(m): 8:14am On Jun 17, 2024 |
edungene7: Indeed Nigeria is a shameless country very quick to criticize those with good intentions but are always supporting those who do not mean well only because of monetry gain, nepotism and bigotry a clear case is the victor osihmen and Finidi George scenario look at how they were pouring out venom on osihmen when Finidi was actually the culprit a man that could not manage a team handed over to him the same players he claimed were arrogant and not willing to play for Nigeria did exceedingly well under a white coach you can't give what you don't have. Before the last election Tinubu intentionally avoided all the public media engagements he was invited to attend to come and prove how he intended to achieve is intended goal but he declined all of them yet someone persons went ahead and voted such a fellow today the result is here election has consequences Nigerians deserve the kind of leadership they have because some so called educated illiterates will still cheer and support them Thank u for using the finidi/Osimhen imbroglio as a case. People leave the fact that finidi did very very poorly, and start attacking osimhen. I shudder for many people o. The coach cannot even win any match. No tactics. Nothing. Yet we are talking about respect. It's well |
