I can understand professors in professional courses like Medicine, engineering, law, etc engaging in private practise which can fetch them good income that will supplement whatever they earn from the university system, but what about professors in fields like Languages, Religious studies , history, library studies, etc?

They seek and get lots of foreign research grants as well running into thousands of dollars, which they even end up using school resources to carry out, no lecturer wey sabi him way dey depend on salary from FG sef……that Hilux you’re seeing sometimes even follows the grant
