I'm of the opinion that gift card trade should be banned on this forum. It's 99% fraud proceed according to the traders. It's what Yoruba called OLEGBE OLEGBA (thief steal am, another thief collect am). Thus, I may not be in a good position to mediate in this matter.

let's mods and others mediate

rawfact:
You seem to be interested in something more.

At this stage, I advise you contact your bank for all the information you need.

I wanted you to say something, so I can prove to you that's impossible
Anyways thanks for ur time

If your bank doesn't have such a feature online, calling Customer Care might take long so quickly call your Account Officer (hopefully within banking hours).

So what if the I'm the one that's trying to scam someone, are u saying I can easily get away with that by calling my account officer?

Like I go on olx, buy a new sim and call a seller, transfer to him then collect his item, throw away the sim then quickly call my account officer that d transfer was fraudulent, u saying I will get my money back?

rawfact:
Emboldened: Why make such an expression when I thought I was helping out as you earlier requested?

Anyway, if he called to confirm a reversal when he never initiated or requested for such, then it implies that there was transmission error around the period he sent the money to your bank account. It is either he experienced poor Internet network at that moment, or the server of either banks involved in the transaction experienced issues at that moment.

Also, cancellation or reversal request on transaction made is possible if done on time.

Sorry about the emboldened
But u haven't answered my question
Who do u call to reverse a transaction?
Customer care?

timijoseph01:
I will keep saying it SMS alert mean nothing until you confirm the transaction on your own bank app...
.
As far as I know,, Once money shows up as valid in your bank app.. Not even the sender's bank or your own bank for that matter has the authority to reverse money for any reason..
Reversals dont show up in bank app transaction history at all,, and that's why I even go further by screenshot the Transaction ID,, just in case...
.
Even if it's you mistakenly send money to another person's acc,, not you or the bank can reverse it so far its processed..
.
So Bank App verification/Statement of acc is untilmate,, not any other alert whatsoever..

U didn't answer my question
I said how would a bank detect an erroneous payment?
Or will they just randomly have it in their mind that a payment was sent by mistake?
Oga our banking system is messed up
Its as easy as that

rawfact:
The bank in question wouldn't have done that on their own.

Your customer must have reversed the payment online moments after you confirmed it. Or he must have quickly contacted the bank to do just that.

No he didn't
He called me to say he got a reversal
And sent me the money the following Monday

Wait o, are u saying u have never experienced a reversal case?
And who exactly in the bank would you call to reverse a payment for you?
Customer care?
U mean u can send money to someone and call customer care to reverse it?
In which world?
Abeg make we dey think before we talk
The only thing I know that can happen is that the receiver's account might be temporarily blocked, and thats only if multiple cases have been reported about the account

Available

rawfact:
No, Nigerian Banks are not messed up. "Reversal" is put in place to aid recovery of erroneous/unitentional payout.

But Banks really need to increase customer awareness on this and many more.

Anyway, be guided on future transactions.

So what exactly tipped them that the transaction was erroneous?
Or they just randomly reverse people's transactions cos something in their spirit told them its erroneous?

Please educate us

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday y'all
