You cannot set your prices to please your customers. No business has ever done that and survived. You set your prices at the point where it yields enough profit to fund your business adequately and keep it running well

Fuel won't be ever cheap enough for you in reality, unlike in russia, because we do not manufacture or make any of the components that go int building a refinery or an oil rig. If the thing breaks down or needs to be replaced,it has to be imported or fixed from abroad. That is the main reason why fuel is expensive.

And if you want your government to start subsidisng fuel again, just know that it was not in this year's budget, and spending on subsidy will take money away from other sectors of the budget , and the money would be replaced by more and more loans.

You know our debt is above 150 trillion naira? Want it to reach 400 trillion or more? Ask your senator to pass a law mandating fuel price is subsidised to N200 whatever the real cost. You go enjoy when monies for salaries and projects run out, and IMF and Beijing are not willing to give you loans no more.

Here is a bunch of banana I bought for N500, this would go for nothing less than $4 in Canada, please note these are organic bananas we are talking about not the extra-sweet, GMO tampered bananas in the west and I got this in Lagos meaning folks living in the suburbs might even be buying cheaper.

I also buy I big avocado for N400, do the maths and convert to $. When next you complain about Nigeria, remember we have cheap and easily accessible fruits and vegetables.

Most of these clowns that try to spoil market for people are big time lowballers, they downgrade your market online and enter DM to get a good deal, playing mind games.
