More than half of that money will go into renting it and putting the place together. I stay in ikorodu.....she will conveniently get shop for 200-300k in a relatively busy place.

Itamaga round about were a sis sells home appliances her rent is 200k per year and she makes good sales.

Not everyone will sell in major market.....for someone like her she doesn't have a choice than to start from even hawking if possible.

One thing I noticed is most people with profile hiding their gender all oppose the op, that’s a sign of low IQ.
The country is had yes but you can definitely start up a business with 1m, shop rent inclusive.
I’ve seen countless people spent so much on shop interior buying unnecessary things to beautify the shop and end up stocking the shop with goods less than 200k, these set of people and those opposing the op are one family…

I don't know which state you are residing....if you are in lagos all you just need is learning how to cut and map out your distribution route.

My experience is a bit different.

She has money in millions but will never touch it. Will not invest, will not spend, just like to have it accumulating monthly interest. No wahala with that.

But help with home keeping na lie. She will never touch her money to help with anything in the house.

She's right, the money is enough to start a business without renting a shop. I don't know about other states but in Lagos, neighbourhood shops now go between 8-10k per month. Shops in busy areas, bus-stops and market places go for much higher and most landlords ask for 2 years rent upfront. The spending won't be on rent alone, she'll need to furnish the shop with chair, table, counters, shelves etc and make it look attractive to customers. She's only telling you the reality of things but you're here poverty shaming her. You strike me as the toxic abusive husband who will treat your wife like you're doing her a favour by marrying her. How I wish she can open her eyes and see how better she'll be far away from you.

Not every part of Lagos is expensive.
