ecolime: I'm a serving youth corp but will be through by June. Any advice for me?Welcome Ecolime. Just as the other poster has said, you must prepare ahead. I encourage you to believe in God and in yourself. Believe that what you have can get you what you want. But the important question I want you to ask yourself and answer before your POP is "What do I really want in life?" You should be very certain of that so that you don't live at the mercy of others or what the society has to offer. Do you want a job first or you want to further your education or you want to be self-employed? Ask yourself, seek God's face and He will direct you. Don't give up if you didn't get a job after some tests and interviews, keep your dreams and guard them jealously. Learn to recognise opportunities and cease them. Best of luck |
Happy Sunday brethren. Wishing you a blessed week. Shallom |
Thanks X-fire, I'll modify the topic asap. Over to you Mod ![]() |

okpas111: DO YOU KNOW THAT MOST NIGERIANS ARE THE COURSE OF THEIR PROBLEMS? BUT ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO DO THAT COS YOU CAN STILL MAKE MUCH MONEY THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE, FOR JUST DOING WHAT YOU DO ALL DAY FOR FREE (TALKING).That's true, Nigerian youths should be encouraged to be innovative. It will be nice if you share some ideas on how to make money by talking cos not everyone can be motivational speakers or comedians. Thanks |
Freezle: nice one bolt. Thanks Freezle, thank God for you o. I'm sure you know not many people can further their studies cos of financial and other constraints. This thread was opened to motivate and encourage such people. There's light at the end of the tunnel but not everyone sees the end. Cheers |
I believe there are so many Nigerian youths just like me that fall into this category considering the 'man-know-man' syndrome, which determines who gets employed. By "jobless", I don't mean idle. I know there are different kinds of jobs but here I mean your "dream job". That kind of job that will start you up, that will enable you live your dreams. A kind of reward for your hardwork. You are not sharing your experience because you want to be pitied, but to serve as a source of motivation to someone who has or is almost giving up. Some of us know how it feels like to stay for 3 months without a job. Let me go first I finished serving about 3 years ago being very certain that in the shortest possible time, my 'allowee' will turn to salary, khaki to italian suit, jungle boots to italian shoes blablabla, considering my class of degree and associated qualities. I attended my first interview 3 months after service but it didn't work out. Several books on excelling at job interviews, GMAT, GRE, job forums before aptitude tests and interviews yielded no result. I also applied for masters scholarships (local and international) but wasn't shortlisted. By God's grace and with the help of my family and friends, I am rounding up my masters programme (though in a Nigerian University). The feelings of not having a job is almost frequent but God has been faithful. Sometimes miraculously but I manage to overcome some financial hurdles. Mind you, I am not slothful; I engage in LEGAL runs and deals that fetch me cash but still looking forward to that level where I will be at least 80 percent financially independent. I also worship in a living church where I get the desired nourishment for my soul. Three years is almost gone, but I'm still very positive and hopeful. 0ne, two, five or several years as an applicant, how have you been coping? Share your experience |
OP, abeg modify your misleading topic since the masquerade was not taken to the cell in the first place. I didn't see anything suggesting that the masquerade vanished in the post. Naija police sef, I'm sure some of the suspects paraded were just onlookers |
greatgod2012: Intelligence. Nice try@ OP, the key quality is for you as a lady to be able to decode what your guy wants. There are peculiarities with guys; different strokes for different folks. |
Thanks bro, its like you knew what I needed this morning. Starting my day on a better mood now ![]() |
27 years old question answered and a million other questions arising ![]() Was he working at the bank? Was there a robbery or fire outbreak 27 years ago that he decided to take an escape route? I leave the rest for FBI, NCIA and others |
When will he turn CharlyMAN? I hope it wouldn't be too late ![]() |
Osazee! Osazee!! Osazee!!! How many times have I called you? It's Osazee again. Who is it this time around? Comeon Osaz, talk to Daddy but not via twitter ![]() |
Impressed, but under the same healthy circumstance, the Nigerian kid would've done better.
I disagree with you on this, the priviledged Nigerian 8 year olds are busy With 2go, facebook and playing games on their mobile phones. Some ignorant parents even buy blackberry phones for their kids. |
Work for Pakistan, hmmm? I hope it won't be in the area of terrorism ![]() Anyway congrats Shafay; a challenge to Africa |
I wonder if this sectarian clash in Plateau will ever end. These people don't want to stay together. The government better start relocating some communities before something worse happens. |
All for the sake of SWAGGER ![]() Guys take heed o, Low ---- count |
Sorry for them o, 'from Nigerian frying pan to Egyptian fire'. Hope they get help soon |
@ OP If you don't trust the buccal swab, I'll advice you go for a confirmatory test (blood DNA test). Best of luck |
Lord help Rose and every other sick person all over the World. Have mercy on Nigeria, Lord |
Bolt2011: According to the bible, its over 2000 years that Jesus Christ completed His earthly ministry and King Solomon existed over 4000 years (I may be wrong) before Jesus. I'm not seeing the logic in their claim that the queen of Sheba's grave still existed in Ijebu. I'm not disputing it though, since remnants of Noah's ark can still be found on Mount Arafat/Ararat. |

Abagworo: And you've not heard "Bum Bum", "Sexy Ladies" and "Mana nogede". You are missing in action. Even Oyibo man Ferdinand tweeted about "Bum Bum" from England. Thanks for finding me Abagworo. At least am no more MIA. The aim of opening the thread has not been defeated afterall.
