ElekeNtioba: point out what u feel is d anomaly and i'd do my best to set u right. You need to go and simply read who have been forming alliances with the North for mere political crumbs and porridge right after independence. Go and read why Zik and Ibos are dubbed the beautiful bride and Zik in particular was referred to as a political prostitute by politicians of his era. |
ElekeNtioba: awolowo never aligned with azikiwe. Zik's alliance with d north was a marriage of convenience....political positions was shared at d national level. Akintola only alligned with d north to dethrone awolowo. He let in d northern snake into d homes of d yoruba. D subsequent elections were very violent and earned d western region d moniker.....wild wild west. You need a good Nigeria history book. |
ElekeNtioba: so we are nw in d stage of correcting grammar. Didnt u see d 'u' ?? SmhLet your Abuja based group translate their rants into tangible action on the streets of Epe, Ikorodu or inside Campos square on Lagos Island. That is only when reality will hit you badly. |
quid: ask your northern mastersIgbo folklore to give themselves a false sense of a shameful death by a man they hated. Outside Iboland and Ibo people, who else hold tenuously to this lie? ![]() Drop your bitterness. |
quid: yes. . . Awo moved on well . .Yeah! According to Igbo folklore in the village. ![]() |
quid: go and dobale for the next cattle rearerKeep crying over an incident that occurred before you were conceived, while others have simply moved on to achieve greater success with people they fought the war with on opposing side. I won't stop your wailing on this thread. ![]()

quid: ^^ Still the whining of a jealous lazy yoruba manOh really? I'm really jealous of your achievements! LWKMD! When I hear your type talking this way, the pix comes to mind.

ElekeNtioba: am tutoring u in inter-tribal politicking and this is what u can come up with. It's either I'm or I am...nothing like am! That is however beside the point we are making. Do you agree that Lagos is a Yorubaland or you are one of those still stewed in the fantasy of no man's land? Your answer will shape your idea about Igbos seeking an elective post in Lagos. It' will let you know that Yorubas don't fight religious war, but are really deadly in their politics. Only Ibos are still deceived that Nigeria is a country that have outgrown such sentiments attached to politics in Nigeria, and in the process always getting into trouble with their hosts. |
quid: Confusion has mastered you in your beloved one Nigeria.Still the rants of a bitter young man. |
quid: Speak for yourself: you were born in Abeokuta, schooled in Osogbo and married in Ibadan. How is the rusty roof house that you live in?Bitterness and anger are ruling you. It's over 40 yrs of a war both sides were not exactly saints, but you are still here bogged down by your perceived injustice done to your tribe. Yes, I was born in Abeokuta, schooled in the north and married an Igbo woman from Ngwaland, such exposure have helped to shaped my disposition to Nigerians. |
ElekeNtioba: i dont claim to be a political guru. Bt am very certain no Igbo political leader will come out publicly to stump for an Igbo candidate in Lagos Gov. race. Its one tin to publicly ask for place in politics and another to campaign for d candidate. Any help will be behind-the-scene. Again its divisive and raises tribal tensions. It's always good to dream and fantasize. I will locate your desire as such. |
ElekeNtioba: The Igbo majors did u yorubas a favour when they took out Akintola. He sold u guys out to d Northerners. If he had lived, am sure ur pple will not be singing Awolowo's praise to heavens as u do now. He was a fifth columnist and he died a just death. At least u have Awolowo as ur only icon nw. Be grateful to d Igbos for once in ur miserable life.Truth is that with benefit of hindsight, the Akintola political school of thought would have been more beneficial to the Yorubas the way Nigeria was running back then. While Awolowo preferred an alliance with Zik for a Southern cause, Akintola preferred one with Northerners, exactly what Zik did with Northerners. |
ElekeNtioba: ur level of confusion is frustrating. Am talking abt factsand realities on ground and u ar recounting useless political history. I dont see d role of Igbo political leaders in d emergence of an Igboman as Lagos gov/dep gov. Its goin to be divisive and raise unnecessary tribal tensions. His emergence wuld be solely d work of d Igbo community in Lagos. Hw hard can dis be to understand??I will let you uncivil remark slide, just to keep the conversation as sane as possible. Are you saying per chance that Igbo community operates in isolation without political leadership dropping from somewhere? Guy, you need serious lesson on politics 101. |
quid: Stop dreaming tall dreams. Thank Adekunle for fighting for one Nigeria, making it possible for Igbos to come and dominate your lazy a$$ in Lagos. EnjoySo says someone who has never crossed the Niger bridge, but listen to tales during Xmas and Easter period. Drop your anger and bitterness. |
quid: Stop preaching. Take the next danfo going to Ogbomoso sharp sharp. That would be after the last Ibo man have taken the last Ekene Dilli Chuckwu or a Peace Mass Transport luxurious bus back to alaigbo. Drop your bitterness, it's over 40yrs, probably you were not even born then, or else it will follow you to your grave like Achebe. |
ElekeNtioba: the only permanent tin in dis life is CHANGE. Nigeria will be no exception.Such change start from you. |
ElekeNtioba: the only permanent tin in dis life is CHANGE. Nigeria will be no exception.Such change start from you. Change won't happen in isolation or in vacuum. |
ElekeNtioba: read up my posts in dis thread. I hate repeating myself. Dont let tribalism cloud ur thinking. It has ruined too many intellectuals.Oh well, it's an old game. Where is the tribalism in my comment, however if you think so, you are free to conclude as such. |
ElekeNtioba: Believe me its not beyond them. They are quite capable of that and so much more. Right now they are just trying to ease it into d consiousness of yorubas to avoid tribal tensions. Bt its a legitimate cause and one day no matter hw many tyms y'all beat ur chest on dis forum, it will come to pass.Oh well, I assured you that such could have been remotely possible some few years ago, but so many factors have forever killed such aspirations. There are always going to be repercussions when your political leaders labeled a party an ewedu people eating party, an Awolowo party. Your political leaders are very shortsighted in thinking, in politics you build bridge, even with old foes, but in your case, you don't build, anyone that exist, you destroy. You merely play politics of the present, believing you will cross an hurdle when you reach one, forgetting you need alliances to cross such hurdle. And you younger ones are not helping, you insult other Nigerians endlessly on social media. |
ElekeNtioba: again...u are confusing elections with appointment. They are not asking for a place in d politics of just any SW state. They just want to be part of tins in d very state they contributed to making what its is today. Dats not such a bad tin is it??Sorry, but you are the one sounding very confused here. In one breathe, you claimed they have such huge population, but cannot translate same into electoral advantage, at the same time, you said they just want to be part of tinz, is that not demanding or begging? Stop confusing yourself and be more explicit in how they should go about seeking elective post outside Ibo region. Nigeria is a deeply rooted tribal nation, only your type are refusing to accept that reality. |
Energito: Who is seun that igbos cannot threaten?who is he? his nonsense is geting out of hand.if he must remove Ngwakwe then he should also do the same to mynd44 or let him tell us that nairaland belong to yroubas.if he fail to do the needful i will personally put all my igbo brother on call to stop commenting or post anything here.nonsenseWho are Ibos to threaten someone on how to run his business? Like some posters have done already, you can decide to stop coming to NL, but you cannot force everybody including Ibos to follow you. |
ElekeNtioba: forget d title...like I said they are not demanding, its propaganda. If an Igbo decides to run am sure u will come up with not diatribe. Now it time to run, you have a sympathetic FG to Ibos. As far as I'm concerned, it all gra-gra with little brain work. I don't know if you are part of the group, but you are doing much to change their communique. |
